So I have received the cable and cd, all installed and setup as it should. Do I need to get the full registered version to perform proxy alignment?
Yes you do need the full version to do it. Explain to seller is my advice.

From another vehicle. A good quality parts place will sell you a working one. Good luck. 5051 or 5052 different generations 1st gen or 2nd gen. Was what I went on anyway

Thank you for your video... I'd like to ask you some questions please... I'm living in Ireland, and here it doesn't seem that I'm surrounded by many Alfa specialists... I have an obd reader ( elm 327, same colour as your one orange) I often connected it to my giulietta and always been able to read faults. My obd reader is wireless, so I'm not too sure if you are using an adaptor because you can not connect directly to the vehicle or it is a different device al together... also, how do you connect the obd reader to the laptop? Thank you in advance
The one I bought came with the software that you needed to install and wires. The guy was very helpful I bought it from. I sent him a message when I couldn't make it connect at start with software. See description for this you tube video
@cranswil i just got a quotation from alfa dealer in Ireland...
It looks to be the blue & me unit that is the issue. You would need to replace the unit and the cost is €759.59 +VAT (labour cost included). There is 1 unit available in Dublin at present. 🫨😟
Find the box yourself with same 4 starting 4digits to one you have and follow little mechanics videos on removing glove box and my video and you will get a replacement for about 140quid.
@cranswil so I must replace the mechanical part, I thought it was only a matter of software update... ok I will follow the video and see what I can video... where can I get the box?
@cranswil hi, sorry I bother you again... ok, I understand now. Before the proxy alignment, there is to be replied the physical unit of the Bluetooth, apparently... when you say, find the 4 digit to the one you have, what do you mean exactly, and where do I find the digit? Thank you in advance
I just got the blue nd me module repaired and successfully did a proxy alignment. The flashing milage is now fixed, however the blu and me is still not working. So seemingly the repair kn the .odule has not worked. How do we know if the system has detected the module or not? Is there a specififc module name for the blue and me module?
Ring the guy who repaired it for you. I'm not sure to be honest. Long time since I looked.
Does it also work without replacing the B&M module. If I just disconnect it?
The car can't find the box that's why it's flashing as box is bust. It doesn't recognise that bit of hardware anymore as can't connect to it properly. If you disconnected blue n me box it would still flash until you did a proxi alignment as it would still think something should be there. Is my understanding anyway.
One guy though said his just started working again a year later. A new battery might you never know make it work again one day randomly. But have only heard one person say that it started working again like that. He thought it was because it lacked enough power to say good night one time it switched it's self off and then box got stuck there. I think if you leave fuse in. It eats your battery there is a you tube video about it online. So may be best just taking that out. As it would continue to drain battery. But you can decide that yourself.
@@cranswil Yes, I’ve disconnected the B&M module a few months ago because it was draining the battery. If I don’t replace it and just do an proxy allignment whilst it is disconnected will it stop blinking you recon?
@@rickhonings2894 the proxi alignment finds or deletes what is and isn't connected. So It would get rid of old box from its memory then it wouldn't think it had something connected it didn't recognise I would think (don't know 100percent though.) But if you ring up that guy in my next video he'd do it for you. He was helpful
When I changed mine it forgot the old one. And then learned about the new box.

Hi, i'm happy for you for solving this problem. i have same problem my fiat500s and i remove Blue&me unit (PN:51968826) and install working one but not the same PN.. new box PN:51785281 and i can not making proxy aligment, gives fault codes.

should i install in same number?

Are usual features working when you put new box in that were broken before?
Like being able to make calls etc like it was before.
Do you have registered version of multi- escan?
Not sure on exact fiat numbers for your car. But likely first four numbers need to be same ie. 5051 is the 1st generation one I think and 5052 is 2nd generation one. For Alfa Guilietta I thought.
@@cranswil Yes, new box features working (bluetooh calls / usb reads) but when i make proxy aligment it does not match to may car and odometer flashig always :))
I wrote the numbers on the box label

@@sinanadali if it doesn't match to your car are you sure you've picked the correct version of your car on the options when connecting? Maybe check that. The other thing on Guilietta some software had sat Nov version not sure if that affects what box you need or just the software to download. Bar that not sure what to suggest as it box works for your car as you are making calls etc. If you get stuck guess just put a piece of black tape on it to stop seeing it.
Also are you sure you didn't buy the cheap cables and scannee to save pennies that aren't right. Rather than through a reputable place. Other people found that issue. Check out Tony Vialetto's how to connect by OBD2 video
@@cranswil yes i am sure i am choosing the right version. i think it doesn't match because they are not the same (PN) numbers. But system is working.. I'll be mad :D
Hi, I have a battery drain on my guilietta, and have noticed the flashing mileage 🤔 could this cause my battery drain? I have never had or used blue & me in the 5 years I have had my guilietta, thanks Jon
On some of the other videos it mentions fuse 36 and still pulling 0.25a even though broken. Can't advise if removing fuse would save the waste? Not completely sure

You need to buy the cables. The usb port goes into laptop off the ELM327

Hello everyone
I need your expertly on this issues please,I have Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2013. Recently purchased USB music transmitter adapter on eBay to enable me playing music via Bluetooth on my phone when I plugged in the adapter it works for 2mins then stopped and when I removed the USB adapter then find out that blue-me , USB port, voice control stopped working also mileage flashing.
This car is driving me crazy cos I have spend over 1200£ since I bought this car June last year

You have probably bought the inferior bluetooth adaptor about a tenner that plugs into back of blue n me box. Tony Vialetto had issues with this too and lost his call making ability but got the music playing. ua-cam.com/video/fzngzFyXfME/v-deo.html From reading that thread there is another adaptor that is about 35quid that is much better (think it could be this one. But not 100percent sure so haven't bought. I don't use Spotify so haven't bought it myself.
