7:30 pm Mexico time Thank you so so much for sharing you art and expertise. After watching your video, I really want to give it a try. I loved your fiber art. Thank you
This is quite possibly the coolest Macrame I've ever seen. I am SO MOTIVATED to try this. Thank you for your creativity and for sharing how you did it!!
You are so talented! Just bought the supplies to try to make this. Read through all the comments, and your replies to cord width all say 3mm except one says 4mm. I ordered 3mm…little worried it looks too thin. I know it’s been a while, but any chance you can confirm whether you used 3mm or 4mm for this piece? Thx!! 🏔️
Thanks so much for sharing! I started my own a couple days ago and have been using a sponge brush but the dye drips and runs so fast. I’m going to try a regular paint brush to try to help control how much product I’m applying. I really appreciate you sharing! 🤍
I’ve been away from UA-cam doing photography and feel so bad I haven’t seen this til now I am so sorry! I plan to work photography and more tutorial into my UA-cam
The beginning of the video appears to show “dark green” by RIT. With this dye, you mix water and dye to get different tones. She likely made three bowls of dye and added more water for the lighter shades
I mix bleach and water and soak for about 3 days and let sit out til dry maybe a week. I think it makes the wood look really neat and kills and parasites.
assuming this is fabric dye... i wanted to ask, if it needs to be washed before hanging it up.. as it may stain a white wall if left as a wall hanging for long.
Yes I used fabric dye and I have never washed any of my macrame I dyed and hang on white walls and have never had issues. I dyed my other one black and it’s been hanging for about 6 months with no residue on the walls. I do let them dry atleast 24 hours before hanging. I’m not sure if I am doing it right but from my experience so far it as never caused an issue
Yes it was 3’ wide by 2’ long macrame not including wood. I used rit dye and diluted and made three shades . You can also use diluted acrylic paints with water
Did you dilute the rit dye with water? I tried following you on the link supplied and just got a bunch of random links on any subject.. ? I’d like to see more of your work ❤️
@@DIYMama93 One more question please, was the Rit Dye you used made specifically for cotton material or does the bottle say synthetic? Thanks in advance!
Yes you do follow the directions. I used hot hot water and soap. I separated it in 3 bowls and mixed 3 shades by just adding more concentrate to the darker ones and hand painted
I don't have any place to get sturdy branches. So I purchase walking sticks and sand the sealer off so it's not shiny. I pay about $6 for them from a local Hamrick's store. They have the price of $12 on them, but so far, every time I've purchased them, they are 50% off. Thanks for showing how to "paint" the dye on. I wondered how this was done and thanks to you, I know! Have you done one in several different colors? I would like to see your procedure 🤗. SKD 🦋
Very nice work

Thanks for the video, is it 4mm or 5mm cord you are using?
This was 3mm!
This is 3mm !
Would love a list of materials (including total amount of cord!) new to this whole macrame thing 😊. And you put it was 3mm cord?
Yes I used 3mm cord and let me see if I can get a list together for you
Hello DIY mama! Thank you for the idea! May I ask what are the 3 colours you used? I hope to achieve the exact (or as close as possible) result haha❤
@@DIYMama93I also liked to know the color you used and the brands ❤

What are the colours that you used please? Beautiful
I used only 1 color it was the hunter green color in rit dye and I diluted with water to change shades
This is so pretty! How do you bleach the wood? And is that necessary for longevity or did you just want a lighter color?
I mix bleach and water and soak for about 3 days and let sit out til dry maybe a week. I think it makes the wood look really neat and kills and parasites.

Wow really beautiful , I must try this amazing macrame art,I love your creativity.More tutorials please.
Can you please include the dimensions of the final product and details as to how much macrame and size you used along with paint colors? Thank you!!

So sorry for your lost info. Can’t imagine the heartbreak.. but so glad I found this as it’s so beautiful ❤️
so pretty. may I know the cord size?
4mm thank you so much!!
I made a macramé wallhanging that refuses to lay flat. Can you recommed something I can use to stiffen or "block" the whole project? Thank you!
They make fabric stiff spray. I wonder if that helps?
@@DIYMama93 You mean like spray starch?
Gratidão
I really like this!! Did you wet the macrame cord first? Oh yeah, and what size cord?
Thank you so much! No I didn’t wet it and I used 3mm cord for this one! ❤️
@@DIYMama93 Thank you!!

What paint did u use..? It’s so inspiring me 😍😍
I used RIT fabric dye ❤️ thank you so much
I apologize if this was asked and answered already. I looked through the comments and didn’t see it. Was this 3mm single ply or 3 ply twisted cording?
It’s 3mm single
Strand
Thank you for sharing! What size of mm cord did you use? What size is this hanging when done? Thanks
I used 3mm and it was 3’ wide by 2 ‘ long ❤️
Amei !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so confused 😫 do you follow any of the directions on the RIT bottle? Or do you just use room temp water and make 3 shades?
Yes you do follow the directions. I used hot hot water and soap.
I separated it in 3 bowls and mixed 3 shades by just adding more concentrate to the darker ones and hand painted
How much soap did you use ?
Can you provide link to the cord you used
Do you know what levels of concentrate each shade was?
I just tested it on extra syringe
Where did you get the piece of wood you hung this on?
I live by a nearby creak and every so often I go and collect drift wood and bleach them! ❤️

How much did it cost to make this?
I bought one big roll for $85 or so but that makes multiple
Is the cord wet before you started painting
No it wasn’t!
What color is the cord?
I believe it’s just natural ivory
How did you color? Is it due or paint?
The color is rit dye but you can also use diluted acrylic paints!
How can I used acrylic paint? Need to dilute?
Hiii can you make BTS logo small wall hanging and keychain please
