Walking away is an act of self-respect. It's a way of saying "fuck this, i can do better" not "If i do this hopefully she will want me" Sometimes as a result of walking away they will want you, and sometimes they wont. It all depends on their level of interest but it's not about that, and it's definitely not a magic fix all tool.

And that's put you in a position of never having to chase and letting her come at her own pace. Then he says that if they don't call you after you tell them this, to call them next week(reluctantly). Doesn't her not calling you mean that she is either structured, flaky, or low interest? Shouldn't you just move on? I feel like I would lose a lot of power if she said alright to me telling her to call me later and then me calling her next week...?
It's ok to call after a week even if you said for her yo call you later, but to be honest if a girl doesn't call you withing the first 48 hours after your last date then she's not interested, very important not to set up another date on your current date or when she calls texts the same day or the morning after your last date, wait to ask her out again after 24 hours of your last date if she contacts you again otherwise wait a week to reach out.

Focus on your things man, let her be. No need to add more drama to your life, from your text you got a lot of work to do on yourself. Work on making yourself both mentally and physically better and aim to always progress each day.
