It is very odd how clinics have different guidelines for the exact same thing. My clinic told me that I should start gently washing my transplanted area at day 3-7 with panthenol spray and baby oil and start rubbing gently at day 8-9 and that all scabs preferable should be rubbed off completely by day 10-11. My scabs started crumbling off at day 6-7 so I had no problem but it is just very confusing when you are having your first transplant when the information is not mutual between clinics/experts. My tip would be to let the scabs be on your head for at least 8 days without putting any effort in towards trying to get it off since your whole scalp will be covered by a big layer of scab for healing, the scab will start to split and shed a little when it is ready to come off and you can pour water on to your head to make the scab dry up in between your daily wash. I had 4000 grafts done so I had a lot of scab and it was a little painful by the day 5-6 as it started to split but pouring a little water on top of my head made it more manageable as the tight scab loosened up a little. The scab might also create the illusion of your graphs being divided but it is normal because it stretches the skin as i hardens in weird ways, also, you will lose some hair when the scab falls off since they are stuck together but not the follicle itself which will grow new hair when it is time. Do not scratch your head with nails or try to pull scab straight off your head since it might cause some damage if you are unlucky. When it is time; Soak your scabs and gently rub in a circular motion with your fingertips after at least 8 days and it should be fine, you do not need to get rid of it all at once, do a little rubbing on your head every day and the scab will slowly come off, you can rub harder at day 10-11 to get all scab off when your head has healed a little more, still, do not pull on scab that seems to be stuck since it can cause damage if unlucky, just soak and rub and you can do this multiple times a day if needed at this point.
I thought the exact same thing! I gently started washing my head after 4 days. Some of the little scans already started to come off at that point, but the bigger scabs took 9 days before they were gone. I was panicked to see some clinics say to wait longer to start washing your hair.
As far as I know it takes 72 hours for the grafts to settle in after that time it will take a tool to remove it from your head, hence some clinics allow you to start working on your scabs on day 6-14.
Question: after removing your scabs did your baby hairs look different at different areas? Different lengths and some even without any? Let me know please :) have a nice day
@@HairPalaceHairClinic I disagree. Mine said remove all on day 7. If I did, it would have bled. The clinic doesn't determine the time, the individual scalp does.
Please anyone, reply ASAP , Today's day 9 and my scabs are dry af , and it seems like they are developing mild, narrow cracks or lines something, so does that mean , Scab Removal is ready ?
Is it advisable to apply betadine solution daily to the donor region using a sterile gauze to remove the scabs ? It is painful but my doctor recommended to do daily it for 7 days after the transplant. Because of the increasing pain, I am wondering if it's needed at all (today is day 4)

Hmm. Another clinic is telling to remove the scabs at day 5 in order to keep the treatment in balance. I don’t know what to trust here really

I think it takes about 12 days not 72 hours.
I read it takes 5-7 days, so that's somewhere in between
I scratched one out by accident at day 6. It can take longer than a week…
No, it takes 9 days for it to get fully settled. But after 5 days, you’re pretty safe.
Question: after removing your scabs did your baby hairs look different at different areas? Different lengths and some even without any? Let me know please :) have a nice day
Mine said 11 days
Some clinics said can remove the scabs on Day 10. Is that ok?
Each doctor/clinic has slightly different instructions. Roughly 2 weeks, but not more than 3
Exactly!
It is best to follow your doctor's recommendation. The scabs should come off gradually.
Mine gave me a scrub brush for day 10.

Thank you for answering the question on wether you have to remove all the scabs in one go or over a few days!! My clinic wasn't clear on that
Excellent and clear instructions. Thank you so much.
Glad you found it helpful!
Why do you have to remove scabs by week 3?
My clinic said 13-15 days I need to remove them
I have some hair in my crust when they are falling is this natural?
yes, don't worry, coz the hairs in the roots get settled within 72 hours max
Thank you.
I had hair come out my scabs too after day 10 and I was worried
@@PuppyHeaven-k5k Never mind and same happened to me

Same
I asked my doc he said wait 14 days to complete
I’m told to wait until day 12.
My clinic instructions is to have them all removed by week two and we are starting at Day 6

No it's not. My clinic only did it after first wash
Don't for sure. It will stop the healing process. Initially to sterilize, yes.
my scabs are falling out and i brushed some off is that ok?
Is it normal when doing the washing of the scabs that bits of hair fall out with the scabs after a few days of the transplant.
Yes
Yeah that’s called shedding it will happen to the rest of the transplanted hair but then they will all grow back
Oh god I thought my body was repelling the new hairtransplants..
Good to know this is supposed to happen
@@milanotheterrible3168 are your results good? let me know
My implemented hair are temp growth so. My transplant success or not
The result is complete around 12 months after the hair transplant, so your doctor will be able to determine the success rate at this point.
They told me to wash my scabs after 9-12 days is that okay ?
@@yousifhaddad7327 Yup. My clinic told me to start at day 11 to 14.

Hello, when i can remove the scabs on donor area
During the second post-op week, when you soak the scabs off the implanted area.
Took a month before they were all gone!
cringe
Stop taking about hair transplant like your an expert after only doing hair transplant on 1500 patients for years
And how many have you done. They all have done thousands many more than what they say, but give figures like 1500+ 7000+ 12000+ 💰 🤑 😉
Day 5. I see no scabs on my head. Is it normal?
