04:28 Playthrough times for Megaman games wildly vary. Unless you're only talking about classic megaman like this one. Then it still varies but usually clocks in at about 3 - 4 hours average if you don't suck. 08:55 You know not the terror of the Yellow Devil. He is deceptively simple in his approach. He splits himself apart into globs that travel from one side of the screen to another in the same pattern every time. But they move so fast and hurt so much...And after trying not to miss your window to fire on its eye weakness after it forms on the other side of the room, then it's just going to repeat the pattern over again and you have to go through that pattern once more. It's the same pattern every time and yet it STILL TRIPS US UP! The Yellow Devil is so infamous that Capcom reused the Devil battle concept multiple times in different ways throughout almost the entire series. It even showed up in a spinoff series (technically). 10:46 Missingno is the infamous glitch "pokemon" that you can get in the original pokemon red/blue/yellow games. It looks like a mass of pixels which is why he's referencing it here with the enemies in the tunnel glitching and doing the same occasionally. 14:15 Megaman's name in Japanese is Rockman. And untransformed he's just known as Rock. His sister's name is Roll. His brother's name is Blues. His dog's name is Rush which is a Canadian rock band (though I'm told that was a coincidence). His bird is named Beat. His cat is named Tango. His rival is named Forte (Bass in English). His rival's dog is named Gospel (Treble in English). His rival's bird is named Reggae... Yes they're music references.
So a Rockman (or Megaman game) varies as depending which of the seven series you’re playing but as far as the first series goes it’s pretty short at about 3-4 hours if you’re good. They got longer over time with the second timeline (consisting of the Battle Network and Star Force Series) being the longest in game length being more story driven.
12:36 "Imagine if a game had an achievement for playing the game without getting hit" Hahahahaha, oh it's so funny that you say that. Because there is a game like that. TWO of them in fact, and they both happen to be Mega Man. Both Mega Man 9 and 10 have achievements for getting through the games without taking a single hit and it's much harder than the old NES Mega Man seeing as there's no pause scumming your way through it.
Believe it or not, this video and it series only exists because "Mr. Perfect" is a actual achievement on Megaman 10 or 11, I can't remember witch one LOL 😅
MegaMan/Rockman for NES/Famicom were among the best game series on that console. Sadly, a few of the titles in that series were never released in the U.S. and were only available in Japan. The gameplay, the graphics, the weapon system and stage selection strategy, and of course the music(the music of 2 and 3 especially is absolutely timeless) gave MegaMan such a legendary status. I'm kicking myself in the brain for not picking up all the RockMan Famicom cartridges on eBay for like $90 a couple years back, as I have a Superjoy III game emulator controller with a slot made for Famicom games built into it, and playing the sequels that weren't released on NES in America still remains on my bucket list. Off subject, only a handful of NES games had music on par with RockMan/Megaman 2 & 3... including: Batman, Super Mario Bros 3, G.I.J.O.E. Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy(1, 2 & 3 I think), and maybe Rad Racer, just to name a few off the top of my head... though I suppose it's a matter of opinion. Okay, I'm done rambling...and I'm not even drunk!
Ok, I'm gonna get you up to date as a life long Mega Man fan! I grew up with this series being 37 years old as of this January 10th and the series being 35 years old. So yeah, also fun extra fact. I dressed up as the Blue Bomber here when I was 5 for Halloween and so did my son who is now 8. Now moving on. The first 6 games are relatively simple, you want to play the second game on Difficult difficulty and most of the rest are straight forward. I'd say out of the original series the 8th game is probably the most difficult all the way up to 11 which came out for the 30th anniversary. On top of that there are the Power Fighters and Power Battles which are side games that play out like a Street Fighter clone and Mega Man and Bass which is a side story thats the same timeframe as Mega Man 8. Then there is the X series which is 100-200 years later and stars the successor to Mega Man known simply as X and his best buddy Zero who ironically was created by the villain of the original series Dr. Wily. There are 8 games in that series with a RPG side story called Command Mission. The next series is the Zero and ZX series which are centuries after the X series and star the prior character Zero for 4 games and then the ZX games which have one of two main characters who transform into MegaMen in each one. Thats a little