Inkscape Tutorial: Vector Dice

Поділитися
Вставка
  • Опубліковано 14 сер 2024
  • In this tutorial I’ll be demonstrating how you can create a vector dice illustration using Inkscape. This would be an excellent tutorial to follow if you’re a beginner because it will introduce you to the possibilities of vector design as it relates to illustration. We’ll be utilizing gradients and two path effects - the Perspective path effect and the Corners path effect.
Want to learn more about how Inkscape works? Check out the Inkscape Master Class - a comprehensive series of over 50 videos where I go over every tool, feature and function in Inkscape and explain what it is, how it works, and why it's useful: logosbynick.co...

I'm watching all your videos and I'm getting obsessed with this channel. Everything is so christal clear. The way you explain is perfect. Lots of tools are the same as AI and Corel of course but I had to get an update cause I'll never pay a fortune for a program again. Between this one and GIMP will be enough. Cheers!

Many, many thanks. I was working on a logo for a Microsoft Teams channel. I needed to created cubes with certain letters. This tutorial taught me what to do. I been using Inkscape since around version 0.42, if not earlier, but your channel has taught me so much more about what Inkscape is capable of. Cheers!

Thank you so much for making this tutorial!!!
This is my first time using Inkscape. I've used Adobe Illustrator for college but after graduating I had to stop using Adobe. I was open to Inkscape as an alternative but I was nervous learning this new program. Mainly because I'm so used to Illustrator ahaha.
This tutorial was super easy to follow through and helped me become more excited to use Inkscape!

I always look forward to Nick's tutorials. Even though this video is meant for Inkscape users, I was able to recreate this in Affinity Designer. The isometric grid manager made it super easy even though I had a few hiccups but ended up learning a thing or two. I do wish Nick had more time for Affinity Designer tutorials but I'm glad he's done a few.

I tried to finish this but for some reason the Champhor Fillet Corners Path Effect didn't want to cooperate the same on all the corners. It left one of the corners with a wierd formation more like an offset blister. After many attempts of trying to find out why to correct the issue I decided it was simply over my head. I was spot on until that and had fun! Thanks Nick!
