thanks for the video. Please make another video with settings of levels for sennheiser lav mics and without lav mics. Plus, can it be used in this way - one transmitter with lav connected to a person, another transmitter inside the case as a interview mic being used by another person. Regards...
@@ayurvedamentor I won't have a chance to test it until next year, sadly, as I'm off of work (where I have access to one), and I've not gone one of those myself. I'm 99% it should work tho
Interesting product. I to miss the 32bit float function and since I'm a Sony user, the hot shoe connectivity would be great. Another thing, if they make it look like a podcast mic, it would be more appeling to use it as an USB mic. An if you have an extra mic or good friends at Sennheiser, I would love to do a review in Slovene lenguage.
You tested both this and the EW-DP UHF system using the ME2 lav mic. How does the quality of the transmitted audio from the Profile Wireless transmitter compare to that of the EW-DP SK transmitter?
Mariusz Gajdzik, I like the look and sound of this. Yes. But, no 32BIT float? The competitors offer 32BIT float. Are you inferring at 18:25 that Sennheiser will offer new version soon with 32BIT internal recording? Is that definite?
Sadly not at this stage but it’s something I’m trying to push for haha, the more comments like this the better as I’m sure Sennheiser are looking at people’s feedback 😉
Hey there. Were you recording to the internal storage or to your camera in the samples? The Vistek review said that the recording sounded worse when using the wireless recording and suggested using the internal recording instead. That would limit the of this system for me, if that was the case.
Even though 32bit float is more than expected these days and makes no sense to not include it… it still sounds like an amazing product for the price. 300 usd is much better than what I would have expected (looking at you, Shure 🧐). One question, as it wasn’t clear enough. can you do back up recording for both transmitters at the same time? Would be great, since there’s no 32bit float available. And I wish they made an adapter to use it with my Lumix camera! Lumix users would jump straight into it if they included such an adapter. #lumixcamerasmatter 🤣
Each transmitter is able to record stereo file with regular gain setting as well as -6db recording so this is great for backup recording as it gives options in the edit in case the regular gain track is clipped :)
Great product for sure however, where is the 32 bit float recording capability? Its similarly priced to the DJI mic 2 and Rode Wireless Pro but lacks that feature that most of us actually want. There are other alternatives for a cheaper price for the same specs like the Hollyland Lark M2. Sure it doesn’t have that handheld mic charger thing but I dont think people will actually hold that charger up on someone’s face like a mic. Its like holding a Zoom H6 or something. Im not hating on this product. Its just that Sennheiser is great when it comes to making high quality product but why did they make this?
It has a stereo safety recording mode that works similar to 32bit float - it records regular gain setting to one channel and -6db to the other channel. I’d love to see the 32bit float on the spec sheet too, but this is a good option for having peace of mind about the internal recording not clipping.
@ Don’t the Rode Wireless Pro and DJI Mic 2 have that? You can actually record 32-bit float and run safety channels at the same time with the Rode and DJI.
@@MariuszGajdzik This product seems to be a solid mic however, it lacks the functionality that most mics have on this price range and this is not a jab at you. I know for sure that someone in that expert control group, that you are part of, suggested 32-bit float but Sennheiser must have said no which was a bad move.
I totally get it, I guess what I'm trying to say is there are people in the world who don't care about 32-bit float (the agency I work for and many others, I'm sure), and they will care that this is 50 bucks less
this is their reply from comments under their video about the product "Hi there, we appreciate your kind words! 32 Bit float audio recording is supposed to make internal recordings "un-clippable", but sadly this is not fully true as it does not prevent the microphone capsule from overloading on loud noises - which will also cause the recording to clip. With Profile Wireless we have chosen another path to minimize the risk of audio clipping: Internal stereo-recording. Instead of increasing from 24 to 32 bit, our Profile Wireless features stereo recording on its internal microphone that records with two different audio levels, thereby maximizing the used audio bandwidth of the microphone capsule and reducing the chance of clipped audio. Stereo recording is also applicable when an external lavalier is connected." They also have a video about the function - ua-cam.com/video/B6vo1shmiLs/v-deo.htmlsi=kZElJk-zpYwS0Ixp
Love Sennheiser but seriously, no 32-bit float = a hard pass, especially at how much they're charging for this. Other mics in this category and price range have 32-bit float.
Fair enough, I’m sure there’s lots of people that don’t need the 32 bit float tho, but I get you need it, and thankfully we live in times where we have so much choice :)

świetny film! dzięki Mariusz
Hi. Can you feed a line level signal to the trs input? Thanks
I don’t see why not, you can adjust the gain on the trs input to have right levels

Yes, I’ve tried that setup. It works like that without any issues.
@@Quick-Tech-Tutorials Thanks.
Yes, this works as previously mentioned 😊
Hi, can we attach or mount the transmitter on Rode Interview Go. Rode Wireless pro and dji mic 2 easily attach to it?
It has a very similar clip to rode and DJI so I’d say it should work, but not tried myself
@@MariuszGajdzik Please check this if possible for you...

The profile wireless transmitter does perfectly fit onto the Interview GO adapter - just tested it myself ;)
@@Noname85-i4k Thanks
Great review on the product, considering picking it up even though it doesn’t have 32bit float
looks like a well thought out design
I thought so too!
Impressive 😮
I love it 🤘🏼

I don’t know anything about the second version, it’s more of a wishful thinking on my part 😉
hot shoe can transmit digital audio without cable in Sony cameras?

All the recordings in my video are either to the Sony FX3 camera or my MacBook on Davinci Resolve, so I wouldn’t worry about it 😊
Does the Lightning do mono and stereo, or just mono?
Stereo baby 🤘🏼
Will it start internal recording when start filming when starting camera recording or do you need to start separately?
Need to start the recording yourself, it’s a double tap on the receiver on the screen

rotating wheel or a joystick would make this perfect. Touch screen is a bit janky to use
This would probably make it more bulky, but I see what you mean

No 32bit …. Big flaw…. Not interested….
Checkout the safety recording on transmitter with stereo recording left track is your set levels, right channel is -6db - they have a video on it
Impressive design but no 32 bit in 2024 is just a great NO
Thank you for your efforts. The second version must have a 32bit float and it will be a very attractive product.
Fingers crossed, but for now there’s a safety recording where the left track is your level and the right track is -6db so it still helps a lot
Why not 32 bit????

Handheld mic idea is CHEEZY. Sennheiser is late to the game.
Interesting, cheezy how? We use that all the time for voxpops at the agency i work for
