Because that's foolish because the decreases in value almost by half after the 14-day it's like buying a new car when you drive it off the light at loses like 2K in value because when you buy a new device what's really different maybe it's a little bit more snappier than the last one when I compare the screen resolution to my 7 year old device and the new one it's about the same
@@EconomyisFine-oe1se Depends on your daily use. I couldn't use a Pixel 5 nowadays when I'm working 10 hour shifts on cellular. I use Bluetooth during the entire time plus calls, texts, and browsing. If I worked in an office, at home, or anywhere near a charger then I wouldn't upgrade as often. I generally buy budget models. I have a 12R. I had a 6a before that and a sub 300 OnePlus before that. I used a 7a for a bit, but wasn't an upgrade over the 6a so returned it. My 6a still works fine, but usually only lasts from 7 am to 2 pm with my usage. The cheaper OnePlus lasted all day and charged in 45 min vs 1.5 hours on the 6a. 12R obviously beats all the phones I've used. I buy cheap personally.
@@chrislincoln4330 I'm still using my S9 Plus pray that does not work very well any longer it's very glitchy now
@@EconomyisFine-oe1se I use my phones for as long as I can. Some people just want a new phone to show off but me, as long as it works, I stay with it.
@@redstickham6394 Maya's Lamp Plus works it's just very glitchy it keeps freezing up on comments section stuff like a lot of the apps that I compatible anymore. Other than that it works fine the battery health is depleting big time. No I'm not the type that shows off I don't care for those people that like to impress other people
Does anyone really use reverse wireless charging?
I have a few times with my Samsung. My daughters iPhone was about to die a few times while out and that was the only way we were able to charge it.
Samsung needs to invest in camera hardware big time, using the same GN3 sensor for 3 generations (s22, s23, s24) is unforgivable
Over about 8 months the s25 will arrive with a new design and new sony camera sensors
@@davelaymon6282 hope so, and it doesn't have to be Sony IMX or LYT sensors, Samsung can innovate and create new and equally good sensors that rivals the imx989s and lyt900s, or imx707/imx888 at least
Samsung also needs to invest in fast charging. After having the 12 I'm never going to buy a slow charging phone ever again
@@AdamSmith-gs2dv can't believe I left that out, my Xiaomi 13 is 67w and even that is beginning to feel a bit slow given they have 120w charging phones
@@AdamSmith-gs2dv Yes, it's a life-changing feature.
Here in Norway the OnePlus 12 are more expensive; best price I have seen is $900, compared to about $500 for the S24.
I love OnePlus but I have to say I have the OnePlus 9 pro and when I went to turn it in to buy the OnePlus 12 even though there was no scratches on it the screen turned on nothing was broken they sent it back to me and took away my trade-in credit because it had screen burn in. this is not my fault. This is normal for a 3 year old smartphone especially in the area where the battery charger number is the clock is and all the notifications are because they're there all the time. And one plus send the screen was broken because there was burn in. I prefer one plus his phones but that was BS.
That OnePlus is pretty good! If only one were Genshin Impact-themed...
I wish they did the genshin edition for the 12 instead of the 12r
I really think a better comparison would be the OnePlus 12 vs Pixel 8 pro. Although the 12 would be the better initial value choice, the S24 will be a better choice for 7yrs support and resale.
You have to remember the OnePlus 12 is bootloader unlockable while Samsung phones aren't. Also all Android phones have bad resale value
I would get the OnePlus 12 I don't think the Bands are compatible I don't know if they have all the same bands on the 5G does the OnePlus lack bands the Samsung does not I don't know does the OnePlus on millimeter wave I don't know
It lacks mmwave. Not a big issue because mmwave is so scarce anyway
I also like OnePlus, but the import ends up being the price of the S23 Ultra...
And? The S23 Ultra is a year old and has worse specs everywhere
@@AdamSmith-gs2dv and has a better software experience, and was easily getting me 10 hrs of screen on time.
I have the s24 base and the one plus 12 R I got to say I like the one plus better. I mean the panel on the s24 panel fantastic but when whatching hdr man one plus shines. Samsung more cinematic accuracy is great. But I paid twice as much for the s24.
Have you actually used Samsung to its full capacity? Have you tried Dex, emulators, flash programs and web surfing, modes & routines, customizing your notification panel and turning it transparent, changing the text style & format of the entire phone, reverse wireless charging your headphones while out & about, 3D wallpaper, Dynamic AOD screens with rotating wallpaper packs, using Goodlock to customize 12 gesture swipes to perform any function, using the most secure fingerprint reader on the market for banking & virtual cards, secure folder, being able to change the color tones and vivdness, etc? If you bought your Samsung for just watching videos , then you got it for the wrong reason. I actually have a transparent pop-up panel to activate 3 different styles of color correction any time I'm watching movies and videos.
