Yes, and the excuse that it was to defray the cost of provisioning servers for the AI features feels empty. All of the phones have AI, so why did only S24U buyers get stuck with the bill? The marketing was misleading as well, as only a few of the AI features are processed on the hardware.
Yeah, glad I traded in my 23 ultra for it. Much more easy to handle. Don’t miss the SPen, extra cameras or sharp corners and weight off it. Way more manageable, especially in pockets.
Got the S24+ and it is the best phone I have had thus far. I am coming from a Pixel 7 Pro and Oneplus 11. This S24+ phone has the speed, battery life, fluid and error free user experience.
That's what I went for. It's a secondary phone but I think it's pretty sweet. It's been awhile since I last had a Samsung so this will be a good one for me to relearn it again.
I agree with you on the S24+ antenna....I bought the S24+ in January and it's the best phone I have ever owned (have had the Samsung S4, the Note 5, the S8, the S10+, the S21+ and this one) and the antenna is phenominal! The best I have seen!
Have to say, you are absolutely right about the iPhone antenna. I have a 15 pro max and driving to work, I lose complete signal in the same 3 areas. I thought it was just a T-Mobile issue. I just bought a OnePlus 12 and noticed I have not lost signal in those areas with the OnePlus.
Watch android authority's video. Techmo also did a video on exynos s24 vs snapdragon s24 but his exynos s24 was defective. How do we know that? His exynos s24 lasted less than s23 while everyone else's exynos s24(GSMarena's for example) lasted more than s23. Techmo's unit also scored a lot lower than usual at benchmarks. Also his unit got upto 52 degrees celsius while no one else managed to get it beyond 47 degrees
Traded my s10 + for s24+ and I like it. Having a few hiccups but all in all it's a good size , not to heavy and I like the flat screen. Thank you for sharing all your information I really appreciate it. It helped in making my decision. Got it on release date so I was able to get the violet and free upgrade. Just paid for charger and case since I traded old phone 👍
Yes I got my iPhone 15 pro for free with bill credits and people were crapping on me because they said oh you're locked into tmobile for 2 years and I was like well I wasn't going anywhere anyways so why not get a free phone out of the deal??
Had the S22+ from Amazon Renewed. Wasn't planning on upgrading but with all the improvements to the S24+ along with the pre-order deal ($1120 phone for $449 after the trade in) it was too good to pass up. The S22+ still had 95% battery health but the difference in battery life on the S24+ is unbelievable. Thermals are much better as well. Qualcomm really did a good job optimizing the Snapdragon Gen 3 over the Gen 1. There are so many more reasons to upgrade, even from the S23+. Besides the optimized chipset, there's the QHD+ screen, the AI, and the 7 years of OS and security updates. And last I checked they are still offering some sweet deals on the S24 lineup past the pre-order period. As for the S23+, from what I've been hearing, on this channel and others, the Snapdragon Gen 2 was significantly more optimized than the Gen 1 too so maybe going from the Gen 2 to the Gen 3 alone probably wouldn't be worth the upgrade. But the other reasons already mentioned might be.
I got S23 Ultra last year, and then I regretted not getting the plus model, mostly because of the weight, it took me a while to get used to the Ultra weight especially with 60 grams case (later switched to a 30 gram lighter case). With S24+, Samsung did a good job for US customers, but outside US, they are using Exynos which is not as good as SD (performance, heat, and battery)
It's really the best phone in the lineup based on value. Most people don't need the Ultra, S Pen goes unused and zoom not used, etc. But people mainly buy it for status or, maybe someday I'll use the S Pen or zoom. Never do.
@@HenHavenEggs most people dont, I am glad that you can magsafe on Samsung tho. That's very usable. Reverse wireless charge is a sweet feature, but how often do we really use that?!?! I'd rather have an IR blaster
Yes, big facts! This is why I did the $800 versus $1000 for my Galaxy S5. Saved tons of money over the 36 months. And yes, nothing is absolutely free 😂
Also with my own personal use, I've found the iPhone 15 Pro to generally have better signal strength than my Pixel 8 Pro, both on the same network(Verizon), so I don't know what's up with your iPhone 😅
Just made the leap from the S22 Ultra to the S24 Ultra. Super happy and can't wait for it to arrive in a few days! Great content. Appreciate an honest and detailed review.
