I love editing in FCP on iPad for what it CAN do, but unfortunately it’s still LumaFusion for me as an (almost) one stop shop. FCP is just missing too many basic features: Stabilisation, custom LUT imports, speed ramping, are the main ones for me. LumaFusion is only missing speed ramping from that list, and they are about to release their latest update imminently which does have it.
Not sure I'd recommend to anyone to start a subscription to FCiPad only to use this feature as Capcut would be more than enough. But your demonstration of the dual camera shoot with one shot above and the other the iPad itself will probably help a lot of people who were looking to do something similar with other software to capture than PiP-type of shot. And for those who watch and just want to use both clips together, copy+paste two multicam shots and then select different feeds. Adjust the PiP as needed! Good review on what's available so far on the iPad/Phone!
Thanks watching. Yes having multiple phones isn’t something the average user probably has so something like a different angle or top down made sense to me. Thanks for watching!
Yes that’s usually my workflow. Color grade and sync audio in Resolve. Export and then bring into Final Cut Pro. I felt the same about Resolve for editing too
@@btonelli How to do this ? I put a project created with Final Cut Pro 10.8 on a Mac on an external drive and on the iPad when I try to open this project it doesn't recognize it.

Yes there is a lot more that can be added to FCP for iPad. Hopefully they do it soon
@@btonelli This is a weird response. Its almost like you are discounting what LumaFusion can do
@@CallMeRabbitzUSVI how is this a weird response. I’m responding to the missing features in FCP. The video is about FCP not LumaFusion.
I can't connect my phone to my iPad in Final Cut Pro, Please how do I connect them? All the classic methods on UA-cam did not work

Do you color grade in Resolve first and then edit in to FCP? I’ve been struggling trying to get the hang of Resolve for editing.

Good demo....like your ideas😅
Thanks!
how far can the cameras be away from the ipad?
Quits a bit of distance since it’s using wifi and Bluetooth. I haven’t measured exactly but I’ll try one and let you know
@@btonelli thanks for the quick response. I film basketball games, wondering if i can use this at some point.
I shall wait for the day when Adobe Launches Premiere Pro for the iPad🙂. But FCP is great aswell once you get the hang of it.
Hopefully Adobe does one day. FCP it is for the time being and Resolve for iPad
Hello, Can you open a Final Cut project for Mac on Final Cut Pro 2 for iPad ?
Yes you can
@@btonelli
How to do this ?
I put a project created with Final Cut Pro 10.8 on a Mac on an external drive and on the iPad when I try to open this project it doesn't recognize it.
I have the iPad Pro M4 13 inch
They need to u0 there game with transitions etc to catch even I dunno CapCut
Yes CapCut is nailing it with the transitions
Been using Lumafusion for a few years and love the effects they offer. Is there a way to add more transitions to FCP on the iPad?
I don’t believe you can add effects at this time.
for the iPad2? What are you talking about? Shouldn't it be FinalCut 2 for the iPad!?!
Its actually called “Final Cut Pro for iPad 2” look it up on Apple’s site
So you should rename your video because you are talking about iPad 2!
I’ll try it renaming the video. The title from Apple is a bit of a tongue twister and not how many will search for it
