I am looking to apply US B2 tourist visa from Chile as I am working and living here. I have an indian passport. The problem here is that on CGI federal website I don’t see an option to choose Chile as country where I will appear for interview. The reason maybe is that Chilean residents don’t require US visa to travel. But what about people like me. Please suggest a solution.

Just put wait times for US visa and whatever city has the embassy and consulate check their wait times…..you can always check the neighbouring country wait times as well

Hello, you need to create a new account in Singapore and start from there. In case it is not letting you create the account, pls transfer the account from India to Sg by contacting the customer support of Singapore embassy

Yes you can apply from Qatar and Dubai it will take 8 months if you have residence visa only

I have two questions to ask.
1st- I have never made any CGI account and directly filled the DS 160 form in India. So do I need to create a CGI FEDERAL ACCOUNT applying from visa interview for another country like Kuala Lumpur.
2nd- I was just filling up the form and saved it I have never paid the fees in India looking at the time frame for dates. So do the Visa officer still will be able to see my form what details I have updated because I never submitted the form or paid the fees.

At one particular time only one account with your passport number can remain active in the cgi federal. So if you booked in Thailand then yes, this account in India will no longer remain valid and that appointment would be null.

Good Day, I am Elanthirayan Indian Nationality. For the last three years I was in the UAE. At that time i applied for a US B1/B2 Visa and the interview is scheduled for 21 June 2023.
Currently I am working in Qatar and I am planning to attend the interview on the interview date after completing my interview the same day I will return to Qatar for work.
Once I reach Qatar I will send my passport by courier for US embassy for visa stamping is it acceptable.
I am trying to change the Delivery location to Qatar but failed.

You can apply for US visa still being on a tourist visa..Post interview it will take 2-3 days max to get it stamped. I got it in 2 days. Advise you to select passport pick up option as you never know how long they would take to send it through post..! So obviously till you get back your passport you need to be in that city..Better keep buffer days..Hope it helps :)
