Solo travel to Seoul | Requirements, Swab test and essentials! 🇰🇷 🇵🇭

- Hey guys! Join me in my 8 days adventure in Seoul! I am traveling alone and will be visiting cafes, restaurants, streetfood and BTS’ tourist spots/building in the next following days.
In this vlog, I will walk you through what I did after landing in Seoul.
This is my Day 1 out of 8.
Requirements:
1. Tourist Visa (I already had multiple entry issued before the pandemic but you can check the korean website to see what are the requirements.)
2. Q-CODE
this is where you will upload all of the following and this will generate a code that will be scanned upon arrival.
register here (cov19ent.kdca....)
a. Negative RT- PCR (48 hours before DEPARTURE DATE)
or Negative Antigen test (24 hours before)
b. Hotel details
c. Flight ticket
** I got a rapid test for around 550 pesos.
** Vaccination certificate is not mandatory. You can enter Korea regardless of you vaccination status.
** They did not require nor ask for travel insurance. I bought one just to be sure.
** Prepare hand printed copies of everything to be safe. The airport in the PH asked for a printed copy of my swab test.
** You will need you vaxcert when GOING HOME to the Philippines. If you are not boosted, you will need to take another swab before going home.
3. Immigration
this is where you will pass your TRAVEL CARD. It contains information about your hotel. The FAs in your plane will provide this.
4. SWAB Test ( After arrival in Seoul)
this is different from the swab test in the PH. You can book here (safe2gopass.com/)
80,000 Korean Won. You can pay via Credit card or Cash.
Results will be available after a few hours. You dont need to wait, you can go to your hotel once done and they will just email the results.
Buy at the airport:
1. Wifi / Simcard
2. T-money (transportation card)
3. AREX (airport railroad express tickets going to Seoul)
That’s it! Enjoy Seoul!

I booked kasi 2 days prior ng flight kasi biglaan so yan na lang available and it was the cheapest at the time pero nice naman ang location and ang room

Yup!! na receive ko na via email ang result. Mabilis lang mga 1-2hrs after ng swab
What was the name of the hostel in Myeongdong where you stayed in? What airline did you use going there?

Hi! No na since im fully vaccinated and boosted. From what i read, if hindi ka naka atleast 1 booster, you have to take rtpcr upon arrival sa ph.

Pocket wifi kasi I’m also using it for my laptop for work though yung hotel meron naman, good for backup lang 😁

@@gensalido18 yay fellow army!! Yung sa klook hanapin niyo po yung my incheon airport pick up. Check niyo sa flight details niyo if lapag niyo is terminal 1 or 2 para ma set niyo din pick up location ng wifi. Paglabas agad sa baggage pick up, nandon na yung mga pick up stalls ng wifi.

I'm arriving in Seoul in 3 weeks. Is the Q-CODE mandatory? I'm having problems submitting my info online.
They had a separate line for those who were not able to make a QR code and you need to present physical copies of these requirements so im assuming that it’s ok even if u were not able to register in the qcode. Downside is that you have to line up, print everything and fill up the forms manually upon arrival. It would take more time though
I believe in order to submit the Q Code registration you need a COVID test that’s no older than 48 hours so that may be why you may be having some issues.