😮 OnePlus needs to bring back their phones to U. S carriers period I probably would get one if they did. I can't afford to cash price. I have an old T-Mobile 1 + 9. And I love it. I love the gloss class backing better than the math finish
Wonder if the OnePlus 12 has a better camera than my S23+ which sucks
I just did a comparison of both pics side by side. And wow, was I surprised!! The color science and the lack of lens flare (for night shots) really put the 12 way ahead. Even better than my P8P.
It does. It has an updated sensor
OnePlus wouldn't accept my trade-in even though the screen goes on nothing is broken on it. My OnePlus 9 pro is beautiful but it does have some screen burning you can see where the battery charging level was you can see where the time was and it is burned in the screen but it wasn't a new phone but even though it turned in it wasn't broken everything was functional because the screen had burning and that is a design flaw of AMOLED screens they didn't accept my phone and pay me the $280 in fact, they billed me for it
Hardly anyone is going to using the same phone they’re using now in 7 years time. That’s why Google and Samsung offer this long, it’s virtually meaningless. There might not even be phones as we know them in 7 years time.
I don't see that dumb AI pen or the Rabbit taking off. Same goes for the overly gimmicky Vision Pro
Am looking at fhd s24 but also looking at the Google 8a what 1 is better
The S24 is better
Aqua Touch over IP68 any day. Honestly, 5 years vs 7 years, who cares? You would have already changed your phone within 5 years. Battery life and fast charging for OP. The reasons you would go for Samsung is compact phone and AI stuff. OP has better cameras as long as you know what you do. If you're talking about point and shooting, it might be a toe. I agree that OP needs to launch update more often
OnePlus allows you to unlock the bootloader so I'll cut them slack on updates. Also the OnePlus 12 probably is IP68, Jerryrigeverythings tear down shows it has everything needed for that rating it probably doesn't have it because they didn't want to pay more money to get it certified (not paying for certifications is one way OnePlus cuts costs)
I'm sorry for Interrupting sentences , he is 82 years old, he is very nervous, he is old and old, it's all normal to buy a mobile phone for touching and talking on the web for 00 thousand things. They advise me because the father of a mobile phone shop a while ago used to buy a cheap New York phone. Is there something wrong with this age?
I've always found the camera quality on OnePlus phones to be a little subpar compared to Samsung and Apple.
Oneplus 12 👍🏾
Oh My Google 8 Pro just got its April update 🤯
I'm over curved displays
I love both phone but I just can't switch from Samsung they are the boss for me👍👍
I got the s24+ but may pick up either the OnePlus 12 or iPhone 15 PM
If you are looking at OnePlus you shouldn't be looking at iPhone. OnePlus is literally the polar opposite of Apple (allow you to ticker with their devices and don't force you into an ecosystem)
@@AdamSmith-gs2dv I'm aware of the ecosystem pull but I'm one of those that gets bored quick so I go back and forth from Android to IOS, but haven't made my mind up yet
@@levil4012 Im the exact same way. Im constantly switching back and forth.
Curved screen on oneplus is no go for me
Samsung has been overrated for a long time. Oneplus is the better deal and better battery
The Moto G has the same RAM and storage of the S24 at 250 lol
Nice video
Samsung makes a good phone but it's way too expensive. It's not worth the price that they're charging for it. Especially with all they're not offering In the box.
It comes with a case here in India 😌
S24 the battery life is awesome
The os is not as good as 0u
Adam, i really have to praise you for doing this comparison. Folks just dont know what they are missing in the OP12. And i have the s24+ and P8P too. Thanks so much!!
OnePlus is better
Sure it may not have some features of OneUI but OxygenOS will satisfy most people
I agree IP68 vs IP65 isn’t a big deal
The S24 may have 7 years of updates but after 5 years most people should be upgrading anyway. That’s a long life for a phone
I’d still get the trusted Samsung.
Jiat traded my 15 plus for rhe oneplus 12.
Why not compare it to the 24 plus instead of
Probably tired of me in the commetns yet anothe video I'm watch on my OP7TPro McLaren right next to my 23u. I believe mentally its the weight of the op in my hands just perfect
It's been a long time since I seen that phone name

I'll take an unlocked bootloader over Samsungs support
In the end, one is a Samsung...and the other isn't...
