The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 both Gen 1 and Gen 2 will also shut off when you turn off your Xbox. I never turn off the headset, I just let the console turn them off. They go off about the same time you notice the light on the controller go out. You can even boot up the Xbox by turning on the headset first instead of the controller. I just tested that on my Gen 2 to make sure they still do that. I knew the Gen 1 did for sure and yes the Gen 2 also do it. I am pretty sure that this is because they sync with the console the same way a controller does.

Also if you connect them to your phone they will be connected to both at the same time and if your playing and get a phone call you can answer the call while you still gaming which is a great feature.

The exact 2 headsets I was looking to compare. Luckily my best friend gave me the Turtle Beach 600s for $50, but I think it may be time to upgrade. Thanks for the review!

I really like the look of these and the ps5 ones. Traditional gaming headsets just don't look aesthetically pleasing to me. I know it shouldn't bother me but it does

I have an stealth 600 G2 but for ps4 and i didn't like how it felt on my head, so i got the xbox. It can connect to my phone through bluetooth, the stealth 600 cannot.

I haven't specifically played a game looking to hear footsteps, but both provide good surround sound, I personally like the Xbox ones better

Thanks for the review. If you mind me asking, how is the volume? Do they get very loud? I've been looking at the wired BlackShark V2 but watching your review makes me wonder if I am making the right decision.
I dont know about Blacksharks, but just last night I was turning my Microsoft ones down because they were TOO loud, I like how you can easily change the mixing just by turning a knob too

Looks cool, as a glasses-wearer big headphone cans that squeeze the ears are a no-go because I’m also squeezing my frames against my head which gets pretty sore after awhile. The fact that these have pads that are super soft seem to be set up to reduce that effect.

I thort the Xbox official headphones was way too tight on my ears 👂 lol. My sound was also either way too loud or way too quite. And all my friends said I was talking really quite. I actually prefer my old gen 1 600s lol. Why don’t mine sound that good straight out the box Is it because i need the Dolby app on my Xbox?
Im not sure, you can adjust each earpiece for the tightness, and the Xbox accessories app let's you adjust anything you can think of. Also for the loud/quiet thing, remember the right earpiece is for volume and the left is what shifts the balance from chat/game volume

Nice video man, thank you. Just out of curiosity, did you find that the xbox headset was able to pick up on footsteps better than TB, even if you had super human hearing on?
The quality to me anyway is noticeably better than TB in every way, especially because you can tweak all of the levels to your liking
I play warzone almost everyday and the turtle beach is better, the superhuman sound takes out all the bass and noises so you can hear footsteps better .

I dont know anything about the Rig 400LX, but I use these xbox ones everyday still and they are great
I’ve read reviews about the turtle beach stealth 600 gen 2 headset on Amazon where the extension part will easily snap off because of its cheap plastic material, I’ve also read that the durability last a few weeks or months and they only break because people putting on the headset or taking it off their heads.

I prefer the Xbox one over the turtle Beach headphones myself both sound and mic quality
The PlayStation mic is the best in it's price range without a doubt, and has more features but I recommend the 700s with the cooling gel and the app.
i think turtle beach 700 gen 2 vs xbox wireless headset would have been better then turtle beach 600 gen 2.

So I had my microsft wireless headset for a year. the ear pads started to tear the left volume know just came off its now stuck together with tape .and no option to turn the game chat or party chat up or down did I like them yes. Luckily I had a 3 year warranty and the company I got them with sent me out a pear of turtle beach stealth 600 gen 2 usb and I'm looking forward to using them.
Dang that blows, I've used mine damn near every day since getting em and they are still like new....
The only thing about the Xbox headset they nailed it just the mic seems to snap easily I had two of them

Before I bought the Stealth 700 gen 2 max , I was thinking real hard about getting these but I was sold on the multi-platform compatibility of the MAX because I do plan on getting a PS5 one day.

I've only had my stealth 600s for a month and I already know which volume control is which, I pretty much remembered 10 minutes after using them 🤣
In the heat of the moment I swear I ALWAYS used the wrong one
Did the mic monitoring improve on these yet? I am torn between TB 600s or these, but everyone has been saying you still can’t hear yourself!
I never messed around mich with that as I've never head a problem in hearing myself with them

I'm told the mic monitoring has improved a bit. I didn't have the headset from when it was first released to compare. I just keep the mic monitoring on highest setting and I can hear myself (and background noise) as intended. I hope they continue to improve the settings/features via updates. I think it could use maybe one more level of mic monitoring or at least tweak what's already there. The auto mic-mute works pretty good too.
I use them on the PlayStation and they work fine without me updating the headset.
Turtle beech does that as well as turning of and on the x box
ok i have the stealth 600 g2 but i have a xbox 1 s and it wont pair and i got it from my birthday today i need help
I think you just pair it with the button on the front of the console like you would a controller

I dont know what to say, I just followed the instructions and it worked for me. Bummer you're having issues

Is the mic monitoring better with the update? All the original reviews say you can’t hear yourself!
@@mdoucette45 it just depends if you have the volume on max then you won't hear yourself to much. But i keep mine about 60 70 percent high and you can hear everything great, good bass hear the music and people talking and yes yourself as well, you can tweak the settings to your liking it's one of the best compatible headsets for xbox in my opinion most other headsets require a pc to update firmware and I do not have that so this was best for me and I'm very happy with it. Hoped that helped if you have more questions I'll be happy to help
I’ve always thought turtle beach headphones were uncomfortable.
I liked the old set I had for my Xbox 360, and my recent wired ones were ok, but these newer ones were too stiff

I'm considering buying the xbox wireless because I have a pair of turtle beach but the headset band snapped at the adjusting part. I wasn't rough with them or anything they just decided to break in half. Which is ridiculous because why use cheap thin plastic for one of the more crucial parts of the headset

@@BlipsnPips had them; didn't like at all. Sounded trash out the box and even when tweaking the eq for hours and copying other people's eq settings. Everything just sounded like I was underwater
