That growler bull Corey was chasing has to be the coolest sounding bugle ever. That alone made this episode awesome. I really liked the longer episode too. Thanks guys and thanks sponsors
That bull had one of the best bugles I've ever heard. Thank you, guys, for all the content. It's nice to know that it's a struggle for you all, just like it is for me.
Corey with Team Angry Spike is the definition of persistence. His aggressive hunting style is pretty cool to watch. 🤞🏻 he'll get it done in the next episode
Tex Sutfin here watching from the Caribbean on vacation. my phone broke so watching and commenting on her phone. great content as always. can't wait for the next episode
Perfect timing I just got home from work can't wait to sit down relax and watch my favorite show. Thank you guys and thank you all the sponsors that help me get to enjoy Elk101 y'all rock
The hard work and determination really shows through in all elk101 shows. This is hunting as it really happens, unlike much of the tv hunting shows. Thank you!!!
My wife never been into hunting but she heard that bull screaming and she couldn’t wait to see it! Absolutely insane ! Love this show especially for moments like that, would say that’s the hissing bull for this season. Awesome as always!
My husband gave me grief the other night because instead of him remembering what day of the week it has been the last few weeks it's been me saying it's Tuesday or Thursday let's watch V5 Elk 101! You guys have me hooked on your show and I learn more and more every episode.
Its amazing the constant banter between the hunters and response from the herd bull...it gives me chills, love to hear the chess match going on...can't get enough!!!
I have to say, thanks to you guys, my wife is hooked on your show. She has always gone with me elk hunting, although she doesn't hunt. Now she's watching every episode of V5 with me. She's hooked to the point that she is singing and/or humming your theme song all day! "I'm about to even the score, get ready!"
Looks like Donny is really watching how he moves across the rocky areas due to his past knee issues this year! Corey Ford is persistent on getting into that wicked sounding bull. Good to see you are feeling better in this show. Keep up the great work on the shows!!
This time of year we all need some good hunting videos to watch and Elk101 delivers! I really enjoy the authenticity of your hunts, the ups and the downs. Playing Marco Polo with a bull is so exhilarating! Well done!
I am truly enjoying this series as I have the past. I think what is striking this year is the honesty of what is happening in your hunts happens in mine, long stretches of nothingness! It is great to see the humor, the humility and the creativity of a elk turd necklace! Keep it up, this is a breath of peace in a long, cold winter.
Another great episode! I like Corey getting in on the dad jokes and I really loved watching how much fun Lenny and Tyler are having. Sometimes, I get a little to serious and need a reminder we are at this pursuit for fun (as well as other reasons). Thanks!
That Corey is an awesome caller. His aggressive techniques are awesome for those Roosevelt elk and that bull was a real growler.Keep the Dad jokes coming.
I still enjoy seeing the struggles of early season hunting, because most shows don’t show that part of elk hunt. I like the comments and instructions around the raking and moving, especially when the elk are calling because it is early.
The ethics discussion at the end of this video was so important. Thanks for including that and helping to steer people in the proper ethical direction.
Grinding out another morning on the mountain chasing alot of noise from Rosies and more from Yellers. Great to see at least 2 teams getting some action on day6. Thanks for letting us tag along on all 3 hunts.
I recently discovered the Elk Talk podcast. Corey’s story about lending his release to Donnie for an outing, and then being forced to take a bare-finger frontal shot at 10y is amazing! Just goes to show, it’ll happen when you least expect it. Love following you guys. Love Destination Elk. Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge and experiences!
Cory, your arts and crafts during the hot non eventful days made me laugh :))) My family also finds great things to make during those days that you must wait patiently. Patience will pay off.
Love the cat and mouse. Shows me that even the guys that are better than me and more experienced than me at it are not always successful. Helps me to not get discouraged.
Awesome content!! I sure miss the Skousen brothers. Also thanks for the clean family friendly content, no cussing, swearing or crude language, I have full respect for all you guys. It sure paints a pretty picture to the general public that we sportsmen can be a respected crowd, keep it up!!
