Metropolis has almost no color on me, and I'm Light. I'm surprised by how much pigment you're getting. Actually, Black Honey may be more flattering. These are thin on the lips and very emollient. The Suqqu, which I love, has more pigment and doesn't feather as much. I prefer the Suqqu. It is more healing on my lips too. But they need a deep blackberry in the Moisture Glaze and don't have it. I wish Lisa would make a Satin lipstick in these colors. Thanks for the video.💚

Agreed. I bought Metropolis thinking I would love it, im very pale and it literally looks like a pale purple on me. It makes me look dead.
@@Pumpkinpatch30 I was shocked. Lisa is usually a master of color. And I usually look very good in deep, sheer shades. But this one pulls gray in a way that sucks all the color from my skin. Which is weird because the color is barely there. Then, as it starts to wear off, what little color there is accumulates in fine lines on my lips in a strangely ugly way. On the plus side, her customer service is superb and I had no problem getting a refund. They were lovely.
Lisa usually does very well on her lip products . I have not tried those, yet seen it shown. Seems like nice and light feeling for summer . Pretty colors 😍💜💗👍🌹

Lovely… I ordered Red Curve and Metropolis. (Her site says 2.8g of product which is not 0.02oz. Something is off it seems)
Correct! For comparison, Guerlain and YSL sheer lippies are 3.2g. Lisa's is a little smaller, but not tremendously so.
@@marygillespie2028 @mlcarv yes! i saw that too! and was questioning if it was a typo. But when i checked against my YSL 2.8g should be .09oz . I have a hard time believing .02oz because i know her stuff is expensive but it doesn't even fall in line with her other lipsticks and those are $2 more for 3.5g/.12oz
right how does it appear to be so much less, even TF slim lipsticks are .8g/ .03oz. I've seen those vary slightly depending on the website and i don't own one but found .9g on TF website and Harrods .8g, most have it listed .03oz or niemans .02oz still all pretty much aligned
I just ordered two of the Augustinus Bader Tinted Lip Balms and they are lovely! 4 grams of product and decent pigmentation level. Happy pass on the Lisa release ❤
I ordered the middle Austin’s Bader lip balm shade- I think it’s Raspberry! Should be here soon! So happy to hear so many like this new product. I’ve been wearing mostly lip balms lately. They are formulating them so nicely now -I think I prefer them to a lipstick.
My new Lisa Lip Baume was delivered this afternoon. Epanoui is a lovely my lips but better. Feels very comfortable. I already owned her Lucent Lip in Spirited Away and it is my favorite lipstick right now. I also received today my first order of original True Velvet Matte Lip in Rain. It is truly gorgeous. I have pencil 2C.
Here is the deal: these 3 different types are pretty much the same shade. So I guess now I really do have a signature Lip color. Ha Ha Highly recommend any LE lip product.
Could I ask whether you find the Spirited Away shade darker than Epanoui, or are they very similar? It would be helpful to know before I try the Lip Baume.
@@kathparkinson598 I think they are similar enough in color that I didn’t need both. Spirited Away may appear slightly darker because of formulation. Epanoui is the perfect my lips but better color. I find that I use it on top of the Velvet Rain to keep lips from drying out.

I have Epanoui, which is very nice, but I honestly thought I would get a bit more color payoff with it based on other reviews I've seen. But overall, a nice buttery balm.

I have been waiting for 0 n liner to come back but it hasn't sure we will be waiting atleast 6 months lol but I made a space NK order for the 1 n liner,face wash balm , and mist a couple days before these released but now I think I want 2 n as well so I will order 1 or 2 of these lip balms and 2 n . I can't decide if I want the pink and sweet fig or meet cute . I know the red and the dark shade I wouldn't touch they aren't my colors . All of them look great on you though. I really like the face wash from her and it as a face mask , I have gotten a few samples and it made me buy it so brands should definitely give out samples preferably deluxe size samples not sachets.