Finally upgraded from a S10+ from when it launched to a s24+. It was finally worth upgrading as previous year models were downgrades. Very happy with the new phone
Just got mine yesterday and living it so far, super smooth, g galaxy bus pro 2 sounds amazing, screen is beautiful.. no need to spend an extra 300+for the ultra..I previously had the base s24 model but returned it buzz I felt it was too small for me but still a great compact powerhouse of a phone
I wanted to love pixel 8 pro. Sent it back. Waited for the 24 ultra. Than I saw the 24 plus and the specs. WOW. Love it. No looking back I upgraded from the iPhone 13 pro Max. Not disappointed at all
@@ВікторПатієвич-ш4ж I’m very happy with the 24+. I realize the iPhone does a few things it can’t. But that’s just an android thing. As a daily phone it does everything I need it to and more. Dex continues to improve. There’s a lot there to like

I have had this phone a month now. My first Samsung (but all my phones have been Androids), and it's amazing. Part of the reason I liked it so much was because it looked similar to an iPhone, but I have no interest in an iPhone lol; but I really liked the look and fill of one. This phone also cost me $850 on Amazon, so it's a decent deal as well.
@jralphroman Depends on how you use your phone? My wife has the s23u with 12g ram and usually has 20 some apps open. I have the s23fe with 8g ram and I might have 3 apps open at most but mostly only 2. My phone works perfectly and fast for me anyways.
Great video and i completely agree! Samsung should make the S and S+ and then two Ultras.....a smaller one and a larger one.... Just like Apple's pro and pro max. I want a pocketable Samsung with an S-pen!
Truthfully, I chose the OnePlus 12 over this but, I really love what Samsung did with the plus this year. They finally gave it the upgrades that it needed to warrant the $1,000 price tag. In fact, quad hd. 12 gigabytes of ram, a larger battery and nicer build quality is everything. In past years this model just didn't warrant the price tag.
I currently use an s23 Ultra, and have an s21+ as backup. T-Mobile is giving me $500 in trade for the s21+, so I've ordered an s24+, which will probably become my main phone. Down the road I'll trade in the s23 Ultra for something else.
My wife has S23+. It is still a great phone. I’d never use the sharpest possible resolution anyway. Refresh rate is more important and 120hz is a perfect compromise. Of course S24+ is better, but S23+ is still a great purchase.

S24+ is the right thing for my needs. The pre-order of 512 GB for the price of 256 GB, decent trade-in value for prior Samsung models and $150 credit for accessories was a solid deal. Other than paying for a phone over a contract term instead of outright for unlocked, it really comes down to data usage. I rarely exceed 5 GB of data in a month so having to purchase a triple or higher monthly cost carrier plan that is eligible for a "free" 24+ mobile was not worth it. I get 10 GB of data per month for $15 total and purchased an unlocked SD3 24+

Just got mine this past week. I love it, but why is there no led notification? I upgraded from the s9+. Why is there led notifications when the phone is off on the 9+ and no notification when the 24 + is off? This is ridiculous 😒
😂 Samsung coped it every day! Everyone knows it takes about 3 times for companies to get it right. 3 years I waited for the fold and it's nice but heavy it needed for the hinge. So nothing at all will be perfect. all good. Just means no I iPad both in one is cool. Thanks, Samsung. And have an awesome few days away.🍸
In my opinion this phone is competing for the phone of the year. The display is 6.7", but the body is smaller and lighter than the Pixel 8 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the One Plus 12. There is nothing like the S24+ right now, not too big, not too small with great display, battery, and cameras.
You like it because you get s24 plus with snapdragon gen 3 .. those who get with rubbish Exynos chip will say useless performance… including my self 😂😂
Okay somebody please help me here I'm trying to get a new phone for block Friday because these phones are so expensive so I'm waiting on the sale but these UA-cam videos have me confused and now this video telling me to choose the s24+ ?
