I understand your concerns…I had the same thoughts. The OEM ones are really great and the adhesive tape on the backside of the body molding kit is very strong. I’ve heard of no issues of them coming off in car washes or when you wash your car. I would give it a day or two after you install them to fully adhere to the body panel before you give your car a wash. If you end up trying out any aftermarket ones lmk how those end up working out.
