Watching Priety Zinta's response to the casting couch question was cringe-worthy. It's important for celebrities to address serious issues with thoughtfulness and sensitivity. Her tone-deaf response missed the mark, and it's disappointing to see missed opportunities for constructive dialogue on such an important issue. Zoya Akhtar's comment about her journey is a reminder that even talented individuals like her often fail to acknowledge their privilege compared to outsiders. This lack of awareness can be frustrating because it perpetuates inequality in the industry. It's essential for them to recognize the advantages they've had and use their platform to advocate for a more level playing field. Acknowledging privilege doesn't diminish their talent, but it does show a commitment to fairness and inclusivity, which is crucial in any industry.
You're absolutely right. I think a lot of them take it as a form of attack on their own achievements which in their view, they've worked very hard to accomplish. So i think they instinctively go into defense mode and try to justify it rather than simply acknowledge that its a systemic problem. Nepotism existing doesn't mean that a person like Zoya isn't worthy of her achievements. It just means that she is lucky to have her talent backed by channels and systems designed to help the Zoya's of bollywood - the same channels that someone equally talented as her would probably not get because they aren't already somehow connected to the industry. I hope that once star kids stop seeing it as a personal attack they can view it objectively like others do and try to work towards inclusivity instead brushing it off.
I see no reason why and how Priety Zinta's "Aaj ki sweetu kal ki metoo ho sakti hai" is problematic. It has become a fashion to catch flying arrows with the arse for many people that they blow things out of proportion. "Aaj ka boyfriend kal ka wife-beater ban sakta hai", how is that wrong OBJECTIVELY? Because there is a possibility. Even statistics support that. "sakta hai/sakti hai" refers to the possibility, not certainty. She didn't say that every metoo is a false allegation. Her statement simply means that some of the "sweetus" might become false accusers, which is in fact possible and plausible. The line doesn't mean all women are liers or false accusers.
I thought Priety misunderstood the question as just someone casually flirting instead of sexual harrasment but when she made that joke I was like "nope".
It's really hard to believe that it's been over 30 years since SRK is working in this industry and yet is nearly impossible to find any such clip of him😶😶
@@starlord6073If you don't know After 30 years of srk, that he has a sense of humor, you must be living under a rock or be Very boring person. that was a joke which many people laughed at including atlees wife and atlee. So chill

Srk even recently made a cringe joke about Atleee and himself producing another baby like Jawan -- then said he meant of course Atlee's wife would come into the picture. The audience laughed but it was a terrible joke. And some years back he turned a beautiful Beatles number into a Marry Me song for Priyanka Chopra. These are just two instances. Agreed that Sharukh is the current flavour and hugely popular --but how does he not enter this list of embarrassing celebs? His reputation as a 'witty guy' does not excuse him.
What happened with Nawazuddin was that he unconsciously took potshot on SRK as an instant reaction and broke into the SRK signature pose, but the moment he realised that this might seem condescending to SRK, he tried to do the damage control by ending the very pose into a classical dance mudra so not as to appear suggestive. You can even make out slight changes in his expression the moment he realised this in the middle of the pose. Nevertheless it very much shows a speckle of underlying superiority complex.
But in case of ananya, I dont feel like its got something to do with her talent or acting choices. It was from initial phase of her career, and speaking about tkss, its mostly about all these stuffs rather than serious discussions of the respective films. But a senior actor like Kangana making fun/ mocking a person for a casual act of hers which didnt cause any harm to anyone btw in a hugely popularized platform was actually problematic.
Kangana is a big problem in herself... People all sung her praises but actually she comes across as arrogant, bitter and spiteful with a superiority complex.. Also she seems a bit delusional.....
Video suggestion: There have been very few movies that can be termed sci-fi and even fewer which are about historically significant scientific achievements in India. Now would be an excellent time to go down memory lane to see how those movies have aged. I remember there was an article in FC regarding the same. That would be a good starting point. One more suggestion: Can you make a playlist of awkward interviews and Matlab kuch bhi episodes?
One thing I like about Annanya Pandey now a days that she is extremely positive...She can take jokes on herself..even in Dream girl announcement there was a joke about her but she took it sportingly..Also in Ranveer show she was telling about body positivity and how one should not go for cosmetic surgeries was great opinion for a young Actress..Now a days actresses are soo much into cosmetic surgeries which is ultimately harmful... Everyone ( specially actresses) wants to fulfill the soo called beauty standards and did those changes not only on their face but also on their bodys it's extremely sad...

Nawaz lately in his interviews has said some controversial things like Dipression being a Urban Problem but here in the interview he was being straightforward and honest about his take on Typecasting and the hand gesture just not only jibed at SRK but Rajesh Khanna as well. There is a podcast of British Pakistani Actor Ali Khan with Nadir Ali where he mentions an incident b/w SRK and Farhan Akhtar if you see it you would know what actually Nawaz was mentioning.
He is a fan of srk and very very bias when it comes to reviewing his films so we can't accept honesty from him. I agreed with all but not with what nawaz said.
"straightforward and honest"? Is that why Chak De India, MNIK, Fan, Ashoka, Swades etc. are part of his filmography? Is that why these are one of his most popular films as well? Like how much blindess does it take to think that that was "straightforward and honest"? Honestly, I think I'll never know.
Kangana's comment on anything should not be counted lol.. Would really like to hear your views on Parineeti's Chopra's career graph, where did she go wrong? or did the industry did not support her enough? Is she an example of one of those actors who could not beat the nepo kids?
Yet another succinctly created video. An area in which a lot of reviews dont venture is horror. Indian movies have generally created sub par movies in the horror genre. However, the last decade has seen some pretty interesting movies in this genre, especially in the south. Would be good to see you create some content around this genre, in general

