First. I think this is just what I want, I want a reciver and shotgun mic on my camera where the shotgun mic to record to one chanel and a witeless mic on me to record to the other channel while I go through a construction site talking about what I am seeing while the audio goes to my camera and is recorded in the receiver. Liked. Subscribed.

what is delay of the system? Anyway, lack of the internal mic and 32bit make it a bit outdated.... Why they cant understand that :)
Can you do back up recording for both transmitters at the same time?
Yes they record independently from each other.
does this transmit and record or did it have to lose the transmission to start recording internally
You can choose to record manually at any time (which i would recommend always doing this), but as shown when the signal cuts out, the transmitters (if not already recording) will start to record what is being said to them. You just have to sync in post to replace the audio recorded in camera with the audio recorded in the transmitter.

Will it start internal recording when start filming when starting camera recording or do you need to start separately?
Separately
There’s three ways to start recording: 1) you can manually press the record button on the clip-on mic (transmitter) 2) you can double tap on the receiver for either mic to start recording on the transmitter 3) you can enable “Backup Recording”in the receiver menu and when it detects any drop or weak signal it will automatically trigger recording on the transmitter.
I don't mind it not having 32 bit float ( I think that's kind of an overrated feature anyway )... I do mind that the hotshoe adapter lacks a tightening screw.

As much as I'd love to support Sennheiser, ever since Rode Wirelelss Pro, I wouldn't want anything without 32b float.

Yeah, they (Sennheiser) lost me at "no 32-bit float". What a shame!
Agreed, this seems like a very thought out system but at this point not having 32bit is a deal breaker.
Thats why most people lost trust with UA-camrs because UA-camrs encourage companies to make products that are sub par or not that good and call them great or a game changer or an all in one solution or UA-camrs allow these companies to get airtime because of “at the end of day, we want to get paid” kind of thinking.
too late Sennheiser, too late...
Sennheiser has entered the consumer wireless race, late and too big and bulky IMO, couldn't be used with the Insta360's 360 cams without seeing it. The thickness is a total miss and a major oversight from Sennheiser. I would expect more(meaning less bulk) from them. Hand mic mode is inovative though.
