I had been trying to get to Heroes Con for the past 4 years and I was able to make it this year. I must say that was fantastic! Totally agree with the pricing, you CAN find great deals if you keep on hunting. Loved my experience!!
I don’t blame the writers/artists for taking a long time talking. I blame the people in line with zero social awareness, asking question after question after question, without ANY thought that there are people waiting behind them in line.
You make a good point but I think it comes down to both parties involved honestly. And there is nothing wrong with talking to the creators for a bit, I actually think that’s a great part of the experience, I just think we should all be aware of other people around us
I was there too. It was my first time at Heroes Con! I traveled from New York City. I got 79 books! The most ever from a convention. It was a great show. You did a great job with this video. Bravo!
Its refreshing to see female comic book collectors digging in boxes. Comics are for women also. Liked your video. Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC looks great. wow.
Great video man! Glad to find your channel in my suggestions. Broke everything down super well, and looked like you had a ton of fun! Great pick ups as well
sounds like a good time. If the book is already slabbed an I don't really want to crack it, I'll just have the creator sign the case. It doesn't bother me none. Charles Soule did good job following up Scott Snyder's Swamp Thing
Hey there! I just found your channel, however, I'm not a big online person. I've been collecting since I was 5-6 years old. (45+/-years & pushing 10k comics)😮 Really liked your content and will definitely be back to watch. Love seeing the young folks talk about the "old" comics 😂 That was my first time at hero's con. I don't get along with large crowds but I must say the way they set that up, there was plenty of room to move about. I got a FANTASTIC deal on Batman #181 complete with pinup 5.5 CGC. I'll be back next year because I do agree that it is geared towards comic books. 👏
How long does it take Roy Thomas to steal creator credit? And btw Thomas and his team may advertise it in a specific way but his team does take a profit (not saying he shouldn't btw!), and I know this for a fact, a portion of his profits go to either HERO Initiative or a local animal outreach.
Stay away from high grade comics that booth is always insanely overpriced. I loooked at 3 books on the way that were $1,700-2k then looked at GPA and they go for $400-$500.
New sub here. Heroes 2024 was freaking AMAZING!!! Steranko is the worst lol. I've heard nothing but horror stories from his line. 2 of my friends complained about how he handled their books lol. Great pick-ups. That Thor #168 is PHENOMENAL.
Nice pick ups. Think the 50 dollars for a signature sucks but you have these resellers making money off the artist and writers. They were jerked for royalties when they were working so I kind of don’t blame them. People who get screwed are the fans who just want a signature and the experience of meeting the artist or writer.
Your exchange with Jim Steranko was unfortunate. His art is truly inspirational. My father (the greatest generation) always emphasized that one should never discuss politics and/or religion. I suspect that at 85 years he may be going through a "Junior Soprano" phase. Thankfully, it seems you were discreet about your dissatisfaction regarding his views on politics. Keep 'em flying.
EJ, great Video, I would like to go to Heroes Con 2025, do they do “pay on the Day Tickets”🥺? As I would be coming from the Uk, and don’t know how to book tickets. Many Thanks
man i bet we would get along great lol we think very much a like thinking of opening up a comic bookl store too so im going to subsrcibe check ya out and you never know maybe ill run in to ya some time at one of these things
I show them in the video, one of them was the first appearance of carol Danvers which I think is pretty cool, but I bought more than what I showed in the vid and I will be making shorts about each book as well 👍
Thanks a ton, this was super helpful!
very helpful, worth the watch
You should also check out the Charlotte Mini Con over in Concord!
Thanks for letting me know! Will do!
Great pickups! Hope to see the rest of your haul
ill definitely try that, thanks!

I always find good deals at Heroescon. Just keep looking
Agreed!
This was my first time at Heroes. What an amazing Con. Can't wait for next year. There were plenty of $1, $2, and $5 bins at Heroes for digging.
New sub!!! Your comics are sweet! Haven’t been to Heroes since 2011.
Thanks!🙏

Good scores. I also like when the title logos are one offs. It's cool to get random shit like the green lantern ring.Your right always haggle. Its fun.
Love Heroes con. I saw myself when you were walking in. Congratulations on the pick ups.

Wow 79 that’s awesome! I didn’t count but I basically filled a short box 😎
Man, the more I hear about Heroe's Con the more I need to put it on my list.

Maybe I'll make next year. I'm just about 2 hours from Charlotte.
Definitely worth it!

What bags and boards did you use for those silver age books? They look very well.
I used BCW Silver Mylar bags and BCW silver boards

Love to meet Roy Thomas creator of wolverine.
I don't even consider Galactus as a Villan. He's a force of nature.
nice haul
Thanks!

Good coverage, new subscriber.

@@ejthecollector cheers Mate, Sorry for the Questions, when do the Dates go up for next Year?

What were the rare comics? I didn't see any here?
How far did you watch? I showed a bunch of comics from both DC and Marvel 😁 including a Marvel Super Heroes 13 (first Carol Danvers)
@ejthecollector but those are nowhere close to being rare. There's thousands of all you showed in existence.
Where are these rare books you bought?
I show them in the video, one of them was the first appearance of carol Danvers which I think is pretty cool, but I bought more than what I showed in the vid and I will be making shorts about each book as well 👍
Ok, drug test yourself! Jr. Nice guy, art is mailed in. See Frank Miller....
