@@JackReacts904 DUDE that's how I felt, the Back To Black album (her 2nd & last in her lifetime....ain't that crazy) came out my Jr. year of Highschool and her influence was so heavy off this era
React to “Love Is A Losing Game.” That’s my favorite Amy Winehouse song. Also, “Tears Dry On Their Own.” Amy was a brilliant songwriter and artist. She wrote the majority of her songs. :)
This song is definitely written from personal experience for her. Fun fact, the producer of this song Mark Ronson also produced "Uptown Funk" with Bruno Mars. "You Know I'm no Good" is another great song from her.
ME & MR JONES - her song about Nas!! Also Tears Dry On Their Own, Stronger Than Me, Love is a Losing Game, You Know I’m No Good and YOU SENT ME FLYING!
I’M SO HAPPY YOU DID THIS ONE!!!!!!!😄😄❤️ I literally screamed when I saw the notification lol😂 Do more Amy’s songs if you want ofc!!! I recommend you "Rehab" this track is so GOOD.
Amy was such a Talent. It still pains me that she passed away at such a young age. She truly didn’t get to her max potential. She’s definitely one of my favorite artists.
Wow!!! Your doing Amy!!! So excited for you to venture into her discography. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 she wrote her own songs. And such a tragic life. Do more of her. You will not be disappointed. Promise.
my goodness my goodness I am so excited that you reacted to this song! I love love love Amy Winehouse and this is probably my favorite of all of her songs. I'm sitting here in this long line of the drive-thru at Starbucks and I'm having the greatest time ever because I get to watch you react to this incredible song. Amy has always been one of my go to artists. Her and Adele be havin me in my feelings but in the best possible way and I love it so much! Please do "Rehab" next.
Amy Winehouse is such a British icon🙌🏽🙌🏽 could I suggest you listen to worry about me by ellie goulding, she's also another amazing and unique British artist.
My favourite song of Amy is "love is a losing game". The soul in that song is just so incredible. Nothing but pure emotion in that song. So deep and meaningful. Back to black is a wonderful song too. Probably my 2nd fav.
Alfonzo Brown I don’t like “Rehab” anymore. I can’t even listen to it. Because she died of an overdose, that song isn’t fun anymore. When I hear it, I feel like I’m making a joke of her death. That’s just my opinion, though. :)
She was a once in a lifetime artist too. I remember when she passed. I was so sad. I had tickets to see her father perform at the Blue Note that weekend
Amy Winehouse has an old hollywood voice, and momma can singgggg!!!! My fav moment of hers was when her US Visa got denied, so she couldn't come to the 50th Grammy Awards, and she won the most awards that night!!!! RIP AMY
I used listen to Amy Winehouse everyday on the way to school back when I was in middle school, listening to her really helped when I was going through deep depression then.
Hi - im a new sub and love your reactions. Amy was brilliant and amazing! She was unique and an old soul. Love love love her. I love everything she ever sang but "Valerie" is one of my favorites. Tragic her life ended at only 27 years old. Check out all of her music. 😪❤
R.I.P. sweet Amy 💔 she was burying herbroken heart 😢 The headstone read 'Here Lies The Heart OfAmy Winehouse', but it was removed after her sudden death. This song got me thru so many dark times.....she had that incredibly unique gift of being able to connect with those who were in pain - her lyrics, her music but combine that with her amazing voice and you have a LEGENDARY artist....gone far too soon....this world & fame was too much for her to cope with. She battled bulimia in her teens/20's, alcoholism/drug addiction in her 20's and the scumbag of a husband that destroyed her (‘Back To Black’ is about him).....he was so toxic, but tragically she paid the price for loving him. I still cry when I hear this song - she was so raw and vunerable. Listen to ‘Love is A Losing Game’, ‘You know I'm No Good’, and a couple of covers - ‘To Know Him Is To Love Him’ or Hathaway's 'I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know' - ua-cam.com/video/362JArvhAqg/v-deo.html mesmerising, haunting and such emotive vocals...basically what she did best. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤 Here’s the trailer to ‘Amy’ - a documentary of the highs and lows of her life and how it ended. Heart-breaking is an understatement: ua-cam.com/video/_2yCIwmNuLE/v-deo.html
It definitely was her real life experience. She wrote the song. It's about a funeral for her heart, that you see her burying later in the video. She died (in real life) shortly after this tragedy in her life while she was still mourning her lost love.
