Shahid's career has been somewhat tragic. He proved his mettle early on but didn't find enough box office validation. By the time he got that with Jab We Met, Ranbir had already arrived on the scene, followed by Imran. Then Ranveer came along. All of these guys enjoyed overwhelming media support and big banner patronage. Shahid survived wave after wave of all this and is still around. Kabir Singh may not be his best film but certainly a validation of his 17 year long struggle.

I never liked imran...he was like crush for all girls when janne tu was released...just same old romantic comedy movies he did...he can't do action or any movies like ranveer dud like ram leela and bajiro mastaan same like ranbir did sanju and burfi can't see imran in such roles.. all credits to aamir uncle for helping him in his initial stage that's all

Aaronbir Osahan True but it doesn’t change the fact that Aditya was brilliant in it.Very much looking forward to seeing him in future action movies though I have to say he was also good as a romantic hero in Aashiqui 2 and Fitoor and was very capable in playing a goofy character like he did in Guzaarish.

fitoor could have been a better movie if they went for someone other than Katrina as the female lead.. movies like fitoor need capable actors and keep the viewers glued to the screen with the character's acting.. even katrina's diehard fans know she cannot act..
i lost hope in that movie when they announced that Katrina was the female lead and I knew the fate of it even before it got released.

The fault lies with our crap mentality. Flop means social death. That should change. Someone like Akshaye Khanna or Saif too have a strong cult following despite not being great crowd pullers. Hence they can experiment without fear. I also think it's unfair to write off Abhishek.
Well, flops are social deaths bcz if your movie can't pull numbers,(ideally) you're not considered as someone whose good. Why? Bcz producers need to earn in order to produce.
Nikki A but that doesn’t work in India man movies with great scripts and acting are ignored and movies with stupid ass acting and script, so India is not a land where you can consider a flop as a bad movie because those are the one you should consider to watch again.

I mean that from a producer's perspective, they wouldn't typically want to bait on a horse that won't win them the race, you know what I mean? And in India, this just so happens to be the case of actors and scripts who are different/haven't gotten a chance to prove themselves. Other than that, I completely agree with you.
@@nikkia8681 By that logic Anurag Kashyap, Vishal Bharadwaj, Hansal Mehta, etc shouldn't make movies as their work doesn't rake in the moolah. Certain art forms aren't patronized to make a buck but to enhance credibility. Often the money earned from a blockbuster is used by a studio to produce several content-oriented projects which then some actors can experiment with. A lot of such films actually save our face at international platforms. Just because someone doesn't bring in the money doesn't mean they shouldn't get work or should be ridiculed.

From a strict economic viewpoint, a producer shall only produce a product which they seem as being monetarily sustainable. In the field of art, however, this satisfaction attained from a product is open to various other spheres of evaluation as well, instead of just being economical. I never once stated an actor/film 'deserves' to not be made just because it doesn't fit the framework of what is conventionally percieved as commercially successful.

Incidentally, Imran at the time of Delhi Belly was considered a bigger star than his contemporary Ranbir. Having given a slew of hits like Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na, I Hate Luv Stories, Delhi Belly, Mere Brother ki Dulhan. Ranbir at that time had only two real hits - Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahaani and Raajneeti. Look how the tables turn.
But ranbir films also had very good storylines and acting performances like wake up Sid,rocket singh and rockstar,rocket singh and rockstar tanked at the box office while wake up Sid did average business .now all of these three films are considered to be one of his best works❤️.

I never liked Shahid Kapoor until the release of Rambo Rajkumar... I loved the fact that despite being so short and having a small body frame he managed to pull of every fight scene in the movie like a pro .For me an actor can do anything except engage you in a fight scene if there are physical limitations ( just my opinion)

But After that She never worked with Khans but Still Became the Queen of Bollywood and Global face of Indian Cinema with hits like Dhoom2,Guru,Jodha Akbar,Robot,Ravan and critically acclaimed movies like Chooker bali, Raincoat, Provoked, etc.Not only that she Starred as lead in Many British and Hollywood movies Like Bride and prejudice which was Hit,Mistress if Spices,Provoked,Last Legion,Pink Panther 2
No matter she had Hits or Flops in her career but her Stardom with in India and Internationally never Decreased and even today she is listed among 100 most influential and admired people Globally alongside stars like Srk,Amitabh, etc..She truly is a Survivor ❤

The way Saif Ali khan improved himself since Dil chahta hai deserves more appreciation. He gave and is giving so many great performances but still stayed underrated. But everything changed this year when Tanhaji released, he got the appreciation he deserves and collected a huge number at the BO.

I thought Hrithik Roshan's career had a leading man was over after the massive flop of Mohenjo Daro and the ugly personal situation he was in, and yet he made 2 successive hits as a lead in 2019 with Super 30 and War. SRK is in a much better position than Hrithik was during his tough phase, so he has a better chance for a comeback

I started to like Aditya after action reply ,but I love him in romantic movie so I like fitoor ,yes his kalank role was appreciated ...specially train scene when he given his hand to Aliya.....in movie ye jawani ha dewani his role given more impact and money

Just commenting to say Haider is a masterpiece. The songs were stellar - Gulon mein rang bhare, aaj ke naam, do jahaan and the iconic Bismil (the placement of the song in the movie, too good). One of the best movies I watched till date.
