Nothing feels better than a straight razor shave. Where i live we only had one barber that cleaned you up with a straight razor he has passed. No other barbers left around to carry on the tradition, the rest all use electric razors that leave stubble around your hair line above your ears and around to the back of the neck. It would be a privilege to have someone like this man shiw up in town he would take their business easily.
I was thinking the same and when he stops the straight edge it seems like he uses alot of pressure.. ** I have alot to learn and he definetly is a master barber..
I thought at first the same, but I think it was more the dullness of the blade, needed to be stropped and honed longer…. A disposable straight edge razor doesn’t make that loud of a scratching noise
It was impressive to watch a skilled barber using a proper razor rather than a shavette and the customer looking like they’ve been rubbed down with a cheese grater 😂
Just did my first attempt with a straight razor on myself and abandoned not quite halfway through due to the amount of blood. LOL! I thought it was lack of knowledge and practice; however, it is apparent the primary culprit is I dont have a badger brush!
Just go to nearest barber, mate. It's not expensive and it's much safer than doing it by yourself. Especially if you always bleed yourself when shaving.
Oh, that sound? It's all thanks to the hollow grind. The blade's thinnest part, known as the 'soul,' is only 0.1-0.2 mm thick. Dull? Far from it! It's like a symphony for your beard, cutting smoothly and masterfully.
In most states a real razor is illegal because they can't be properly disinfected. Shavettes allow each client to get a fresh new blade without risk of rust etc.
this channel hides honest and truthful comments. I wrote an honest comment in the correct form, under the name "Andreas Münzer", but they deleted it. No one can see it except me, except the one who wrote it. this is very hypocritical.
He literally broke one of the most basic Barbering rules in the first two seconds of this video by going over the man's head instead of around it. Not to mention the fact you didn't even wash your hands before putting shaving cream on this man's face
Por dios eso no está afilado tenia que deslizarse por la cara .Cómprese una Filarmónica unas piedras finas y buen aceite y sabrá lo que es una navaja de verdad .
Nah I think it was the razor, it didn’t seem sharp enough, needed a lot more stropping or the use of a disposable straight blade…. The barber actually did a great job with the “dull” razor
Art of the shave is over $50 with an appointment. You have to have this done at least once in your life. I played 1950's big band music while I had the shave, I'm 20 years old. 😂
This is awesome. I like how the guy randomly keeps trying not to laugh 😂 Also, gonna need like 184738 more videos like this pls thanks
The dude was funny lol and in the end he's just smiling 😂
Working on it 😀
As a ticklish person I would be twitching and laughing the whole time. I can't 😂
this is one fabulous shave...love the sound of the lather being applied, stropping of the razor, and the shave itself...heaven
I got a straight razor shave in a barbershop once and it was the best shave I ever had so I've bought a straight razor and can't wait to try it.
love how he does his job with pride
20$ shave or more.

Without saying a word or adding music or anything you taught me 5 things I am doing wrong when wet shaving.
Thank you for the awesome content
what did you learn?
The audio quality is immaculate. Please make more or share your recording setup secrets, this was sublime.
audible sound and shave feedback is brilliant, regards dapper shaves
wonderful to watch, regards dapper shaves
I hope you were joking
More of these shave videos! Singing sound of the razor is allways fantastic.
beautiful sounds ❤ regards dapper shaves
why we love shave videos, regards dapper shaves
Working on more videos 😀
So much work for something that’s gonna grow back in a few days. Very satisfying though, I love this.
The faster it grows back, the earlier the next barber visit is needed, the earlier you feel pure bliss
That man has the best beard I have ever seen in my entire life
I am very surprised by the angle used; it seems to be doing more scrape/scratching the skin than cutting the hair.
I was thinking the same. Looks to be close to 45-60 degrees vs 30...... but I'm still new at this. Only about a year in.
I was thinking the same and when he stops the straight edge it seems like he uses alot of pressure..

