The nicotine in those kind of products is less addictive than the nicotine in cigarettes overall. This has to do with other chemical compounds that increase the habit forming properties of nicotine. Acetaldehyde is a chemical that increases neurological response to nicotine. It’s formed in cigarette smoke when tobacco additives are burned. Ammonia is intentionally added during cigarette manufacturing because it converts bound nicotine molecules into free molecules which causes an enhanced effect. There’s also MAOIs present that play a roll in increasing nicotine dependency.

Smoking has got to be more mental than physical when trying to quit because the second I found out I was pregnant with each one of my 3 babies those cigarettes went right in the trash and never picked up again until I finished breastfeeding. I just said to myself your done for a year and that’s it because I never would have been able to live with the guilt. It makes me sick that I was able to toss those cigarettes for my children but I find it so difficult to quit for myself now at 58yo. I want to quit smoking more than ever and I was successful for 4days in the beginning of January but the entire time I couldn’t stop thinking about wanting a cigarette, so day 5 I gave in and went back to it. Psychology and physically I want to be done with smoking forever and never look back, and I am determined to make this happen because I don’t want a heart attack or difficulties with breathing to be the reason I quit, I want to quit before any of those things happen because it’s terrifying to think about and because I have an 18 and 20yr that I need to be around for not to mention future grand babies that I want to be around for. Today is the last cigarette I smoked and the day I’m choosing to quit smoking for good!!!

How can you go cold turkey when you don't wanna quit but know you have to
I’ve been following you for a while, your channel has grown so much! Congratulations! I’m also a pharmacist making UA-cam videos but currently videos unrelated to pharmacy 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you so much!!
Do you want to see what else has grown😈

Just saw this, I hope you can still say you haven't smoked
Thank you for the encouraging video.👍 I am using every suggestion out there to prepare for my quit date on Nov 1. Have smoked for 40 years and regret I ever started. Cold turkey isn't for everyone, so I'll be patching since it helped me quit for one year before.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
I smoked for 1 year and now I have made up my mind I'm gonna quit smoking 🚬.. This is day 2 of quitting smoking. Wish me luck 🤞 I will never touch again I believe in my mind control A G never let his mind take control over himself. Support me guys I gotta quit by any means
I'm in South Africa. I definitely need a quit-smoking buddy

Thanks so much doctor. I quit four days ago. I am breathing better so good. This is a good video! Good luck to others who are trying to quit too.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm going to be starting next week. Wish me luck! Thanks again for the awesome advice. 👌

7:47 Best advise for someone like me. I live with my Mom, Wife and my brother and all of them smoke.
What sucks is I can’t use replacements for nic because I’m under 21 but I used to buy cigarettes legally at 18 so they basically got me addicted then screwed me because they changed the age from 18 to 21 here in CO
Haven't quit yet but eliminated smoking while driving and lightning up as soon as I wake up. Baby steps.
This is my 5th time trying to quit I have been smoking for 50ty years today is day 5 I feel great when I want a smoke I think bout the money in my jar I have been saving 10.00 a day keeps me from wanting to smoke I wish you all good luck in finding your way😊

Biggest problem for me, when i inhale a smoke from someone, the cravings come in full effect
Use masks
Tell yourself that you feel bad for them that they are slaves to cigarettes and you get to be healthier and free and no longer mind controlled by them
THIS VIDEO MADE MY INSPIRED TO BE SMOKE FREE PERSON, THANK YOU!

Someone I love is trying to quit smoking, but he finds that nicotine gum makes him feel sick. He’s only smoking 4-6 cigarettes a day. Can he take half a piece of gum, if he feels it’s too strong?
What 4 to 6
Thanks alot for the information
So nice of you
Replace the habit by drinking water .
I socially smoke but I’m scared I’m going to get addicted because whenever I’m out with friends or I’m at college I always feel the need to smoke😩I wanna stop before it gets worst
You got this Y R
You better I started smoking in 6th grade I'm 32 now I hate it my fiance hates it I have to quit.
Yes stop now if you can. I started out the same way. Eventually something stressful happened and then I started smoking regularly. Maybe get the gum and just use it in social situations that make you want to smoke.
That’s how I started. Just socially smoking than it turned into more.
Great video. Today is my day to begin this journey. Thank you Abraham.

@59 yrs old in2017 I had a stroke spent 2wks in hospital in Ala. My sister from N Mich.came to get me and take care of me I didnt smoke for 4yrs. Then during the transition of moving out on my own selling my home in the south and buying a trailer in a retirement park in mich haven't been able to quit but want to badlywill work very hard to try and make it happen.
I quit smoking 2 months ago and I have no problem, I started smoking in 2013, year 11 of high school, I started exercising more
Last time I stopped smoking cigarettes.. I found it was easier for me not to empty the ash trash. I counted how many I had the day before. It took about a month..one cigarette less a day. & also timed how long between. & waited a little longer.. even just butting it out.. Now I'm wanting to stop.. So here I am.. Looking for maybe other ideas & support.
This is a great idea - leaving the evidence in the ashtray so you can be plenty disgusted with yourself. Thanks for the tip.
Thank you for the suggestions I've been smoking for about 10 to 12 years and it just make me feel like shit and I can really want to quit... Smoke about a pack a day I hope this helps me
I hope my tips help! You got this!

Its 2:19 pm CST today 812/21. I quit. I haven't had a cigarette today. I'm so tired of not being able to breathe correctly. I'm tired of not having any energy, I'm tired of worrying about my health, I'm tired of spending $300.00 a month I don't have, I'm tired of the smell, the ashes, I'm tired of my teeth always being stained, I'm tired of not resting properly, I'm tired of waking up feeling exhausted, im tired of scheduling my day around my cigarette schedule, I'm tired of not being able to go to certain places because I know people look at me funny because I smell like an ash tray, I'm just F'ng tired of being tired of everything. I want my brain and my life back. Please wish me luck. I've asked God to help me so I know I'll succeed but I'm ask y'all to just be here for me if I need you. Will it be hard? Sure. Am I afraid? Hell no. F! Cigarettes.
