@@conorfowler hahaha that's very true 😄 the led in the OG Pharaoh is a green laser pointer as well. Seriously, that thing projects a green circle onto the ceiling even when there's a lamp on in the room.
The ELLE from Big Ear is a similar verb, does the haunting feedback-y modulated spring thing really well and can be pushed into beautiful self-oscillation. It's also great going into a drive, I run it into a Fairfield Barbershop.
@@DirtyDemos I've tried/owned a couple, and they're always fun. Although the latency on Aqueduct is not really acceptable to me personally at 52ms. Other than that, I think they're making amazing stuff!
I really didn't think much of the EQD Ghost Echo. Until today. listening to the way you use it just proves how wrong preconceptions can be. I had honestly written it off as just another pedal among many, but happy to be proven wrong. Now i really want one. Dangit 😂 The GE Part Garden sounds magical in the context of this video, been wanting to get into som Mask audio gear for some time now. I check out your videos from time to time, and i do love the mood and the visuals you present, keep it up man. Btw, have you gotten to try out the 50 watt solid state Hiwatt amp?
@@tusleplopp1 Hi thank you so much, that is so nice to hear! :) Part Garden Ge is amazing but can have some really nasty highs. Works best with darker sounding amps in my experience. But then it's just magical. Im glad my little pedal shenanigans can bring some joy, thank you for letting me know, appreciate it! I have not played any solid state Hiwatt amp but I'm always down to test new gear!
@@PedalsandTea i did have an inkling that the GE PG could be a lil trebly with a single coil style bridge pickup. Pedal shenanigans are great! I love pedals, but try to keep it to being no more than i can have on my board at any given time.
This is a fantastic showcase of the Ghost Echo that makes me want to take mine out of the "pedals I'm not using right now" drawer. One thing that mentally holds me back from using this all the time is that "spring-y" sounds are reserved for decidedly less heavy styles of music; for metal, I tend to lean towards plate. Maybe I'll have to reconsider. Between this and the Mr. Black Supermoon/Bloodmoon, you've got your totally usable (but still spooky) reverbs covered!
@@mofongotron thank you so much! I guess it really depends what kind of aesthetic you're going for. The heavier I go, the less verb after the distortion I usually use. I mostly start putting modulated stuff/or reverb in front for washy sounds. Or just pair Ghost Echo with a Delay. But really, it's all about what works for you :)

I just picked up the Afterneath from EQD for some of my really cavernous sounds.. now have this haunting beauty on my radar. Great video as always!
@@RedMartianBlues thank you! I have Not played the Afterneath yet but from what I've heard, you've made a good choice:)
Love it! In a world of complex spaceship reverbs (which are also awesome) I love the simplicity of the ghost
haha yeah, and it is suprisingly versatile for having such a distinctive character :)
This pedal is EXCELLENT
Beautiful sound. Nice demo 👍
