In the past it was used so carelessly and aggressively that I feel it’s just better for us to say ok, we’re gonna refrain from saying this word because it’s disrespectful given our history with it. It doesn’t change the meaning but there’s to much pain and history to be using it so freely. We don’t really have that right. We should respect their wishes.
