Hey man just stumble upon your channel great content looks like it was a great Khan as well would like to go there hopefully maybe this year keep up the great work
I'm a comics retailer and I love how you're calling out all the things that retailers should never, ever do. Pricing clearly & packing boxes too tight are two of my biggest pains when I'm getting punters feeding back to me about other dealers. Apart from the fact it's better to attract customers and make money, it saves the retailer a huge amount of work. Also I know a lot of cons charge a hell of a lot & I know all too well about that and how all the other things like transport, wages, bags, boards, etc all mount up but there's still far too many dealers pulling prices out of the air for some of their stock. I've done cons where other dealers are complaining of poor sales but I've been loading empty boxes in the van & taken tons of money because I'm not doing that. Anyhow, nice video. Excuse the rant!
@glennmiller3145 thanks for watching. If you can make the buyer experience better/easier you're going to sell more, basic business. I understand a small con markup but too many are nowhere market value. But with cons like this there are tons of really great sellers who do everything you're mentioning right.
Thanks man! I'm gonna work on my camera angles next time. I ended up finding a lot of books I'd never heard of that looked interesting. That's one of my favorite things about dollar box digging.
You’ve got great digging footage my guy. I don’t think I was able to snag any. I just did a walk around. About the overpriced stuff, there were a ton of very reasonable booths but there were several ones that I don’t think actually wanted to sell. I’m talking silver age Cap that’s normally MAYBE 30 with 120 on the sticker.
It's still strange to me that vendors bring books with no intention of selling them. I guess some expect haggling, but some did have great deals. Was awesome meeting you too, man, and thanks for the book, it brought me luck 😂.
Here by way of Lettuce Comics! I'm a Wolverine mark too! He'd probably be my favorite character if Lobo, Etrigan, and Hitman didn't exist. I own the first 6 volumes of Wolverine, a feat I reached just this year. Took me 11 years to do so. Trying to fill in the last few holes I have of the current run on shelves! Looking forward to more content from you, glad to see you met Lettuce Comics at Heroes. I myself met a fellow comic UA-camr for the first time this year in Twenty2 Comics. He's 1 1/2 hour straight interstate shot south of me so it's not hard to get together, I consider him my YT best friend. Maybe you and Lettuce can foster a similar friendship.
Thanks for checking out my channel! I hope Lettuce and I can foster the same, he's not too far from me. The first 6 volumes is an impressive collection! I've now got the first 3, untra rare variants not included.

Fun hunting video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking out the channel!
I dug through some of those same bins. There were a lot of good deals around. Thanks for the vid.👍
Yeah. Such a great con. Hope you got some awesome books!
Thanks

Nice pick ups from the con. Heroes has got to be the best con on the east coast. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I need to check out some other cons, but I've been spoiled so far. Lol
Such a great con. 2024 was my first trip to Heroes, but I'll be back.
I'm lucky to live close by. I'm excited to see how much bigger it can get because it has grown every year.
@@BoneClawsComics I'm only 1.5 hours away now, so plan to be there every year going forward.
Fellow comictuber 👋

@@BoneClawsComics no worries can't wait to catch more of it
Love a good digging video. And this was a good digging video!
Never heard of the Illiad comic before, but that's a pretty cool find.

I like the term you used, gold veins. That’s kinda how it works! And now it’s going to be in my vocabulary 👍🏻
@@pamvarner8044 It makes sense so that's what I go with.
