Gunjan Saxena needs to be on this list too. She single handedly brought the charisma of the whole film down to the ground. I only imagine someone like Radhika Madan OR Shreya Dhanwantary would have made the film of a whole new level. Nepotism sucks.
Director watered down the story so that gunjan saxena was focused more on innocent girl in a man's world and on father daughter relationship. There was more to the movie but it settled for sentimental drama so there was no reason to cast those actress since the role was catered to janvhi's abilities. Two things to notice in video 1. Kabir Khan during prasing Salman khan his face looks he is not serious 2. Arjun Kapoor close up in interview no expression
Maybe tubelight director meant it as salman always doing action and larger than life roles, so there was a another side to him in tubelight that he never saw. Its was never about portraying character just toning down salman to not have him as larger than action hero. The movie and acting was still bad not to mention bharat another remake but tailor made to suit salmans personality.

Panipat was only ruined by Arjun. Otherwise i felt it was a very detailed war based film. I loved how they explained the various army formations (diamond , square) and how it would affect the outcome of war. I also found its narrative to be quite impressive.

I can completely relate to the casting of Tushar Kapoor in "Shootout at Lokhandwala". Me and my younger sister together watched the film in TV. It felt awkward to me and my sister both . When I watched the film I was 13 or 14 years old. Because I only watched Tushar Kapoor in Golmaal series and a love story film with Kareena Kapoor. As a teenager, it was hard to imagine Tushar Kapoor in the role of gangster
Yesterday.. YESTERDAY only I was watching Rockstar with my sister and we noticed the same thing... Heer was very.. stiff.. ❣️ Wonderful video btw..❣️❣️ absolutely love this channel
Thank you for making this video. Nepotism and lobbying has destroyed the growth of talent in bollywood. We deserve to see quality content since we pay so much for hindi films.
Before nepotism auditioning was never given attention, majority of any bollywood actress career is based on looks and who makes a heroine nothing to do with character and performance based acting. Only independent cinema had those actress who worked on their craft chosen to portay the best roles. Nepotism just exacerbated the problem and w.o nepotism the only way outsiders would be in bollywood movies is beauty contestants/models or a fair complexion girls.
I feel karan as an Atagonist was quiet convincing in bombay Velvet and as the role demanded he played his part very well I might be wrong but there were other vetrans who would have done justice to this character but karan has given his best shot and I am not complaining......
At 2:08 you forgot to mention lyrics writer my friend .please give them credits ,Irshad Kamil has heartly written lyrics of the song , I haven't expected this from you.🙄
Karan johar's acting in Bombay velvet was much better than all the young 'talent' he launches in movies. But his visibility was not the reason behind the failure of the movie, it was complete lack of interest from audience.
You were 13 yrs old at the time of Shoot out at Lokhandwala in 2007 and during Rock Star in 2011 you were still in school at the age of 17yrs..17yrs mai toh HSC kar liya tha maine.😂😂😂
Y'know that's something to talk about. The prejudiced or on milder terms pre-formed image that we're (maybe subconsciously) bound to project upon an actor's performace when we are extremely familiar with the kind of work the actor has ventured in previously. (With Karan Johar's case it was more about his Image as an individual constantly in the limelight and not his previous performances) Maybe an example would be David Schwimmer in Band of Brothers. The actor is phenomenal. Maybe the best amongst the cast of Friends. But every time we hear captain Sobel's voice we can't stop thinking about Ross..
Finally....finally.....finalllyyyyy someone spoke about Fakri in Rockstar. One reason why I didn't end the movie when I first saw it was her painful acting.....Aditi in very less time in the movie impressed so much, her eyes emote more than her words. I never understood Ali's vision while casting Heer.

If someone else makes a biopic on gunjan focusing on reality without banking on patriotic sentiments then those actress are good choices to take on that kind of role.
@@Finnola exactly. The script was shit and is an insult to the Indian audience's intelligence. Do they think we're fools to not like a good REAL biopic? I have read about Sadashiv Rao Bhau, heard Stories about him from my Grand mother and also seen Paintings of him, and Let me tell you Arjun Kapoor Is nothing Like the Legendary Figure. The way Kapoor says that making a Joke on him is discrediting Sadashiv Rao Bhau as well is Bullshit and a kind of superiority complex cuz he thinks he did a good job in the movie. Maybe tubelight director meant it as salman always doing action and larger than life roles, so there was a another side to him in tubelight that he never saw.

Karan johar's acting in Bombay velvet was much better than all the young 'talent' he launches in movies. But his visibility was not the reason behind the failure of the movie, it was complete lack of interest from audience.
