Welcome Back UA-cam Family. Today We're Going To Demonstrate How To Make The Best Ever Mexican Taco Lasagna. You'll Be Amazed How Quick & Easy This Recipe Is, & It Will Be A Fan Favorite Amongst Family & Friends As Well
Rico Soul Italia Eats Mexican Taco Lasagna Recipe & Instructions:
    _________________________________________________________________
    Ingredients
    ------
    80/20 Ground Beef: 2 Pounds
Taco Seasoning Packets, One Mild & One Original: 2 Packets All Together
Black Beans: 1 Can (can substitute with Kidney Beans or Refried Beans)
    Monterey Jack Cheese: 1 Pound
Sharp Cheddar Cheese: 1 Pound (you can use a milder version if you like)
    Seasoning Salt: A Sprinkle
    Garlic Powder: A Sprinkle
    Onion Powder: A Sprinkle
    Salsa: Desired Amount
    Sour Cream: Desired Amount
    Guacamole: Desired Amount
Olive Oil Spray Or Olive Oil: Just A Tiny Bit
    Instructions
    -------
1.) Preheat Oven To 375F Degrees.
2.) Start Shredding Your 1 Pound Of Monterey Jack Cheese & Your 1 Pound Of Sharp Cheddar Cheese.
3.) Start Out By Cooking Your 2 Pounds Of Ground Beef, Adding Seasoning Salt, Garlic Powder & Onion Powder All To Your Taste. (I Just Give It A Slight Coating)
4.) Once Ground Beef Starts To Turn Brown Drain It Pretty Thoroughly!
5.) Then Add Your 2 Taco Seasoning Packets To The Ground Beef, One Original, & One Mild. (I Do This Because My Wife Doesn’t Like It Too Spicy. But If You Like It Spicy You Can Add Two Packets Of Mild, 2 Packets Of The Original Or Hotter!)
6.) Add 2/3 Cup Of Water Per Pound Of Ground Beef. Since This Recipe Requires 2 Pounds Of Beef, You’ll Need 1 1/3 Cups Of Water.
7.) Cook On Medium High Heat, Bring To A Boil, Once it Starts Boiling Reduce Heat & Let Simmer For 3 To 4 Minutes Uncovered. This Will Completes The Ground Beef Cooking Process.
    8) Next Grab Your 9”x13” Casserole Baking Dish & Grease It Very Lightly Using Olive Oil Spray Or A Napkin Or Paper Towel With A Little Bit Of Olive Oil On It, Coat The Baking Dish Very Lightly With It.
9.) Layer Tortillas At The Bottom Of The Baking Dish. Cut Or Rip Tortillas To Fill In The Gaps Of Baking Dish That’s Not Covered.
10.). Add 1 Pound (or half) Of The Cooked Ground Beef To The Baking Dish, Make Sure It’s Spread Evenly & Covers The Whole Bottom Of Baking Dish.
11.) Add Half Of Your Beans On Top Of The Ground Beef, Spread Evenly Throughout.
12.) Start Adding & Spreading 6oz Of Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Then 6oz Of The Monterey Jack Shredded Cheese, On Top Of The Ground Beef & Beans. This Will Be The 1st Layer Of Cheese.
13.) Add Another Layer Of Tortillas. Again, Cut Or Rip Tortillas To Cover & Fill In Any Exposed Gaps.
14.) Add Your Final Pound Of Ground Beef (the last half) To The Dish, Placing & Spreading Evenly On To Of The Tortillas. Again, Make Sure It’s Spread Evenly.
15.) Add You Your Remaining Beans & Place On Top Of The Beef, Distribute & Spread Evenly.
16.) Add 6oz More Of Your Monterey Jack Cheese, & 6oz More Of The Cheddar Cheese On Top Of Your Ground Beef & Black Beans.
17.) Add Another Layer Of Tortilla, Making Sure That It’s Fully Covering Any Open Gaps, This Will Be The Final Layer!
18.) Then Finish By Adding The Rest Of The Monterey Jack Cheese As Well As The Cheddar Cheese.
19.) Bake At 375F Degrees For 20 To 25 Minutes Depending On Your Oven, Or Until Your Cheese Has Melted & Has A Nice Color To It. If The Desired Color Is Not There After 25 Minutes, Turn On Your Oven Broiler For 1 To 3 Minutes To Get The Desired Color That You Want. (Make Sure You Keep An Eye On It, That’s A Must, Don’t Want To Over Broil It, For That Could Be Disastrous!)
20.) Let Cool For 5 To 10 Minutes, Then Cut Into Slices Just Like You Would When Cutting Into An Italian Lasagna.
21.) Enjoy With Salsa, Sour Cream, Guacamole, Or Whatever You Want To Top It With! Bon Appetit Peoples...Bon Appetit!!!

