Ah thank you! This was helpful for my wallet because I have a ton of LE products, so I know which skip and which to get. Also helpful for my day as I’m going through chemo right now and makeup is such a fun creative distraction.
I'm sorry to hear you're going through chemo. That must be exhausting and painful. I hope things get better soon. Thanks so much for watching today. I love using makeup as a enjoyable distraction. I deal with chronic pain and neurological issues, and my YT channel is what I do to distract myself. I get so excited to try new things, or reach for old favorites. These new LE Baume Embrace are lovely, but if you have a lot of her existing shades, they're mirrored in the 5 colors of the baumes. Just a different texture.
Loved this video! I love LE lip products but I decided to skip the baume embrace collection because the Lucents are just about decent pigmentation for me. Anything below that and the colour isn't really going to show up on me. I think the LE glosses might work better for me as a product that serves the purposes of lip treatment + slight colour + shine
Yes, you'll probably like the higher level of pigment from the glosses. These baumes are very sheer, and have such a lovely "barely there" tint. I'm so glad you found this helpful. I like the new formula, but if you already have some of these in the Lucent formula, I don't think you'd "need" these. Thanks for watching today.
Exactly what I needed !! Great and helpful comparison. I was not sure what colour to pick to test if i like the new formula. This video helped me a lot, especially since i have already some shades in the other formulas from Lisa.
They all look fantastic on you! It's so fun to see the colors show up somewhat different on everybody 😄 Sweet Fig looks like a see through version of Affair on me for example. ❤
Ooh, I thought Affair was going to be too dark, so I didn't pull it for this video. I do love how these shades and formulas look different on everyone. That's what so magical about the shades that Lisa creates. They're equally lovely on so many. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, so helpful! This confirms for me that Sweet Fig is the one I want to try that won’t repeat what I have, but I’ll probably wait for fall, as that’s when that color speaks to me.
YESSSS! This is the video I've been waiting for since the launch of the Baume Embrace! Thank you so much for being the first youtuber to make it! :) Edit: Ok, now that I've watched your video you showed me all the comparisons I wanted to see except for one ;) I think Metropolis could be very close to the Decade gloss. I use that gloss in a thin layer (I'm also very pale) and it feels like they could be quite close.
I think I'm the only fan of the brand who doesn't love the Gloss Embrace Formula. I don't have Decade in the gloss formula. I only have Muse and Blush. I also almost never wear them. It's not because I don't like the formula or shades, but I really dislike the applicator. I won't purchase any more because the applicator and I don't get a long. Sorry I can't help you.
Thank you for doing this! I was hoping you’d post something like this this morning. Like you I have chronic pain (fibromyalgia & ME) and this morning is particularly rough, I need a fun distraction until my meds kicks in. Also, Rose Official and Painterly is now firmly on my LE wishlist. Thanks!
Ooh, I'm so sorry you deal with chronic pain. My mom deals with fibromyalgia, so I'm quite familiar with the symptoms and struggles of those who have it. I hope you get good relief from your meds. I'm sorry today is particularly rough. I'm always happy to talk makeup, and especially LE lipsticks. They're my favorites! Thanks for watching, and rest up! You deserve it.
I have very purple leaning lips and rose official is 'my lips but better'. I also use the formula as a mix in to naturalize other colors closer to my lips undertones.
Her lip products all seem so beautiful, and I’m definitely gonna have to look into some of those shades. I’m certainly going to skip on the bombs because I want more pigment even though I don’t suffer from things traveling they just don’t seem to have enough payoff and a lot of other glossy bombs I have to. But are the products certainly seem beautiful and I still gotta get on board with that skin tint lol.
I really like the skin tint. It's my everyday go to for non-filming days. I'm really enjoying the balms, but I'm reapplying them all day. I'm going to burn through these this summer. The Rom&and Glasting Melting Balms are similar in texture, but last longer and have more pigment. If you're loving those, you can skip these. I would recommend the matte or insanely saturated formulas since you like matte lipsticks. I also have a super soft spot for the lucent formula.
@@thelipstickgal I totally agree as I love the Glasting melting balms. I hate matte lol so her Lucient formula is something I am eying, and love the colors you’ve featured
This video is so helpful. I thought that epanoui was close to rose official, but I have not compaired them just jet. This video tells me also I am not interested in red curve or metropolis. I have night thoughs and think I prefer that little bit of burgundy in it than the more gray tone of metropolis. Red curve is to warm toned for me. That sweet fig is so close in tone to fawn makes that I am suddenly interested in that shade. But for now I am good with the 2 shades I got. ( meet cute and epanoui) If I finnish one of those I allow myself to go for sweet fig. ( I told you in the previous video that the flavour was the reason I would not repurchase, I still don't like that flavour but I love the feel of these so much that i changed my mind about the repurchase...)
There was a comment thread in this video where people were talking about the scent and flavor. I haven't noticed anything in mine, but your nose might be more acute than mine. I will certainly repurchase the lightest 3 if I happen to buzz through them this summer, but I'll wait on the darker ones. I want a low maintenance lippie, and the darker ones need their hand held on my complexion.
@@thelipstickgal It is strange but I notice a scent that is like one of the other viewers discribes as an old creaon kind of smell. But other viewers talk about a vanilla scent but that I don't get at all. In the ingredients list there is written "flavor" so there is an added flavour to these. They are not fragrance free like here other lipsticks. I purchased without checking the ingredients list first because I didn't expected there would be an added flavor because she didn't mentioned it, and because every single product she relaised previously was fragrance free. So at first that was really a disappointed for me. But I like the formula so much that I now can look over it. As long as my skin is good with it everything is fine for me. ( I had eczema before from flavour and fragrance in skincare and make up)
yeah, I feel the same way about the scent, but I am trying to ignore it, because I just love the product too much. I reckon the natural butter smell had to be covered with something otherwise I cannot understand why she would start adding a scent to her perfectly scent-free lip products. For those interested: it is kind of a vanilla like scent and do not eat it, tastes horrible.
This was such a helpful video Thankyou Rebecca😊 Like you I have almost all of Lisa’s bullet lipsticks. I am surprised at how similar the baumes were to the comparison lipsticks when applied to the lips. Given this, I have decided to pass on the baumes now and continue to enjoy my LE bullets lipsticks instead. KRs Nicole 🇦🇺💄🐨
Thanks so much for watching today Nicole. I'm so glad that this was helpful. I wanted to make sure I did lip swatches so you could see how they compared. On the back of my hand, the differences are more stark. On my more pigmented lips, it's harder to tell the differences. If you're enjoying three bullet lipsticks, I think you'll be ok without the Baumes. They're lovely, but very similar to many shades from the existing range.
@@thelipstickgal I was only interested in getting Épanoui and maybe Metropolis, the others are too warm for me.
