    I mounted the rear camera on the top of the licence plate light with the 3M adhesive and the front camera under the middle of the headlight. Routed the front camera and remote cabling under the middle cowling and under the seat to the trunk. The rear camera cabling went around the bottom of the trunk and into the hole where the grommet was. All cabling was connected in the trunk and the power cabling was connected to the Pathfinder power hub. Everything works well and is solid. No need to cut or drill into anything. I also mounted the remote to the right side of the center console.

    My dad had an accident where a lady swerved infront of him and he didn't have a long enough path to brake.. Lady said she was already in the lane 300 meters before he crashed into her back which is obviously bs, but it's word against word - no other witneses, no one even stopped to help my dad laying unconscious on the road. I feel like a lot of people lost their decency in a sense of not admitting to being wrong/doing something wrong. My dad said himself after the crash, that he doesn't care about the money he'll have to spend on new gear and a bike, but that the lady lied. (If she had told the truth, the outcome would have been the same, maybe he would have gotten some money from the insurance, but nothing major).
    If you read the whole thing - First day i drove him back home from the hospital, he sat down at the computer and started ordering new gear. I think he's going to be fine :d
    Thank you for making videos like this. Hopefully we can prevent nasty accidents like these with the cameras.

    I've been running the INNOVV K5 dash cam on my Goldwing for a few years. The dash cam was a big help when a car ran a red light. The cam showed my green light and there was no issues with the cars insurance company at who was at fault. I also run dash cams in my car it might be that I'm in SoCal and the traffic out here is...well different than other places I've been to in this country so I've learned it is needed. But like you placement of the front and rear cameras took some thought. I managed to install the cameras without having to drill holes into the plastic; that 3M double sided tape is some good stuff.

    In today’s highly litigious society. Front and Rear cameras are a really good/great idea. Nice job Cruise. If you decide to stick with this particular system, please let us know where you end up installing the rear camera and any other details learned, and then of course a long term review. Appreciate the content.

      It would definitely need to be higher up. If I hook up my trailer, I would not be able to see anything. Plus, it is going to get a lot of road grime where it is right now.

    Hi, Question; how is the front lens holding up? (bugs, sand, rocks can easily damage it?)
    2024 feb; Just got one for about $300us For me, the unit seems more worth like $200us something.
    CONS;
    -Regarding the memory card; Vantrue uses the FAT32 format, which is not secure and very old fashioned and limits files to 4GB and windows made partitions to 32GB. You can use micro SD card up to 512GB though. (512GB records about 28h of video (per minute; FRONT 4K=233MB and REAR 1080=74MB; together 307MB per minute))
    -VLC player would NOT play any of the .MP4 files because of HVC1 video format. Win media player has no problems.
    -Rear camera cable could be a bit longer. Front camera cable is a fragile high speed data coax cable.
    -CPU unit is not really waterproof and a USB-C connection would be better than WIFI to your phone/laptop. (Who wants to watch the video stream while driving ???)
    -Feedback voice is a very annoying Chinese English tone with bad grammar
    -Camera's seem nice and solid, control box less so; very plastic-y
    -System has a 2 amp fuse; so uses about 25Watt, which is quite a LOT !! The front 4K camera and especially the CPU block gets a bit warm.
    For me; Video quality and anti vibration are good.
    In all; OK-ish.
    Thanks for your review!

    Great video again Cruiseman. Maybe i missed something, but was this system designed and built specifically for motorcycles, or is it for other vehicles too? I ask because the length of cables would likely be longer to connect cameras from one end to the other on a car, and you didnt cut any besides the power connections. Also, some guys have multiple bikes, would there be a conflict connecting more than one system to your phone if you had 2 or more systems installed on various bikes?

  • @richardspencer4617
    @richardspencer4617 10 місяців тому +3

    Although I ride a 2011 BMW R1200RT, I enjoy watching your videos (at 5'3" I'm too vertically challenged to ride a GW). I have had the INNOVV K3 system on my bike for a couple years. The remote control seems a little more "installation friendly" than the F1. For reviewing videos, a third-party app, such as Dashcam Viewer installed on a PC or laptop is really nice. You simply copy the video files from a particular trip into a folder (e.g., by date) on the PC. When you run the viewer, it superimposes your trip onto a Google or Mapquest map. You can then click on any spot on the trip and it takes you right there. It also displays the trip data in various formats.

    • @Booboosik
      @Booboosik 7 місяців тому

      But in case of a crash your insurance company will want raw files. However, they will be unable to open them because their tech department is none existent. So, any camera that does not write true video files, will have your insurance company just shake their shoulders and ignore your video proof.

    Cruise man, my name is Danny White and I live in Rayford North Carolina which is not too far from Fayetteville North Carolina or Fort Bragg. I watch your videos all the time. I saw your video on you installing your camera on your motorcycle. I had a motorcycle accident also. I was riding my Honda VTX1800r when a lady rear-ended me at a stop sign, She told the state trooper that she saw me but she thought I was gone and I was waiting for a vehicle to go by. I had a camera system that I had installed on it. I took the camera off my VTX and installed it on my 2018 Honda Goldwing and you said that you wanted some pictures so I'm sending you my pictures. I know you said that you didn’t wont to install your rear camera where I put mine but it worked out good and my front camera is centered on my upper fairing below my lights. Also on my camera it looks like it's all scratched up but it's not I left the protective film on my screen, I really need to remove it, but it’s ok for now because I plan on replacing my camera system with the new Vantrue F1 system that you installed on your Goldwing. 0:32

    Its a nice system, but I wouldnt use it simply for the substantial amount of real estate required for all of that hardware / circuitry.
    I think Ill be going with the system I have in my car / truck, it has very similar features, however with blue tooth connectivity and a simple power cord is all thats needed.

    I purchased the Vantrue for my 2009 Royal Venture and had to "adjust" to place it under the seat. The video is perfect and I love the ease of setting it up. However! I was enjoying my Freedconn helmet R3 and now I can't use the video on my helmet! What did I do wrong? I realize they connect on different wifi, but surely my Freedconn should at minimal video. I have reset Ventrue and Freedconn and am slowly realizing I may never enjoy my helmet cam again. Is there something I'm missing? The wifi for the Freedconn connects, but it cannot connect to the app. My dash cam is working great! HELP!!!

      I have a 2023 DCT Tour. All of the cables for the power, front camera and remote are long enough to reach the trunk. There is a grommet on the left front corner of the trunk, so you don't have to drill any holes.

    • @danaszalajeski4416
      @danaszalajeski4416 10 місяців тому

      @@waynebasso3791 thanks for pointing this fact out to me. However with my system, the front camera cable, the way I routed it down the right side of the bike, would not reach that grommet. Maybe if the front camera and cable are mounted and routed on the left side, it would be a good option for some.
      However, I personally don’t like that location and drilled my hole closer to the speaker enclosure on the right side, thus making a smaller hole and having the cables tucked out of the way and less likely to have anything interfere with the cables. DVR is mounted above the speaker enclosure with Velcro.
