OMG I LOVE YOU FOR THIS! Holy Cow - I am going back and taking my videos and turning them into blog posts for my website and you just made my year with this! I merely was looking for a video on where to go to extract the text and I forgot how to do it. Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!
cool, but what about using caption overriding and taking advantage of it? i've seen other youtubers use it but i'm unaware of how to use it myself any help would be appreciated, thank you :)
Hello! I believe caption overrides allow you to replace the automatically generated captions with your own text for specific segments of the video. So you would still have to have your own text transcript that you wanted to replace that segment with. I like to take the generated transcript, add the capitalization and punctuation and then completely replace it, then have the UA-cam Edit Timings place the correct time stamps. I have found it is pretty accurate when I do a playback. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching and best of luck to you!
@@SharonSmith ah, i believe i worded it incorrectly; formatting. i've seen other youtubers change the scaling and color of the text, however i can't find how to find it for the life of me. thanks for sharing such an in-depth description of captions though! :D
Any idea how to get ChatGPT NOT to include math formatting? I am making math videos but when I copy and paste the text, it has math formatting symbols. When I copy and paste it to word (even when I paste without formatting) it does a weird spacing thing that takes forever to correct.
Try adding something like this to your ChatGPT prompt: "Do not include math symbols in the transcript, just the words typed out so I can use this for the video captions" I hope this works so it will save you time in formatting! Thanks for watching my videos!
