I still find myself humming the music from this game at age 32, and I haven't played the game in 20 years easy. I guess I spent too many long car rides playing the game on my GB with earphones in!
Nice to go back down Nostalgia Boulevard, seeing this game again. Even if it DID make me rage-quit a LOT as a kid. AND I had to find everything the hard way. No Internet or reference guides.
you all prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Chris Miles thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This sequel improved a lot what the previous game have done, as to be expected by being the equivalent of his country version but in gameboy (Land series), again the duration of the game is impressive and its controls improved (including the camera). This time I did have a lot of fun playing this game, plus it's challenging at advanced levels.
@@rainbowveil Shortening the game is not equivalent to the other aspects in which this game improved, you can tell by playing them that this one improved things like the control, which is one big factor.
@@Diblu64 I still wonder though why they didn’t add the third world boss..was it because of the games mechanisms or something ? Overall I love this specific game because that’s what I grew up with, didn’t had the chance to play the SNES one first.I played the SNES version thanks to the Wii u some years ago
@@pyroflare7774 Same characters, same worlds (albeit not all of them), same items, same musics, same mechanics. Each DKLn was an adaptation of DKCn, that’s a fact.
@@filipsimanic6466 I know what your saying. The extra levels are there, but they don't have the lost world style background or music. It still is impressive that they were able to fit in extra challenging stages that were in spirit to the lost worlds on SNES, but they had to make a smaller variation of them reusing bayou boogie's sound and backgrounds.
Same here, DKL 2 was really a good version of DKC 2 with same kind of soundtracks and level while DKL 1 was disappointing, good OST but missing all the DKC themes (except the most important one for water levels) and the the level designs were really different once passed the 1st world (remember the levels in the clouds with the flying pigs ? So difficult and unnecessary)
I like that, so it's like more of DKC2 and not exactly the same, just without colours etc. There would be no reason to play it if it was just DKC2 but not as goood
i gotta be honest man, i find it very disappointing that you ignore all the KONG letters. even though the game may think otherwise, i for one can't consider this 100% :(

Same age and I always hmm the gangplank galleon theme! Sidenote: DKL1 was a broken game and I have contempt for it to this day. DKL2 is much better!
Exactly like me 😀
Same way man. Just did it today and came here because of it. Crazy. 36 here. GB pocket black was my first ever console. (Strict parents)
One of the best and best looking Gameboy-Games ever
Another visually impressive title that goes beyond what one could expect from the Game Boy.
Gameboy Pocket was my first handheld and with it came this because my parents knew how big my love for Donkey Kong Country was.
Mine was the Color. I feel like I had an advantage with these games cause the Kongs and enemies were a different colour so it was easier to react.
DK Land but we'll forgive you
Man this games frames/animation is so much smoother than DKL 1. It's night and day.
Not to mention the sound and music.
Huge step up.

@Chris Miles It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much, you really help me out!
@Colby Deandre happy to help xD
This and DKC2 are my favourite sequel games of the Donkey Kong Country and Land Trilogies!
Bellissimo 😍😍😍 il più bel gioco su game boy insieme a super Mario land 😍😍😍
the title screen music alone sounds AMAZING

How the sequel improved the game ? They merged world 2 and 3 together just to skip one boss. That’s not what improvement looks like..

@@rainbowveil Well tbh idk, i could say it was because of the gameboy capabilities but i don't think so, maybe it was a design choice.
Thank you. I can finally die in peace knowing that I beat this
You Ran Reached The Top Floor In Hunter Mode! - 2:54
this game is now on switch online
Great music
how many save states did you have to load to do this
I played the efffff out of this game when I was grounded on my game boy pocket ! The quality of games back then man
Floor 25 (Final Boss Ghost) 01:55:31
1:38:12 I have always loved that kleaver goes with the music
44:44 Bramble Blast
A real banger! 🎶
I loved this game as a kid it was awesome!
It is bonkers they fit that this game into a GB. Of course not as beautiful looking/sounding but more than suitable for fans of the SNES one.
What the hell happened to rare. Sega and rare. Biggest tragedies in gaming!
My first Gameboy game. One hell of a game
This was a very good port of the SNES, much more than DKL1 or DKL3. Musics and sprites are very nice.
Sorry to break it to you but DKL1 was not a port of DKC1, it was it's own game
@@pyroflare7774 and a very good one at that
@@pyroflare7774 not more than DKL3. They all had adaptations tricks and modifications.

Isso e nostalgia!
Thanks.
Right when the intosong started!
Realmente!
I also realized that This version dosen 't have secret levéls which should have been added.
If you're talking about the Lost World levels, they're still here. You just have to wait until the end of the game this time. Starts at 1:41:08
Their just normal levels

oof. snakey chanty is in the game, but doesnt play in the level it's supposed to.
1:26:14
:')
the music is awesome
1:29:20 One of my fav levels, Toxic Tower.
How do you use the web platform with Squitter?
press select after firing the regular web
Never had a SNES when I was a kid, only a GameBoy so I grew up playing this version of Donkey Kong Country 2, Land 2 from the GameBoy.

No "Forest Interlude" :(
I'm so impressed how accurate it is to DKC2. They definitely learned how to use the gameboy hardware well huh?
Got to the bumblebee boss and never finished it past that. Always regretted it Good thing I can watch somebody else beat it😊
I like This version but its really différent than the snes version

Just finished it and holy SH$$ is it the hardest game made by Nintendo after the lost levels
1:01:10-1:01:15 Nice 👌
Nintendo Game Boy: Donkey Kong Land 2! Total Time: 01:57:38
*Should have played it on Super Gameboy then would n’t have gone so much trouble creating this video* 💡
First game I played
I started with Pokémon blue
i gotta be honest man, i find it very disappointing that you ignore all the KONG letters. even though the game may think otherwise, i for one can't consider this 100% :(
Can u do better?
Yeah, Sive used it in Pewd's last video
Donkey kong run away in Mario party DS
Lendário joguinho
Dk coin in sqwawks level lava???
Eu tinha o cartucho e troquei pelo do Mario Land 2. Gosto de ambos, mas preferiria ter de volta o DKL 2
I could never play dk1 or 2 on the gb because of the ridiculously short sight range. Otherwise they are decent attempts at making them for the gb.
Chega a ser irritante a música de 8bits do jogo ... muito poluída, mas era o que tinha na época!
Poyraz toya land 2
My favorite game is way better than donkey kong jr
