Happy Boxing Day! That Meijer relish is probably made for our weenie Upper Midwestern palate, LOL! This looks bountiful--almost meatily intimidating--so anyone should be pleased with it! TFP, and have a happy New Year's Eve : )
This looks perfect for a chill at home New Year's Eve this year. I'm glad you're still making videos even though you finished the Veganomicon. Praise Seitan!
I like this idea a lot, and I appreciate your honest appraisal! It looks like I am going to have to find some Violife cheese. I can get into a vegan rut so I appreciate the inspiration you share with this community. Happy new year!
@@TheVeganTestKitchen It is wonderful, we would have it every winter, it's great on a ski trip lol. But it's definitely one of those meals where you go into it knowing you're gonna have tosleep it off for the next 20 hours or so, definitely recommend! And it's great with a charcuterie platter :)
Oooo I haven’t seen those field roast mushroom lunch meats here yet. That looks sooo good! I love field roast. 🤤 My fav is the apple sage sausage. The violife and tree line cheeses are so good! I need to make one of these boards. Looks so dang good!
@@TheVeganTestKitchen Where I live Canada, West Coast, I have seen many. Daiya, Chao, Nuts for Cheese, Violife, Myokos, Skotidakis, SpreadEm, Urban Cheesecraft, BlackSheep, EarthBalance, Earth Island, Kitehill, Parmela, Sheese, I could go on. There's plenty, not all good, but some are great. I like Daiya for melting, Violife Parm, and Spread-Em for dipping or crackers. I like making my own too, much cheaper and you can have any flavor you want. I have a cashew cheese and a baked almond cheese recipe that are no fail. Perhaps it's just where we live, but I can get big bags of Shredded Skotidakis at Costco and our Walmart has a great selection of Vegan stuff. The best vegan Walmart find is Drumstick brand vegan ice-cream "drumstick" cones in Caramel, OMG, too good! And now I'm hungry. Great charcuterie board ideas!
@@TheVeganTestKitchen Daiya is available everywhere. I have bought Chao in Wal-mart before, but see complaints in local vegan groups that they just randomly stop stocking it. There are some specialty stores that carry vegan cheese. They are usually pretty crazy expensive, but that could just be the price everywhere since it's a specialty product. I bought Miyoko's cheese book, but it all looked too complicated for me. LOL
Great idea! And I love the way you laid out the board - very pleasing aesthetically. If you haven’t tried the Yves Veggie brand, you might enjoy it. Their pepperoni is not too heavy on the fennel, and they have four or five other options in the “deli slice” category. (I also really like their Canadian “bacon”.) Anyway, it is “yvesveggie.com” (and I don’t own stock in the company, although I wish I did). Keep the great videos coming! (And don’t forget to check out Chloe Coscarelli’s Vegan Italian Kitchen if you want to work your way through another great cookbook. Happy 2021! Stay safe.
Thanks! We used to have Yves around here, but I haven't seen it in a while. Their pepperoni was the only one I would buy and put on my pizza. I preferred it cold/uncooked because it tended to dry out a lot when baked, but I did like the flavor of it! Haven't tried their Canadian bacon so I might have to give it a shot 😀
cool idea!
my mind was exploding over the implications of prep time trying to make from scratch🤣
😂 right?!

I agree--and thanks! Praise Seitan! 🙌
Too bad we can't get together and enjoy this! Great variety and thanks for taking us along for the taste test!
Agreed! Thanks 😀
Gorgeous Eli! I can't wait until I can have a party again to try this!
YES!!

Thanks Suzanne! Yes, definitely search out Violife, if only for the parmesan block. Happy New Year to you too :)
Oooh, this looks sooo yummy! I have to say one of the things I miss the most since going vegan is a traditional French Raclette!
I had to look up what that was! And, I never got to experience that, but it looks delightful. I'm sure there are some vegan versions out there!
Oh it sounds fancy
Oh I looked it up, we can definitely veganize that. I wanna try to

Oh yum! I wish we had all of those cheeses available in Canada!!
What are some brands that y'all have up there? Daiya, Chao?

King Oyster mushrooms! 👀
No lie I’ve actually polished off a few tubs of Treeline by myself 😃
I have the same board
IKEA!

and a good wine to wash it down with .....
Hell yeah!
In my opinion, Miyoko’s brand cheeses are not good &they are ridiculously expensive. Violife is by far the best tasting cheese out there now.
I do love me some Violife!