I love a balmy lip as a dry lip girl. How is their longevity? Some balms last longer than others (some literally just minutes 😕). Also, do you have a lip liner recommendation for dry lips? I really hate how a dry pencil feels after a few hours. I haven’t tried LE liners yet.
Jennifer great video review. I’d love to ask how you think they compare to the Sisley which I saw in your Favorites video. BTW the curve red and the last one, aperitif? Both look beautiful on you. I think red might be too orange on me but the last one appeals to me ❤

Love how you reviewed with liners around, Jennifer. It gives greater perspective. I usually don’t wear liners. But I have 2c from these sculpt liners, and I pair with Chanel Blanche nuit 6pm . Great combination. I am not so much into glossy oily products. Have a few just got Armani in red Cherry . It’s nice but still sticky 🤪 So I was thinking to get 2, but not so sure about épanoui yet. Going with red curve. Now Lisa , in her video used 2w , would you suggest go with 2w, if I want the balm to stay warm.. I don’t want to bring out no brown, no cool tones… just be bright orange red😜 please advise thank you kindly and have a blessed day🙏❤️

Guerlain came out with new pencil lip liners and they look like they might be good as well looking at 02 and 03 shade .
I saw them in store and they are sooo nice, quite unique undertones and a nice thin nib

Jen, I also prefer these applied without any lip-liner. Unless one needs to adjust the colouring or definition, there really isn't any point. I loved all of them, especially the third applied. I've tried so many balms etc. now, that my next step is to purchase the new Chanel lip serum and see what comes of that. These balms all looked lovely on you and hope they work in keeping your lips moisturised. Jen, do you mind telling me the name and shade of your nail polish? I bought the shade Sweet Fig. I love it and I’m going to get the pink and red shades next. Does anyone else think it has a smell/taste to it? I can’t figure out what it is but I don’t love it. I do love how shiny and plumping it is so I’ll still wear these. They don’t dry out the lips but feel nourishing. It doesn’t last long on my lips but I don’t mind reapplying it. I think these are different from all the other balms out there. Thanks for the great video. ❤
Yes it has an aroma added which is unusual because the rest of her lip products are flavourless and fragrance free but her team say it was necessary due to the natural odour in some of the ingredients
Yes! There is a smell to it which creates a taste as well. I don’t like it but they feel great on the lips so I’ll keep the two I ordered but won’t order more.
hi Jennifer, I don't have any of her sculpting pencils but i wonder how her suggested application would work?if I outline lips only and so lip bal, lip balm being balm in its nature fill fade a lot quicker that pencil and I end up with overdrawned lips?if I fill up lips with pencil and apply balm I created barrier between lips and balm and I doubt my lips get and skincare benefits at all.
So there is a technique of blurring the pencil a bit into the lip. You can use your finger or a cotton swab!
Épanoui. Don’t emphasize the second syllable. The three syllables have equal emphasis. I ordered Épanoui with the 1C pencil. I have quite pigmented rosy pink lips to begin with and so the pinkness really comes into play when I wear this combo. I’ve only worn it a couple times so the jury is out as to whether or not I’d repurchase. It is quite expensive for what we get. None of the other colors attracted me, but that’s a personal preference.
I love the colours I got, but they taste like cheap chapstick 🤢 wouldn’t buy again 😢

I tried 4 shades 3 out of 4 don't show on mi at all. I don't have large lips and after application my lips are almost invisible it's just this nasty shiny finish cheap products leave on lips, Ingredients in this lip product you ca find in a few lip products on market. very disappointing launch from the brand she can name it whatever she likes, I fell for this sweet talk before and makes you think you are buying something special, when in fact you are getting average lip product with cute name.
Lisa has a station at Liberty's in London now. I don't know, sitting next to westman atelier, suqqu, surratt, her whole range just lacks that 'je ne sais quoi'
I disagree. Her products are a cut above the rest, though I must say I’m not a fan of this launch or the eye pencils. But everything else is amazing.