Hi 33LEAD, Appreciate You Stopping By & Giving Your Thoughts! Thanks A Million For That! I Have Another Mexican Taco Lasagna Video It's Entitled in Part "MEXICAN TACO LASAGNA With SEASONED REFRIED BEANS." Don't Sleep On That Video! While This Taco Lasagna May Look Better, I Personally Think The Taco Lasagna With The Refried Beans Is Far More Superior In Taste, Much More Flavorful! Which Ever One You Decide To Make Enjoy It! Thank Again For Cruising By!!! All The Best!!!

Hey Raquel, Thanks For Checking Out My Video & Commenting! Please Let Me Know How Things Turn Out! I Did Another Mexican Lasagna Video With The "SEASONED REFRIED BEANS." If I Had To Choose Between The Two I Would Go With The "SEASONED REFRIED BEANS" Lasagna Over The Black Beans. The "SEASONED REFRIED BEANS" Just Elevates This Dish To Another Level, But They Have To Be "SEASONED" Just The Way I Did Them in The Video. The Pictures & Video Looks Better For The Lasagna With The Black Bean Mexican Lasagna, But As Far As Taste Goes, The SEASONED REFRIED BEANS MEXICAN TACO LASAGNA Wins By A Mile...Lol! Thanks Again For Your Support, Please Don't Forget To Let Me Know How It Turned Out For You, Thanks!!!

@b_l_w Trust me, it’s 2 pounds, sometimes you can’t believe what your eyes see…lol. You have to understand these videos are edited. I forgot what happened in this instance, but the beef was already pre weighed & I forgot to film it so I rushed back to make it look like I was weighing it again…Lol. That was not for my benefit but of course for the viewers. Someone else brought that to my attention. I’m kinda new at filming & editing, I actually hate it…lol. But trust me it’s 2 pounds, I wouldn’t use any less. You could probably use 3 pounds of ground beef easily for this recipe. 2 pounds is the threshold, you wouldn’t want to use less or it will seem like you don’t have any ground beef in your lasagna. Thanks for being so observant & reminding me that I just have to do a better job when it comes to filming & editing! When I Realized This, I Filmed It Over Again As If I Were Weighing It Again. The Scale May Not Have Been Reset Or Something Like That, & I Just Added The Ground Beef Into The Bowl, That's What I Think You're Referring Too. But Trust Me It Was 2 Pounds. You Really Can't Make This Using Less, 2 Pounds Would Be The Minimum! You Could Probably Add Another Pound Of Ground Beef For 3 Pounds Total And It Would Tasted Even Better! I Just Have To Do A Better Job Of Filming & Editing. I'm New At This & I Hate Doing It...Lol. It's So Time Consuming! Thanks For Checking In Bo, Thanks For Your Comment & Support. Hi Arlie, Good observation & thanks for watching! Sorry I didn’t show this in the video but we served this with Salsa & Sour Cream! The Salsa has all the veggies in it…the Tomatoes, Peppers 🫑 🌶️ Garlic 🧄 & Onion 🧅! As far as lettuce goes where would you put it? You couldn’t put it inside the Lasagna & then put it in the oven, lettuce & heat don’t go together. It would wither & add water to the Lasagna. After the Lasagna is finished & out of the oven you could chop up some lettuce & put it on top of your Lasagna but as far as optics go I don’t think that would look to good. Lettuce just doesn’t work with this recipe! Try out this recipe & add lettuce & tell me if it’s worth the extra work & if it works for you. Again, thanks for watching Arlie, really appreciate you, hope that you have an amazing day, take care!

Hey, bud! Just wanted to let you know that the taco lasagna went over pretty well. I will try the one with refried beans next time. The only thing I did different with this one was I added green chiles to mine.

Hey Matty J, adding the green chilis sounds really good. I can tell you for sure that the seasoned refried beans is a game changer. The dish is much more flavorful that way! Thanks for checking in, hope that you have an awesome weekend good buddy!

@@mattjones7621 Trust Me Matty J The Seasoned Refried Beans Is A Game Changer, I Won't Do It Any Other Way From Now On. But It Has To Be The "Seasoned Refried Beans" The Way I Did Them In The Video. I Wouldn't Do Regular Refried Beans They Just Have A Bland Taste To Them! I Don't Even Like Refried Beans...Buy I Like Seasoned Refried Beans...Lol. I Love That You Added Green Chilis, I Would Add That To Mine But My Wife Is Very Sensitive To Spicy Things! Hope All Is Well Down In Tennesee, Hope That You Have An Awesome Weekend, Thanks For Letting Me Know About How Things Turned Out!

@@ricosoulitaliaeats Oh, absolutely, Rico! Thanks, again, for the great recipes. Yes, I agree that plain refried beans are bland. I will add the spices like you did when I get to it. Everything is cool down here. Take care!!

Hey Bill, Thank For Cruising By, Really Appreciate It! The Reason Why I Don't Use Pre-Shredded Cheese Is Because Pre-Shredded Cheese Has A Lot Of Anti Clumping Agents Like "Cellulose" In It To Stop It From Clumping Together. You Don't Want To Put That Stuff In Your Body. It Can Be A Combination Of Potato Starch, Corn Starch, Calcium Sulfate, Or Powdered Cellulose. Stay Away From These If Possible.
