Great video Bill coming together, can’t wait to see it 🏁🏁🏁
Getting closer
Looking good, Bill!
That is so awesome, brother. Great progress on such an incredible looking car.
Thank you. It's slow going, but worth it
@flatbrokegarage big time, but definitely worth it.
Been so looking forward to this, watching NOW I'll be back at the end 😊
Awesome looking forward to seeing more, the sound deadner on the floors, you can put that on the inside of ya front doors, Bill trust me it makes a huge difference doing the doors, nice sound when they shut, plus less road noise inside, you can do the rear quater panels also, wish I lived closer would love to help ya, ok till next time have a great Weekend 👊😊
Cheers 🍺🍻KC 🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸😎👍✌
Thanks KC! I have a box of deadner left. Going to do the roof as well
To be honest with you we were concerned this project would be put on the back Burner. We know how much work is involved! so far so good!
Baby steps. I have to try to do at least something on it every week
Nice job on the re assembly. The color is stunning !
It's getting there. Thanks
Looking good brother bill! Take your time do it right, do it once. Beautiful car coming together finally. Definitely a process and a journey. I've got a beautiful GTO, but it's not perfect. It is however, perfect for me. Keep up the good work my friend.
Thanks! You car is beautiful, i agreed my car will be what I want. Not what someone will judge for a trophy. I plan to enjoy it.
I wish steele rubber would make new gaskets for the tail lens. Car looks great man, can wait to see it sometime
I got lucky mine are awesome
Glad you got a sponsor. Maybe more to come. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
Wait until Mrs Flatbroke goes out and put the light lenses in the dishwasher they come out like new! 😂
That and the air conditioning vents as well 😆
The car is looking good 👍
The Smurf is looking good
😆 🤣 it's getting there, thanks for following it
I like the blue this car is looking nice, I want to check it out.
Come on by
Awesome work! Great true and true honest car guy work! Coming along nicely. Blessings and respect!
Thanks buddy, it's getting there
Its a bit tricky when you didnt disassemble the car, takes a lot longer to reassemble, totally understand, but wait to you get to the doors window regulators 😊 then the fun begins, dont scratch it😮 still watching, nice you got all new rubbers👍 gaps on the boot lid, quarter panel obviously damage there some time ago, I'd leave it now that its painted IMHO 😊 untrained eyes wont pick it👍
That quarter had been replaced a long time ago. You can tell. It was brazed in. No spot welds
Looking good bill can't wait for more videos
It's coming together. Engine video coming up next
Looks really good! Love the grabber blue. I think if it were me I'd let the chrome alone if it's presentable. I'm also flat broke. I've seen powder coated chrome and to be honest, it looks real good.
I've started looking into going that direction.
That Torino sure is looking pretty. It's moving along pretty fast now. Can't wait to see it in person. I forgot how much Ford liked to make the top of the gas tank the trunk floor on their cars in the '60s and '70s. The chrome is a tough one. If the chrome is too beat up it'll look terrible on a freshly painted car. Do they repop them? The hood side moldings on my dad's '46 panel were very expensive to rechrome, like 4x the price of the repros. I'm with you on the black weatherstrip adhesive vs.the ugly ass yellow.
I wish they did the repop on those, I may just live with them for now.
Cool Torino…
Thanks!
Nice.
With that rear panel piece Bill. Have they got a rubber washer or do you use a bit of caulking compound or a dab of black selastic. To keep the water out. 👍
Thack back glass is glued in. The rear panel slips into a set of hold downs that keep it in place
that gap was most likely like that when it rolled off the line
Your probably right, I've gotten the gap a little better. I'm fine with it now
A play on words.
Build it
And it will run (((((😮
I'm surprised you would do the body then the engine. I've been a mechanic well over thirty years, knowing things could easily go wrong installing a drive train, I would always leave the body for last
I had to jump on the body. Started rusting again. I'm leaving the fenders and hood off till I get the drive train back in. That should help some
Do you body wofk
Yep, I'm just really slow 😆
Show cars are just door stops nobody ever gets to drive for fear of no longer being just being a pretty museum piece. Trailer queens are just useless eye candy
This is far from a show car. I plan on driving the tires off this. I have done Hot Rod Power Tour every year since 09. This will be there. Then passing it to my daughter
Looking good Bill. We need to have a Torino get together with @id10tgarage
Plenty of Torino's between bill and Jeff to have a big get together
We need one