more complicated. The next in the original universe and the end of the time line are the Legends games which are 3D platformers, this is an undefined amount of time after ZX. Ok, now that we are done with the original timeline lets touch on Battle Network. Its a separate timeline where you play as a character named Lan who has the NetNavi Megaman (think virtual assistant) NetNavis have built in antivirus software and fight viruses and each other with said software combined with battle chips which you collect in game. So yeah, think a card collecting RPG combined with some field movement. This goes for about 7 games with 3 of them having pokemon like splits between them. This is followed by the Starforce series which is the same concept as Battle Network just in radio waves instead of through the internet. That didn't last nearly as long. Most of the games you can play through their legacy collections if you are interested which are on about every platform currently active and even some that are inactive now. Battle Networks collections come out this year, The Legends series you are plum out of luck for because those are basically stuck on the original Playstation though its only two games....we don't talk about what happened with Legends 3. thats a real sore subject. Any questions?
I remember some of that from death battle I just think it’s really cool that you went as the blue bomber for Halloween as a kid and so did your son years later
Well, at this point, I don't have another multi-paragraph comment in me, so I just want to say. You keep reacting to Gamechamp, and I'll keep watching! The obvious next choice is Rockman 2 Without Getting Hit :)
Since you mentioned speedrunning, if you ever have the time to watch it, FriendlyBaron has a 16 part series that analyzes and compares a speedrun of GTA V to a casual run. Its called "Casual vs Speedrun in GTAV"
Are we doing Megaman? I highly suggest Ranking All 200+ Mega Man Robots | Unraveled. It's fantastic and gives a crash course to the different (and not so different) Robots in the franchise.
7:52 So that's what happened to Sonic for hire 7. Sucks about the block, it's like making a wheel then some caveman comes back from the dead to sue you.
@@theduckgoesmoo Well I guess we can count that a win?? I don't know. Does this mean that the reaction will be up as I always like watching everyone's reaction to the final episode of Season 7 of Sonic for Hire, as that was the ending that we were stuck with for the next 6-7 years before Season 8 came out.
Honestly you should check out Roahmmythril's channel. He's done the first 10 Mega Man games (plus Mega Man World V and Wily Tower) with no damage AND with no special weapons (unless absolutely necessary). Only difference is he does one video per stage, not one straight shot like Gamechamp here.
it usually takes a few hours to beat megaman games (rockman) sometimes it takes longer (if you suck) but speed runners can usually beat most games in an hour or sometimes under an hour.
Megaman ended up getting achievements later on in the series and boy were they unkind Mega man 9: beat the game without dying, Hard but possible considering its among the hardest games Mega Man 10: Beat the game without getting hit, yeah maybe no thanks
GameChamp does the most insane challenges some of the biggest challenges r his Without challenges especially Smash Bros Ultimate without Spirits because Spirits hell u in the game but GameChamp decided not to use any at all also the Rockman games r the hardest challenges because of how u need to do it in almost 1 sitting which can take hours and there r a few games that have the achievement don't get hurt in certain areas just not the whole game
It's not called "Cheating", it's called "Unfair Advantage"
luckily those robots are not programmed to care.

Mega Man 10, but IIRC it appears in 9 and 11 as well.
Although THERE, you're actually allowed to savescum to pull it off. Nothing of the sort here though!

How many days do I have to request "Good Enough Summary of Kingdom Hearts" by Barry until you do that triolgy?
You should react to Quirked up Operator Goated with the SWAWS by Russian badger.

I agree.
Roahm has a great channel and a wonderful personality to boot.
I hope you continue to react to the 2nd Megaman from Gamechamp😁
Her entire VGmyths playlist is worth reacting to
finally, some good gamechamp reaction content
Apparently this is uncommon

Can you do a reaction Meaty Jesus's video "can you beat Sonic Heroes without jumping"?

It's not cheating if it's a mechanic of the game 🤷🏻
6:13 that's in Metroid
So duck, would you play this game
you made that joke about a game having an achievement for beating it without getting hit but megaman 9 and 10 both have achievements for that.
It's not cheating it's just being able to stop time way earlier than we get the power up for
❤️
Bye the Way

If it’s originally in the game, is it really cheating?
Nope especially if it’s against the game itself
