@@Drakewyrm I tried both the Oneplus 12 and S24U together today , compared the cameras only, I think the S24U is atleast 50% better in terms of selfie camera, and 2x better in terms of zoom , and also the normal camera, only thing where the Onplus 12 takes a lead is Ultrawide Cam just due to the better resolution. i Don't think Oneplus 12 is worth unless and untill it is atleast 50% cheaper

you can be surprised but s24ultra have now big troubles around all tech media and on all smartphone related forums, thousands buyers wants to send back phones coz samsung kill famous color saturation in new flagship , nobody wants to keep this phone anymore coz colors are washed up from vivid saturation, now they looks like real English autumn, natural and nobody wants it. Now they are in big trouble, I read thousands posts from people that will give up on this phone coz everything looks to real, they wants some colors in life again, they want to se something more colorful then world they have around them. @@MusicMan-c9o unfortunately for you, it turns out that the S24 Ultra is THE most successful S-series phone of all time if we see sales and pre-bookings across the world. I do think that the OnePlus 12 makes it look overpriced as hell, true. But people will pay more for Samsung.... not so much for the OnePlus. Answer me this, how many people actually bought the OnePlus Open, despite it being rated as 'the best' foldable (a statement I agree with btw) of all time? Brand value does matter too unfortunately.
As for me, had the OP included an IP68 (Which all flagships should have, period), it would have become automatically my choice over the Ultra.
But the Ultra will give you 7 gens of Android updates, on system AI, top of the line camera which will only become better with updates, top of the line display (personally do love how Curved displays look but they are definitely not practical, very hard to put a screen protector on, much easier to break than flat, ghost touches, etc), top of the line speakers and also the S-Pen which makes the experience so much better. I do hope OnePlus can keep challenging Samsung though, those prices need to come down lol.

I recently picked up the Oneplus 12 and I am extremely impressed with it. I got the 512gb version and it was significantly cheaper then the S24U, while matching nearly every aspect of it and doing some things better even. I don't have any need for an S-pen and the AI stuff is not really something I would use as of yet. Even the S24+ was $200 more expensive and inferior in many ways, so $500 less for a phone that pretty much matches the S24U is a no brainer.

Obviously, this is a comparison that many UA-cam reviewers are making. Still, the OnePlus 12 is really set up to rival Samsung somewhere between the plus and the ultra models. In other words, it has higher specs than the s24 plus but, it's not quite as Stout as the ultra. Of course, the main selling point of the ultra is the stylus pen. If you don't need the s pen then why bother spending the extra money? Especially, since Samsung has given the plus models some much needed upgrades this year. Personally, I would purchase the plus over the ultra.
That being said, I decided to pre-order the OnePlus 12. I've been using its predecessor the 11 since last year and I love it. In fact, it's one of the smoothest devices that I've ever owned. I'm really looking forward to the refinements of the 12. As a legally blind low vision user, the added screen brightness is a big selling point to me.
I also wanted to point out that OnePlus only remove the alert slider on one oddball T variant a couple of years ago. Once more, they only did it to make room internally for the advanced charging technology. It was never going to be the new standard on any other device. In fact, the OnePlus 10 pro feature the alert slider. In addition, the OnePlus 11 also had it. Simply put, the controversy over the missing alert slider was really much to do about nothing.

And also if you watching video in 4k hdr you can see that screen can produce same colors and brightness like s23ultra. I have both and I did many tests. All is just software related. Some aps have own brightness forced settings over those in phone. For sure it will be repaired by Samsung or XDA team in future. I got 9 hours screen on time and 21 total hours of battery out of my s24+. I even had 18% battery left.

I've ordered my One Plus 12 via Trading Shenzhen site ,in white colour and much cheaper than the European price. I paid 747 Euro for 516 gb model.

is the white color same looking as the black global version? Like is it matte like the black, or is it glossy like the OP11 was?

Love the natural colours for pictures. Excellent price. Sadly s24 ultra is a bit disappointment I have to say. Not that much difference over the s23 ultra