amy loved jazz and blues which is why her songs sound 50s/60s, loads of jazz influences but with a modernist twist of course 😊 she sang like a proper old school jazz and blues singer would, damn i miss her 😭
ive been following you for a while and im disappointed in myself that i never made the connection or suggestion for you to react to amy! what an incomparable talent. her frank album defined my early 20's and being a local of Camden where she lived, its still so bittersweet walking around there because as weird as it sounds, you still feel here presence. my friends and i go to the hawley arms alot, where amy would always hang out and drink - and the stories the locals share about amy tell me she had such a pure, innocent soul. i have friends who met her, but i really wish i got to bump into her and tell her how much she truly gave to the world and the incomparable impact she had on so many of us. there will only be one amy. watch the docu-film called amy if you have the chance, its so powerfully poignant.
@@ms.one-town901 Is he? Damn I'm 19 and I always thought he was like 20 at least y now lol. I feel so old. I still view anyone younger than me as basically being a child it's so strange 😂
Karen vs Linda: The ultimate battle yep. He mentioned being just being 18 several times. He looks young to me because I’m much older! I remember being your age and each age seem either too young or old for me. Believe me the gap will soon begin to close after 25!
Lowkey jealous that he just doscovered amy and has so much of her music to uncover. She was literally a genius! Also, love this guy’s reaction; probably the only reaction channel that gives meaningful commentary and doesn’t just scream hahah.
This lady was amazing!!! Very soulful! She has an old school sound. Very tragic in the end but definitely made her place in the history of music. She has so many good songs to react to...
It is so tragic how badly she fell. She was an incredible talent. My favorite clip of her I've found on youtube is titled "Amy Winehouse - Valerie (Acoustic, Live, Best Quality)". Definitely check it out to see how great her voice was untouched and with only a guitar accompanying her. Just a beautiful, soulful, perfect voice.
Originally the video showed the tombstone reading “here lies the heart of Amy Winehouse” it was later removed after her passing. R.I.P Amy Winehouse the greatest singer of her time 🖤🕊
Growing up she was drawn to old school music from the 50s/60s and was heavily influenced by jazz and artists like the Shangri-Las, Her vocal abilities and style were hauntingly beautiful. This song and a few of her other notable songs were auto-biographical and hinted at the turmoil of her life: emotional and physical chaos. 'I'm No Good', 'Valerie', 'Rehab' are all great. There are wonderful acoustic versions she did at the SXSW festival in Austin. (on UA-cam, I believe).
So happy your are doing Amy!!! You Know I'm No Good, Love Is A Losing Game (Live Mercury Prize), and Tears Dry On Their Own are also amazing Amy songs!
I have loved Amy Winehouse for years, since well before she passed. I am kind shocked you reacted to her but I am so glad you did! Her music and sound and style was very unique. Check out her songs Valerie and Rehab and You Know I'm No Good.
Amy was an exceptionally gifted and intelligent person. She knew what she was doing. Her death wasn't a silly mistake, she was troubled and chose her own route out. People who judge her have obviously never had mental health problems.
Suggestions Amy Winehouse - In my bed or Me and Mr Jones Nas - Cherry Wine ft Amy Winehouse (posthumous) In my bed samples Nas' Made You Look/ Me and Mr Jones she has a line where she mentions him as they had the same birthday. He took the vocals and put them in a song called Cherry Wine. :)
It’s crazy to me that you haven’t heard this song before. It’s a streaming classic and has probably gotten plenty of radio play since she died. She’s truly in a league of her own.
Yeah, Amy definitely brought something unique. You can hear the influence she has left in Adele, Lana del Rey, Duffy, Sam Smith, and more. A true GOAT.
Finally Jack. Thaaaank you! ❤️ She wrote two albums Frank (named after Frank Sinatra her idol) and Back To Black. Every song from her, is personal and she has a very dark sense of humour in her lyrics.
Amy Winehouse fit so much into her 27 years. The lyrics she crafted were genius.
