It should be called nicotine continuation treatment.You are giving them nicotine, drug they are addicted to.How can you cure an addiction from a drug by taking the same drug that you are addicted to.It is absolute nonsense.
Actually nicotine is not what causes the hazardous health problems rather it's all the other toxic chemicals in a tobacco product...as it was clearly explained in this video by this very lovely lady.