I got a few dovo razors Bergischer Lowe, 2 Bismarcks, the superior shave Sunday shaver . Best shaves ever !
love my bergischer lowe, fantastic razor. regards dapper shaves
Thank you !
@@dappershaves you make your channel subscribers want those razors and get in to straight razor shaves ! Awesome videos
Super cool James, make more videos with other shaves!
well siad, regards dapper shaves
Face shaving video not to be missed, very good 💯
I got a shave like this once in my life. Wanted to try it. The barber was a jerk. But the shave was probably one of the best I ever had.
This was oddly satisfying to watch.🤣
One of the best sensations ever is a shave near the ear or cheek
Great shave!
Very nice shave
Damn, nice sound. The mic is picking up everything well.
It was impressive to watch a skilled barber using a proper razor rather than a shavette and the customer looking like they’ve been rubbed down with a cheese grater 😂
This was satisfying to watch but it was funny😂😂
I’m sure someone has fallen asleep while this man was shaving their face
Just did my first attempt with a straight razor on myself and abandoned not quite halfway through due to the amount of blood. LOL! I thought it was lack of knowledge and practice; however, it is apparent the primary culprit is I dont have a badger brush!
shaving soap will help a lot
Just go to nearest barber, mate.
It's not expensive and it's much safer than doing it by yourself.
Especially if you always bleed yourself when shaving.
When he has finished the shave and then wrapped a towel on the chaps face was the towel cold or warm?
As much as it probably makes more sense for cold, it’s probably another steamed for comfort
like the scratch noise
can you send a link for the brush bowl please
Is that cast iron bowl? I wish nc would let us use a brush!
If I was a billionaire I'd pay this man every day for a shave like this
Soon every profession will have its own asmr
We'll launch a "Solitary confinement sounds" ASMR channel soon. Subscribe to don't miss out
Is this AMATEUR HOUR OR WHAT???!!😂😂😂
This is how dudes die at the barbershop. Bro taking forever for a simple shave 😂. No wonders so many Mob bosses got whacked at barbershops.
Epic beard.
When using this kind of razor, does the facial hair grow back slower?
No, it just takes a little longer to show because it gets closer
I get a feeling if my neck were shaved like this, I’d have razor irritation
Why do you put 2 shaving creams on? Do I need to put shaving cream on first, then shaving soap right after?
No. Make enough lather for two passes. Second pass doesn’t require as much lather
Great! Well done! Just on pass?
Ahh so nice
Goku quality shave 👍
hmmmmm DO you feel the hairs getting cut? ngl the blade sounds almost a bit dull... how smooth is it
Oh, that sound? It's all thanks to the hollow grind. The blade's thinnest part, known as the 'soul,' is only 0.1-0.2 mm thick. Dull? Far from it! It's like a symphony for your beard, cutting smoothly and masterfully.
Had all the look but my guy from the domincan republic is on a whole different level
Whenever I get a shave they always miss hairs biggest problem fr
Thank you for showing us a real straight razor shave rather than a shavette!
In most states a real razor is illegal because they can't be properly disinfected. Shavettes allow each client to get a fresh new blade without risk of rust etc.
Cleaning the hairs and the foam on the towel?! OMG
Am I the only one thought that was Luka inna chair when it came on 😂
You missed out a portion of the second pass for some reason. Would have liked to have seen the whole shave.
shave and a hiarcut, two bits!
He is an good barber! Basta!
That iwatch is such an eyesore 😅
The first thing you used , was it a face wash ?
That was a pre-shave cream.
Impressive
Don’t see the strop very much nowadays. That alone was worth watching the video.
that sounds like wood scrapper
Toe that blade sounded very blunt

Is that luka
What happens if the credit card declines?
I would suggest going back to the barber book to learn the proper 14 strokes.
He literally broke one of the most basic Barbering rules in the first two seconds of this video by going over the man's head instead of around it. Not to mention the fact you didn't even wash your hands before putting shaving cream on this man's face
One pass on a beard that tough-sounding doesn’t seem like enough…
👍👍👍
If I were a man, I would never pay for it (lol!) and way less allow someone to put a blade on my neck, but I love watching it.
If my beard was that thick and nasty, I’d probably just let it grow out and trim it only.
Straight razor : Men's shave
Multi blade razor : Lgbt's shave ...
😂
I mean, wish i had more hair to get a straight razor, but heck, i unfortunately have no use for one. A multiblade razor will do.
Great video but that sink needs a clean!
Уже пол фильма прошло он начал брить ,сам не бритый ходит с бородой😂
2:49 no
Why he look like mr Bean
Back in my day it was 3¢ for a shave
He brutalised that poor brush.
It sounds like the razor was not sharp enough.. other than that, great!.
why skiped....the lip area......., thats the crucial part i wanted to see
Show the chin part and the mustache!
great shave. however, looking at the kind of skin irritation on the guys neck, no wonder the barber prefers to rather have a beard )
I wish I could shave with a straight razor.
It’s easier than what you think, i just learned how to use it alone, you can know by youtube videos
@@faisalmujahed
Where you scared about cutting yourself?
its not too hard just take your time shaving if you new to it until you get faster

Thanks.
Use your talents for the LORD Jesus. He doesnt just love you, he likes you aswell.

Too much microphone noise
Your razor looks blunt, use feather removable blades better
Such shame it being only 8 minutes
Had to give a thumbs down you skiped the best parts of shave the chin and neck below chin
Funny how the person that needs a shave the most is the barber. Almost every video they have a beard instead of practicing what they preach.
Love the video, but that sink grossed me out 🤢
A minute in and I couldn't take everything rubbing against the mic....... I'm out
That razor is not cutting properly…!
Sounds like the razor is not sharp enough!
Are really not relaxing, goes way too fast
Amateur at best
Nah I think it was the razor, it didn’t seem sharp enough, needed a lot more stropping or the use of a disposable straight blade…. The barber actually did a great job with the “dull” razor
Thats one Nasty ass sink! Plz clean it its not sanitary.
?
Wasted a lot of good soap 😢
It shouldn't cost more than $2 to get your beard shaven. But it likely cost $30 🤣🤣🤣
Art of the shave is over $50 with an appointment. You have to have this done at least once in your life. I played 1950's big band music while I had the shave, I'm 20 years old. 😂
You're paying for the experience, not the shave.