As a western Washington hunter I appreciate the western Oregon crew. As well as being able to put an Idaho hunt on my wish list. Thanks for everything you do.
Ya'll are correct, Corey can call. I love his analytical approach to how he pursued the bull. It's useful information for those of us that do not have near the elk hunting experience.
Another great episode. Some struggles for sure but that's hunting. Sweet to see Corey Ford getting in close. Crazy growl on that bull. Look forward to the next episode.
I like the fast and aggressive calling and pushing in on that bull, can't wait to try it this fall. you guys are cracking me up with some of this stuff
I haven’t been tracking the other comments but I really enjoy clicking on the video and seeing that it is a longer one. I often don’t get much time to hunt to learn some of those lessons that are presented through the video, so I appreciate seeing as much as possible so that when I do get out there I know it just isn’t me struggling.
Wahoo, I'm happy to see Donny back on the strategy for success and Tyler rejoining Lenny. Also love the ethics conversation. We have these kinds of conversations within my hunting parties pretty frequently. Thanks for tackling tough topics
That bull Corey was chasing after had one of the most unique bugles I think I've ever heard! The first time I heard it, I looked at my husband like "what the heck was that"?! 🤣 Hope he can get back on him again in the next episode!!
That was a really good-sounding bull that Corey with the Angry Spike team was chasing, I think he’ll get it done and close the distance to get the shot! Good Luck on the next episode and thanks to All of the sponsors for bringing Destination Elk V5 to us!
Can't get enough of the chuckling. So good. I wanted to find you during huntexpo but my daughter was in the peewee elk calling division and it was while you were at the booth
Staying busy while sitting in the heat is one of the hardest things. The bulls bugle with Angry Spike sounds so cool echoing all over! Hopefully they can get him!
Great season! I enjoy the different team dynamics, terrain, weather, calling techniques, modes of transportation. A lot to learn and thanks for providing it. Best of luck next season!
Great episode. I love the longer one hour ones! And we feel complete again. We got two Donnie Dad jokes and even one from Corey. Can it get any better?! Team Angry Spike is on fire with their elk encounters this season. All respect and a salute to Mark Skousken for tagging out on the bull he shot but didn't recover. Great demonstration of good ethics. It's been a very educational season so far. Also speaking of educational, for all of us RMEF members, take a look at page 18 of our Bugle Mazine Nov/Dec 2022 edition, cow elk can bugle! I've been hunting for a long time and never knew that. Thanks to RMEF an Elk101 sponsor and ELK101 we can always learn something new!
Great episodes again guys! I really like the way Corey Ford dives into the bush after the elk. I'm an aggressive hunter also. That last 100 yards is so challenging. Its hard not to call or give away your position versus the bull doing the same strategy. I like the raking when the bulls are quiet. It's great to learn all these skills from the pro's so as to enter the mountains next year with more skills to rely on. Thanks guys!
Pretty amazing how the sounds can change from 1 location to the other. I would have thought the one for Corey was further away and he stands up on a stump and they are just over a rise. Glad to see the dad jokes, think things are going to turn around for you guys with all the dad jokes.
That was a really cool sounding bull that Corey with the Angry Spike team was chasing, I think he’ll get it done and close the distance to get the shot! Awesome episode and enjoyed tagging along with all the teams. Good Luck 🍀 on the next episode and thanks to All of the sponsors for bringing Destination Elk V5 to us!
That bull that Cory was chasing just goes to show that you can't always judge a bull by its bugle. That's a nice Rosie for sure, but it's not the giant dinosaur that his bugle would lead you to believe he is. Pretty incredible sounding bull and super exciting to watch them try to track him down!
It’s cool to see how the different teams approach their hunt. Lots of great tips and ideas. Can’t wait to try some of them this season. Thanks again for putting these shows together.
Good talk through ethics. It’s always a tough conversation. It’s like talking politics. But in the end, what’s in your heart knowing you’re making the right decision. As a father of a young hunter, I preach ethics and talk through my mistakes at a young age.