I really think you always have the right content and good analysis for every film review. But here I believe Aamir Khan was just joking and don't mean it seriously at all and the crowd didn't cheer him up but cheered his sense of humour and honestly I'm not a fan of Aamir sir to back him up. And I totally agree with parineeti as well she is very intelligent, me as someone who saw her interviews before what she really meant was if films r extremely true to life without Melo dramatic lines(filmy lines) then the film might receive great critical acclaim but box off success will become a prey most of the times. Like Haseen tho Phasee, Sonakshi's film lootera are extremely true to life and have no filmy acting(Melo dramatic dialogues) in them but most films that have melodramatic lines r only successful om Shanti Om, Karan Arjun etc but audience crave filmy acting because when I saw ae dil hai mushkil in theatre only claps and whistles I heard in the entire film was after srk's dialogue which is next level and ofc he is God of acting. But those lines were extremely impressive but melodramatic and may be that is also one of the reasons srk never won a national award even though he is an exceptional actor his films hav melodramatic dialogues where as national award is given to actors who's dialogues r very true to life. Like QSQT Aamir sir won a national award to his own surprise he himself felt his performance was not so impressive but what is impressive is that he didn't do filmy acting at all, his role is very true to life (as Johnny lever described about QSQT). All Mansoor Khan films r non filmy films but most were huge successes because of songs and his direction. U should know a Telugu director Shekar Kamula who delivered 98% hits, only with new cast in each film, his films r very true to life as well.
I was really heartbroken with what Nawaz Sir told the interviewer. He indirectly took a jab on SRK. I just hope he did it for humour and nothing else. He is a role model for a lot of youngsters and teens who have complex issues with themselves and fear to fail. No doubt he is a brilliant actor. I dont want him to unknowingly tarnish the legacy he has created with so much hardwork and passion. ❤
Nawazuddin said what majority of people noticed about these ageing superstars. His comment on srk's typecasting is true and the gestures are hardly criticism. There so many criticism that can me made about superstars still thinking they're young and stuck on being entertainers. At least the actors should be honest about their image and like Rajnikanth in the Ponniyan Selvan audio launch last year said he only has stock expressions and uses that in every films, he doesn't know anything else.
Did u juat said naserrudin shah. If it is? I don't remember him praising himself while disrespecting other. He talks about politics with his take and confidence but when did he hate other actor and made fun of or even be arrogant in interview. Can u give any examples?
it was illogical.. because Sunny plays a well trained Commando in the film. So I agree with his view point.. but I also see why SRK could kill him.. that amount of craziness has crazy amount of inner strength to overpower even well trained officers.
one more thing came into my mind when sonam kapoor in Kooffe with Karan said that " people think you are a good actor if you are ugly" and bragged about how versatile movies she has done, I felt it was kinda disrespectful towards the outsiders.
Are you saying outsiders like Deepika, Priyanka, Madhuri, Kangana and Tapsee are ugly?? I think she was taking a shot at art film actors who do more serious or non glamorous roles - unlike commercial films which require a lot of fashion and glamor. This is anyway a misconception because art film actors are some of the beautiful actors. I don't think she speaks very well but she was talking about the assumption that if you're glam and into fashion you will be dumb and talentless - which is also not the case. There is bias both ways..
Some video ideas that I think should be made - 1. How financial perspective has affected music of the movies and why certain amazing singers and composers are not given opportunities? 2. Best cinematographers and camera people and their best works 3. The filmmaking process of the biggies of the industry
1:30 I was really put off by this moment. I could put out the most positive energy but that’s not stopping the violence that exists in the bigger picture.

Definitely wasn't expecting Zoya on that list.
You'd think she knows better than to equate her struggles with others, even if the context is slightly different.
its the constant effort in making parallels and diminishing the privilege of ACCESS that gets me. It literally opens the gateways for so many avenues vs those who have no bearings with how the system works
Exactly! The privilege of access, nobody acknowledges it. Like Ananya Pandey says she is a struggler because her father never worked in a karan johar film, but there are people in Mumbai actually struggling to become actors who's parents don't even have the money to watch a Karan Johar film.

yeah, we dont take Varuns words seriously since the time he compared Dilwale with Inception
Garmi ain't that bad actually from a choreography stand point. And yes, I do agree his defence for Bawaal was very weak. Pushing attention towards Oppenheimer and the lack of criticism south indian films receive. Completely missed the point on the critique

Meetoo movement was bullshit full of victim play

Well said!
Even Prayagrajiya was like "Heinnnn" instead of his usual blank owl stare and headbob.

I think an actor like Siddique is allowed to feel superior to SRK
But in case of ananya, I dont feel like its got something to do with her talent or acting choices. It was from initial phase of her career, and speaking about tkss, its mostly about all these stuffs rather than serious discussions of the respective films. But a senior actor like Kangana making fun/ mocking a person for a casual act of hers which didnt cause any harm to anyone btw in a hugely popularized platform was actually problematic.

Kangana is a big problem in herself... People all sung her praises but actually she comes across as arrogant, bitter and spiteful with a superiority complex.. Also she seems a bit delusional.....

Nawazuddin said what majority of people noticed about these ageing superstars. His comment on srk's typecasting is true and the gestures are hardly criticism. There so many criticism that can me made about superstars still thinking they're young and stuck on being entertainers. I think she was taking a shot at art film actors who do more serious or non glamorous roles - unlike commercial films which require a lot of fashion and glamor. This is anyway a misconception because art film actors are some of the beautiful actors.
