Oh my God! Minty has eyes!!!!!!!!
This movie has the BEST characterization & ending of the franchise! I LOVE the part where they reveal the running gag of "Junior" to be Indy's name & he embraces being "Junior". Then the music just at its peak as the foursome ride off into the sunset. Perfect ending to the series, or it would have been. And John Williams's score was amazing (as always).

I remember going to the movie theater with my father, to see Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Talking about relationships between fathers and sons, we haven't had the best relationship, and haven't seen or spoken to each other for the better part of 20 years now. I don't have many moments or memories that bring a smile to my face, in regards to my father... But, watching this film in the theater, just he and I, always brings a smile to my face. It was rare that I got a chance to spend time with him alone, usually time spent with him also included my older brother and younger sister. So just the two of us, watching this movie and getting a kick out of seeing Indy on another quest will always have a special place in my heart.

I don't know the details obviously, but it is never too late to bridge gaps created in life.. Pride can lead us on a path that we may ultimately regret when the chance to mend past differences has gone.
I am a father and there isn't a day that goes past that I do not wish my children would simply send me a text saying how they are, but all I can do is wait and hope that they become wise enough to realise that holding onto bitterness is defeating. You don't have to make him part of your life everyday, and he may not deserve it, but I bet he feels the same way.

Completely agree on "Crusade" being a film that is better appreciated with time, as when you're young the father-son dynamic completely flies over your head, and it's that dynamic the one that makes this movie truly special.

This has been my personal favourite of all the original trilogy (I don't bother counting the ridiculous Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). The chemistry between Sean Connery & Harrison Ford is really what sells this movie. Although it is an hour before he appears, but when he does he literally steals every scene he is in. Although back in 1989 Batman was the No.1 movie domestically in the US, Last Crusade was the number one movie internationally. It is still hugely rewatchhable.

I was 16 when it was released and it was during the exams.
So a classmate went to see it and was raving and hinting. And I do wanted to see it. But then we went on holiday etc. I finally got to see it on august 10th 1990 (it was released in May 1990 in NL). And I loved it! I always adored temple of doom, but this instantly became my favorite. There are so many clever and well shit action sequences. You are really falling from one action and location into the next. The humor is more present and also emotion. And I remember the feeling when Indy went over the cliff! And Sean is looking over with Brody and Shalah. I felt really sad! My mind was racing: “Who would kill off Indy?” And I guess the whole theater went quite but I remember the roar of the audience when he climbed up!
And then moments later the disbelief that Dr Jones Senior now gets shot!
Man! Such a great adventure movie, the best out there!

First I have to say, that I really like your outfit for this video. 👍👍 This is my favorite Indy film for many of the reasons that you stated, about how great it is. Upon seeing Sean Connery, there’s the instant connection to Bond. Then you mentioned that he added scenes for his character and the humor is fantastic!! When in the castle and Indy grabs the gun and shoots the Nazis, Connery’s shocked expression (by that violence) is so funny- - then he adds ”Look what you did!!” Oh yes, when Connery is shooting at the other plane and disables theirs - - another hoot (Bond wouldn’t ever do THAT). A very favorite scene (I bet for others too) is when Indy tosses the Nazi out of the air ballon window and yells “No ticket”. Everyone grabs their tickets and waves them at him. 😆

the films of the 1980s into the late 1990s are the next generation of Hollywood Classics hands down!
Oh yes I’m proudly biased here bc I’m a kid of mid 80s and teen of mid-late 90s.
My parents were moviegoers and VHS owners.. as well as my extended family members who were into film direction, scriptwriting and production during the late 60s into the 80s. My siblings and I had access to the family owned video stores from ‘87-94 and sometimes movie theaters free passes with family members. New York City & The Hamptons of Long Island TV & film Hollywood Elites movie screenings were fun but as kids we loved the movie stars and directors. 1988-1991 was so electric for new movies back to back~ gen x’ers & us millennials were spoiled indeed 😁