Loved how Corey had a backup dad joke in case Donnie couldn’t swing it around. 😂 great episode tonight.
Great episode! I see the dad jokes are wearing off onto Corey.
It awesome that even when there is almost no evidence of elk, the twins Corey and Donnie still break out great humor😆
Donnie looks like the kind of elk hunting partner we all look for and strive to be. Always in good humor and up for whatever’s next.
Great to see the smiles on everyone’s faces. Positivity goes a long ways to staying persistent in the pursuit. Love the old man stretches as well!
One thing I love about all these groups is that no one ever gets disappointed and the next day they just keep getting after it.
My husband gave me grief the other night because instead of him remembering what day of the week it has been the last few weeks it's been me saying it's Tuesday or Thursday let's watch V5 Elk 101! You guys have me hooked on your show and I learn more and more every episode.

with me. She's hooked to the point that she is singing and/or humming your theme song all day! "I'm about to even the score, get ready!"
I laughed harder at the look on Donnie’s face when he nearly forgot the punchline!!!! Nice save man, nice save 😄
Looks like Donny is really watching how he moves across the rocky areas due to his past knee issues this year! Corey Ford is persistent on getting into that wicked sounding bull. Good to see you are feeling better in this show. Keep up the great work on the shows!!
I like the slow play, raking to get an elk's curiosity in the beginning of the season and more aggressive towards the end. Learning lots. Thanks.
This time of year we all need some good hunting videos to watch and Elk101 delivers! I really enjoy the authenticity of your hunts, the ups and the downs. Playing Marco Polo with a bull is so exhilarating! Well done!
Best show on UA-cam right here. You guys are the most ethical hunters out there right now whether it be legally or morally!
One of the most relatable episodes I’ve seen yet, lots of hiking and no elk 😂 love the content as always! Already have me excited for elk season 2023
The bugle on that bull is just incredible. No matter how big he is with a bugle like that you have a good story to tell
Destination Elk is like my beggining of year elk masterclass. I'm learning so much.
These days where things seem so gloomy, it's always a welcomed pick-me-up to just sit and watch a new episode of DEV5.
The different teams within each episode highlight different styles and terrain. It is educational and entertaining. Thanks!
Another great episode! I like Corey getting in on the dad jokes and I really loved watching how much fun Lenny and Tyler are having. Sometimes, I get a little to serious and need a reminder we are at this pursuit for fun (as well as other reasons). Thanks!

this wind blows!! More amazing footage...I watch every episode 3 times and never skip an ad!
“Next time on destination elk”. That phrase is getting old lol I love it all guys great job!!
Those 2 bulls had such unique bugles!! Gave me chills hearing that growler! Can't wait for the next episode and thanks for sharing!
Grinding out another morning on the mountain chasing alot of noise from Rosies and more from Yellers. Great to see at least 2 teams getting some action on day6. Thanks for letting us tag along on all 3 hunts.
I totally agree with y’all’s strategy for success. Ethics is the decision that you make even when no one’s watching.
The Oregon boys are killing it with footage this year. I glad to see them on elk everyday.
Another awesome episode. Thank you guys for taking me along. Keep digging and grinding. I can’t wait until episode 12 uploads.
Dad jokes are the best! Thanks Donny for the smiles.
Cory, your arts and crafts during the hot non eventful days made me laugh :))) My family also finds great things to make during those days that you must wait patiently. Patience will pay off.
Love the cat and mouse. Shows me that even the guys that are better than me and more experienced than me at it are not always successful. Helps me to not get discouraged.
another great episode. Hearing the sound of that growling bull gets my blood flowing. Can't wait for next week.
I really like how you have incorporated the different groups of guys. It’s awesome to see the different tactics that are used by each group.
Awesome content!! I sure miss the Skousen brothers. Also thanks for the clean family friendly content, no cussing, swearing or crude language, I have full respect for all you guys. It sure paints a pretty picture to the general public that we sportsmen can be a respected crowd, keep it up!!
What a cool sounding bugle for the Angry Spike crew. So cool when you get an aggressive sounding bull. Adds to the excitement.
