Just found your channel. I've found that other channels expect you to be an expert pilot to understand what they're talking about. I love how clear and concise your videos are. I look foward to the rest of the series!

You are my hero! Really enjoy your thoughtful, concise videos. I, too, mostly fly VFR, but like to mix it up with an occasional IFR flight. Gets the brain engaged a little more; especially good to do since I’m over 80 now. Wish you had chosen the DA-62 for the IFR Series though; a much more elegant bird to fly.

I was tossing up between the 208 and the diamond but ultimately chose the 208 because it’s a bit easier to fly and more approachable for beginners.

What a channel! I have played FS on the XSX for 4 days now. First time playing FS and I am hooked and ready to become "proficient" at flying.
    Your videos are perfect:
-Clear titles about learning a specific skill, -You get straight to the point,
-7-15min long videos that are perfect for quickly diving into mid way through a gaming session.
Well done. Keep them coming. Your channel views will have blown up by the end of the year.

Any idea when a real flight recorder will be available through the Market place on Xbox? Can’t believe it’s not a part of the sim, pc or Xbox. For PC, there are 3rd parties that created it for purchase/install. Xbox is limited to what marketplace offers.

Loverly - very nice and concise. Only just found your channel, but liked and subscribed, as at first glance you have lots of content that I am looking for. Bite sized video's that explain each topic clearly and succinctly. Nice work.

Very helpful series of tutorials. Your videos are very well done and highly appreciated. One suggestion would be to minimize or eliminate the large live insert in the upper right of the screen since it doesn't add anything but actually distracts from the content. Thanks again for taking the time to bring these very informative tutorial to us.

Yes that's a great point. I was being a bit lazy because I had to apply a few filters to the video to get it to take less space, but you convinced me it's worth it :)

Been flying the extra 330 for all my personal flights, with the exception of landing challenges, which are really fun and challenging, especially not being used to such sluggish planes. Starting yesterday, I set the weather to “storms”, and then flying in zero visibility, just by mostly instruments, even though it’s a VFR flight. From Monterey, over the Santa Cruz mountains to the bay area, touch and goes at 5 airports, then back over to half Moon Bay from SFO. Very challenging, can’t see anything, plane is bouncing from up to 4 positive g’s to 2 negative over the mountains which are 3000 ft. Just make sure to fly a plane that has the Garman instruments, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible. It’s instrument flying and low altitude, no auto pilot on the Extra 330, just have to watch the gages 95% of the time, exhausting mentally, but super challenging, no visibility, landing in severe crosswinds, all instrument flying/landing.👍😁

Although I totally support your choice of the larger Cessna, could I ask you to explain to us how to fly with the most limited set of instruments (i.e. Cessna 152?)? One short video would be sufficient, I think… ILS approach, VOR, ADF, etc..
Then, it will be that much easier to fly with anything… Or so I believe… 😁
Thanks for your didactics around all of this!

@@FlightSimSchool I would love that also. Would love to know all the different methods of navigation with even the most basic of planes. UA-cam is really lacking in that type of content!

I've just released a first video that covers some of those intricacies. There is more to cover and more videos on the topic are coming in the future: ua-cam.com/video/qD7rt5WBgpU/v-deo.html

Definitely try VATSIM. They're not as picky about pilots as you'd think (I'm training to ATC, and observing right now so believe you me I've seeeeeeeen things). But they do want you to know: 1) How to fly the plane you connect with
    2) How to talk to ATC (it's okay to make a lot of mistakes but if you key up with "Yo. I'm Mike. Can anyone hear me?" You'll be in a bit of trouble.)
    3) For IFR flights (you can fly VFR in VATSIM!) you should know how to fly the departure - including reading a different departure to determine if you can fly it.
As ATC trainees they drill into us "This is a teaching environment, be patient with people who are learning."
And if you're ever flying in the Boston area (ZBW ARTCC) let me know. :)

Hi. It really depends of who is watching the video. I for instance can’t follow, even though you speak very clear and are easy to understand, but it looks for me that you’re reading a text and don’t pause to explain what you’re doing. It’s a pity, because I would really like to watch all your videos, but in a slower pace. Thank you anyway.

@@FlightSimSchool in your opinion, do you think you can learn how to fly instrument with the Sim? I’m trying to save some money and practice before I start paying for my instrument rating.

Ah. I’m no pilot, but I would do it the other way around, or you might pick up some bad habits: use flight sim as a training aid for your real training rather than where you start
