What ab amazing haul yet again! That last book is just an awesome surprise for sure. Great books all the way through! I actually took a 2 hour drive last Wednesday and filled a short box with dollar comics. Had a great time digging for 4 stunning hours!😂 In that haul I came across a sub-mariner 18 that I was happy to grab! Rough but still a fun find from 1969! Can't wait to see the next haul!
@@northgardencomics I've been on a firestorm kick lately. Got quite a few of those. Also a large amount of teen titans ranging from vol 1 and 2 and then the tales books. Detective and Batman and. Mostly fillers for everything. Some marvel in there as well of course!
Agreed. Felt a little weird calling them filler. I don’t love the term because it feels like it’s a dig, like saying they are throwaway issues and stories. But many of the good stories and art aren’t labeled as “keys”.
My latest classic Marvel grab was @ 3 Rivers Con in PGH!! Found a Low-grade FF 37 w/ rather large staining for $2!! Rotten shape ....likely needs an upgrade, but just amazed I found it in the $2 boxes!!
grew up in Hastings MN and when me and my friend would hang out during the summer his mom would work in St Paul and would take us to work with her and drop us off at the nearest Shinders Book store and we would dig through their store for hrs and I finished my run of Invaders there back in the day. We probably shouldn't have been running around StPaul as 8th graders and 9th graders during the summer but damn it was fun and we hit up many a book store and Antique shop during those summers finding cool cheap comics
Great dollar bin haul@ fantastic. Wanted to let you know captain America #192 is first moonstone. Captain America #217 is first quasar. $40 in high grade. And ff #51 is classic story. But be careful that black stuff is mold!
@northgardencomics it can be removed but it's very tricky. Just keep it away. It Is also bad for you to breathe it in. Lots of youtube videos on it. Nice book though
Reprints are great because they give access to stories outside the original but I do feel torn about the different covers. Sometimes they’re cool especially if they are done by the same artist but with the older books, when variants weren’t a thing, the cover is definitely how we recognize an iconic story so it would be nice to have the original.
A VERY GOOD FF STORY Is FF #38-40 (Reprinted in MARVEL'S GREATEST #34) It's one of the double-sized 25 cent issues... Good tale where the FF are powerless and have to infiltrate the Baxter Bldg, taken over bu Dr. Dooom!!
The Zeck Cap stuff is so dang cool

Like they say, low grade is better than no grade. What other treasures did you find to fill that short box?

Yep, it's MARVEL'S GREATEST # 31!!
Oh, 31? I have 34. Gotta keep hunting!
@@northgardencomics Good Hunting!!
i settled for a Marvel's Greatest Comics reprint of FF 38, it's in decent condition and was only $3 but it not the same cover as the original.

Good to know! I have that issue of Marvel’s Greatest Comics but haven’t read it yet.
@@northgardencomics Need to double-check that issue #, but I've always thought that tale superior to # 48-50. Enjoy that # 51!!
Grease pencil?
Yes! Thank you!