As a western Washington hunter I appreciate the western Oregon crew. As well as being able to put an Idaho hunt on my wish list. Thanks for everything you do.
You're killing me Smalls!! I'm ready to see a bull take a dirt nap. Love the miles you're putting on those boots.
I has to rewind it more than once to hear that Jurassic bugle! That had my heart racing from the couch!
You all continue to make great episodes from the grueling hikes to the dad jokes. Always looking forward to the next episode.
The growl on that bull is insane. The persistence of team Angry Spike is awsome.
Love the tenacity Corey showed continuing to go after that bull in that tough country!!
Love to see you guys sticking with it even when it’s so slow or have close calls.
The Roosevelt hunts are always awesome to watch. That growl on that bull was something else! Fingers crossed for an elk down soon!
More good times with Elk 101. Thank you for all the effort this season
Corey and team angry spike are impressive. That man can rip a tube with some grunts and bugles. I am impressed with the country they hunt in.
Love watching the different hunting styles between each team and even the different approaches teams take from day to day. Elk 101 indeed!
Amazing how you guys still seem to have so much energy after 6 days of hard hunting!
Glad you're feeling better, happy to see you guys back in the room together. The grind is real.
Ya'll are correct, Corey can call. I love his analytical approach to how he pursued the bull. It's useful information for those of us that do not have near the elk hunting experience.
Great dad jokes, great elk hunting content. Thanks Elk101 for helping me get through the off season
Angry Spike is fun to watch. That's rugged country and roads everywhere. Cars driving by but hard at work on a bull. Cool!
That dinosaur in the jungle is so cool! C. Ford is fun to watch running through that stuff. Donnie seems to be moving slow but steady!
That screamer bull that Team Angry Spike was chasing was definitely a different bugle. Another great episode.
Great episode! That Roosevelt bull had an awesome growling bugle! What a thrilling experience that must have been! Good job and keep it up!
I love having these videos to enjoy in the evenings. Thanks for a great show.
I hope that Donny and Cory actully get to see and hear some elk. Your perseverance is commendable.
Gotta love the attitudes as the days pass, seem like they get more determined as time goes by.
What a great group of guys. Can definitely see why each hunts together.
Inspires myself to watch the tenacity of all the groups during those lean hunts. I’m sure the persistence will pay off.

What a great one to watch, happy to see everyone getting in on the action. Angry Spike is in the thick of it! Can’t wait for the next one.
Being able to hunt multiple elk a year would be so fun. I love the stories that you share with us keep em coming
That was a really good-sounding bull that Corey with the Angry Spike team was chasing, I think he’ll get it done and close the distance to get the shot! Good Luck on the next episode and thanks to All of the sponsors for bringing Destination Elk V5 to us!
Watching Team Angry Spike work is very impressive. I have not heard a bull growl like that. Hope to see him successful.
Can't get enough of the chuckling. So good. I wanted to find you during huntexpo but my daughter was in the peewee elk calling division and it was while you were at the booth

These videos are a double edge sword.. on one end, they help bridge the gap til season. On the other, I CANT WAIT FOR SEASON!
So fun and exciting to watch! I always look forward to destination elk after every elk season! Thank you for doing this!
It is good to have Donnie back... on the re-cap and it was nice to see the tactics of waiting for the wind.
Good episode with plenty of elk action that also came with just enough dad jokes. Love it!

That is one cool sounding bull. Love that rasp. Sounds like 3 packs a day! Kept waiting for the T Rex to step out!
Welcome back Donnie. Glad everyone is feeling better
Really impressive collection of hard work and camera work this year. Really impressed!
It’s cool to see how the different teams approach their hunt. Lots of great tips and ideas. Can’t wait to try some of them this season. Thanks again for putting these shows together.
That is quite the bull Corey is after! Love seeing the beautiful country. Can't wait for the next episode!

This episode was so full of anticipation, thinking the elk encounters are seconds away. It’s a long wait for the next one.
Man its always awesome to see the vast difference in calling and terrain . Keep up the awesome videos