I have a screen protector on mine and the fingerprint reader still works fine. I'm using a matte protector though (anti glare, I love it) so it's film and not tempered glass. I've had plenty of issues with tempered glass and Samsung fingerprint reader in the past.
@@Princeton_James it definitely is much better. I have the 12r and I used the 11 and they are much faster and more responsive. Their face unlock is much quicker too although the s24 series is way faster than the s24 series

1,000$ is the most I'll pay for a phone, it's not so easy to upgrade when there's so much coming in 2024. Inthusiast with human pockets lol.
The anti-reflective display on the s24 ultra is amazing. Also the GG Armour means no screen protector required
If you feel comfortable not using a screen protector, that’s you. I still don’t recommend using the phone without one.
Is that a blue silicone case or is it violet? I don't see a blue case on Samsung website is the reason I ask, thanks.
I would too, but not with Exynos inside...
Great content. After all that's said and done, I still love my my s23 ultra. I will trade in my s23 ultra for the s25 ultra. If I'm impressed
I might get this for my wife but if I like it more than my Pixel 8 Pro I might keep it and give her Pixel 8 Pro 😂
They shouldn't have inflated the ultra price...They got greedy this yr..Even adding exynos to.tempt everyone to buy the ultra....what a shame so I got s23+
Just got mine this past week. I love it, but why is there no led notification? I upgraded from the s9+. Why is there led notifications when the phone is off on the 9+ and no notification when the 24 + is off? This is ridiculous 😒
@culticfrog 😆 yeah I been out the phone game for a while.
Realmente me encanta la Serie S porque tuve el s9 normal y me salio buenísimo
I'm glad I traded my S23+ for the 24+
Did u get exynos or sd
Im thinking about it too. How is the battery on mobile data?
@@BoomChing sd
@@syedtayyab5142 battery life on mobile is great.
Debating between
$660 s23+ or $780 s24+
Both snapdragon. Both brand new. Both 256gb
What do you think?
In my region its the exynos 2400 do you still think i should get it and not the ultra?
In my opinion this phone is competing for the phone of the year. The display is 6.7", but the body is smaller and lighter than the Pixel 8 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the One Plus 12. There is nothing like the S24+ right now, not too big, not too small with great display, battery, and cameras.
You like it because you get s24 plus with snapdragon gen 3 .. those who get with rubbish Exynos chip will say useless performance… including my self 😂😂
If Samsung don't change the the S25 Ultra for the Next year...S25 plus is the way for me
Except that outside of North America they're ruined it by using an Exynos processor again instead of last year's Snapdragon across the board...🤨
Yeah, anything that cost 1K should have over 8gb RAM lol. IDK what Samsung was thinking last year
Ummm, the iPhone 15 series uses the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X70 5G modem bud.
And... It's trash in the iPhone
Okay somebody please help me here I'm trying to get a new phone for block Friday because these phones are so expensive so I'm waiting on the sale but these UA-cam videos have me confused and now this video telling me to choose the s24+ ?
Nice video
My s24 plus is giving me problems with finger print, I am using facial recognition at the moment.
Are you using a screen protector?
I have a screen protector on mine and the fingerprint reader still works fine. I'm using a matte protector though (anti glare, I love it) so it's film and not tempered glass. I've had plenty of issues with tempered glass and Samsung fingerprint reader in the past.
Even with Samsungs own screen protector the fingerprint sensor is trash. I have the OnePlus 12 and that one is light-years ahead of the S24 series.
@@Princeton_James it definitely is much better. I have the 12r and I used the 11 and they are much faster and more responsive. Their face unlock is much quicker too although the s24 series is way faster than the s24 series
@@Princeton_James yup, after I removed screen protectors, doesn’t make any improvement.
The s24+ becomes more enticing with the new $250 discount
And us muppets in the UK gets the dreaded exynos version again and the same price as usa version but in pounds it's already been proven to be lagging behind the sd3
I would still prefer to get myself a new iPhone
Can you hide the front cam?
