Great video, I'm looking into buying a ES that has these moldings but I don't like these moldings. Would removing damage the paint? How difficult is the removal?
It shouldn’t but u do have to take ur time removing it tho and using adhesive removal. U have to pry on the molding little by little. And use a plastic panel popper so it wont scratch the paint
Thanks for the install video. You mentioned that you might edit video to include a couple of things you forgot to mention. If you edit the the video, would you please show us the actual installation method you use for putting the molding in place and removing the adhesive backing at the same time. I think that's what worries most first time installers. Watching you actually removing adhesive backing and putting molding in place would be key to a proper installation. Thank you.
Honestly what we would use is a clean rag, 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner and a plastic panel popper that I showed in the video when leveling the panels....when you remove old panels or damage panels just spray adhesive remover on the double sided tape and use a plastic surface to remove it. Dont put alot of pressure because u dont want to damage the paint but once u remove most of the big parts of the tape then spray the clean rag with 3M adhesive remover and go over the surface u want clean n it should remove everything. Then wash the area with soup n water and u should be fine for installation
Does most molding based on measure from bottom of the door and then go up xx (i.e. 11 inches) inches equally? I have a 2009 Corolla and the door, window, front wheel, rear wheel are not same height. The other way may be measure from door handle down xx inches. I try to make the molding flow with the car. Thanks for the video.

Hello! How many inches from the bottom of the door if you're installing the moldings on a 2021 RX350 F Sport?
Just curious toyota/lexus typically use metric for their measurements with very specific measurementsfor the molding..but you're using inches.
Im using inches so it can be easier for u guys to understand.....i converted all the measurements into inches
