Dear Performance Review,
Couple years ago I had a windmill in my head and I ate all the Dyson marketing like an idiot NPC. Bought a Dyson v7, and my god those Dyson heads and their bagless canisters are such a pain to clean. When it stopped working, I dug the internet and discovered your channel. Bought a Miele C1 and a Wessel-Werk TK 286 turbo head this time, with a metal adapter of course.
Compared to the Dyson, they are such easy to maintain, quality products and I couldn't be more grateful. Thanks for the in-depth TK 286 Repair video too. I am no longer a windmill brain NPC :D
My late aunt owned a Concept One. It was white and green and a great machine. It was pretty heavy for her, so she wound up getting an Oreck around the mid 90's.
I still have mine from purchase in the fall of 1989 from Kmart. I still love this machine.
Loved my Hoover Dimension 1000 (canister) and although I've never owned an upright, I did like the Concept One line.
Those are nice vacuum sweepers looks like it can use self propelled
I have 2 Concept Ones and a Concept Two, and I can say that with confidence that the Concepts are probably my 2nd most favorite vacuum made (with the Elite being number 1 on my list), they really do clean well, and are very well built compared to anything made after (even the Elite).
Oooh! I must do a house demo on mine at some point. This video will come in very handy! 😊
This is said by objective electric floor care cleaner collectors to be Hoover USA's finest in terms of cleaning performance, and I agree. Sentimentalists argue for the Convertible, but that's just not the case when results are examined.
Thanks for the how-to vid; although I dislike the fast-forwarded parts.
Thank God I found your site! I have a Hoover Concept One Model #U3109 power drive that my grandmother bought new from my mother when she worked at a furniture store. It was bought in the early 80's, probably 81/2ish. I need belts and my brush bar is decent but of course I wish I could get a replacement. I don't know what belts to get as the belt #'s have all worn off, so need some help there please.
My grandmother used this vac until she died in 2008 so she got 25+ years out of it. Still runs good but want to give it some love and clean it up, maybe put a new power cord on. In my opinion this is one hell of a vac, I've used it on all sorts of different carpet and it's always done a great job. TIA and keep up the good work.
I was feeling terribly lonely with my concept one......thanks for the great video
Now I have the urge to go pull one of mine out and make sure it's got good belts and use it for a while.
Excellent overview and 'How To.' I picked one up the other day at a GW, for $11. The color caught my eye, and the shape was so Jetson's. I had not seen one before either. Non-power drive, and sounded good. It's cleaning up well, and your demo here answered a number of questions I didnt have yet. Especially the brush roller. Thanks. Nicely done. (P.S. Add the light bulb to your Amazon link)
Thanks for bringing that to my attention the light bulb link is now in the description
@@PerformanceReviews Those are 12v ? I didnt know that. great.
@@PerformanceReviews I grabbed my meter, and yes, it read 11v. All the other suppliers are charging from 3-6 bucks per bulb, while your recommendation is a buck. I did notice how all the official vacuum replacement sites made it a point not to list the voltage of the lamps.
@@PerformanceReviews Used your link for both. Thanks for the assistance.
We grew up with the vacuum on the far left of the video image (1988-2008). It is the main reason i NEVER wanted a to have a bag vacuum ever again... however, what i am gathering from your video is that bagged vacuums have gotten a little better?
I used a green one at a restaurant where I worked and it was cool,,,but no way does that vacuum smoke a Kirby,,,lol...btw,,,they kept the Hoov serviced. And it was hella LOUD!!!
very awesome machines!
See I have a power drive version of this vacuum and it sucks! Is there a reason why it picks nothing up? It's almost like there is no suction
Oooh can't wait, they are such an interesting vacs
Where is your detailed video on the cord reel service for concept one

Who else wants Hoover to bring back quadraflex?
Nobody.
Is this basically the original Windtunnel?
No
Nein mann
Love my concept one
What kind of lubricant do you use, and how do you lubricate the motor. My Hoover Convertible's motor is beginning to sound pathetic.
Such great machines just wish Hoover dident make it hard to get parts for these. Off topic question have you ever heard of a brand called Atrix?
What is Atrix .
Some brand I came across and was curious about
@@AwesomeVacuums is it a commercial type unit and is it sold here in the states or is it over in Europe
I don’t know anything about it
