In my country back in the 90s one guy got stabbed after getting in a fight with the vocalist of some black metal band I can't recall. It was mad.

Maynard isn't really egocentric. that's just rumors from people hes never played, or interacted with because hes antisocial in interviews. If you listen to what his band mates say about him, they never have a bad word to say, that I've seen. You can't help create and front 2 legendary bands with top musicians and be a egocentric asshole. Axl Rose is prime example of that. Ego big as Jupiter, talented as hell, but done nothing outside of GnR, and GnR hasn't really been relevant since the 80's.

Ryan Baskett did you see all the stuff with Randy Blythe when he was accused of throwing a fan off the stage and killing him? He was acquitted in the end but he spent time in a prison in a foreign country and there for a bit it seemed like he was never going to get a fair trial and was just going to be kept.

@@lucasneuhaus6570 Sorry for replying to an old message, I just want to point out that USA did not cooperate with the investigation at all, so when Blythe came back, that was why he was taken into custody and was not released considering flight risk.
Yes, it was messy with all the pre-trial bail appeals etc., but he was indicted for manslaughter, he is a foreigner and USA already shown they won't cooperate - prosecutor wanted to be sure he stays here. He was released about five weeks later and to his credit, he came back for the trial.
In the end it was a fair trial, he was acquitted. Morally throwing the fan off was wrong, but criminally he was not responsible for the fans death. Most of the blame lied with security and promoters. Appeal court upheld this verdict.

The appeal is that they have great live shows, catchy metal songs with great songwriting about taboo topics to show the things people like to forget but shouldn't. I've been growing up with them and to be honest I don't think that this "quarter german" has something to say because I also know many germans who don't like them. It's a matter of taste in the end I guess ;) Good evening!

It depends. Some bands are fine with people getting on stage and jumping off to stagedive. But you really shouldn't interfere with the band members, and when they ask you to leave, get the fuck out.

Dead End yeah I’m sure most bands are uncomfortable because of previous incidents that have happened on stage.
Dead End but no matter the band or situation, if you get on stage and act like an ahole and interfere with the performance or get aggressive with the band members, you are just begging to get f’d up 🤣my ex husband and I were together for 13 years. He was the lead singer and played bass in a death metal band for 15 years, but they have since dissolved. But years ago, in like 2002, this guy who used to date the drummer’s sister was at one of the shows. He was pissed at the drummer over some crap that happened when the sister and he were together, and so three songs into their set, he suddenly got on stage and went at the drummer by trying to turn a huge Marshall half stack over on top of him, in the middle of the show!! As the drummer’s sister saw this, she jumped up there and started smacking him and hitting him in the back and the back of the head. The ex boyfriend’s NEW girlfriend then dragged her off stage and THEY started going at it! Again, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOW! Of course the band jumped in to defend their drummer. My ex husband took his bass off and punched the guy right in the face and broke his nose, because he kept lunging at him and assaulted him by throwing a head-stack at him, and was destroying some of the drums and equipment. The two women were ripping each other’s hair out right in front of the stage. After my ex, who was always a good front man😉, took the ahole on stage down by punching him dead in the face; broke his nose and knocked out two teeth. The f’er didn’t get up again but laid on the stage floor crying, cussing, screaming...and bleeding; the brother and sister’s Mom (who was also at the show-they were really cool people I loved them to death), and the brother were trying to pull the two woman apart. The audience was chanting “Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!”. IT WAS INSANE. And me? I was sitting back catching the whole thing on video camera. And the guy who jumped up there and went at the band and their very expensive equipment deserved what he got 💯. The cops came, the band was banned from performing at that venue, no one pressed charges cause it would have been the same charge on both sides, but the band was fined $500 for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor assault. I still have that VHS tape 😂👏👍
