Thanks for posting! Our house is 3:11. The community really pulled together to get our long driveway cleared so we were not trapped in. A lot of hard work and people were just pulling over to help out. Heartwarming to have neighbors, friends, strangers and soldiers all come together to get us out quick! Much love to all!
Matt Gillespie lol yes it is crazy to see but thankful we are all alive. I met your dad the other day and maybe your son. He had his grandson with him. Very nice man. Another nice thing about the whole situation is how many neighbors we have met for the first time through this whole ordeal. We have a great little neighborhood up here with such nice people!
My heart goes out to you all, and God Bless! To Christopher: I believe on that day their house was shielded by Angel Wings brother, and ICF is not GOD. 😉
@Evan Papay I watched that monster come right at us. It's been 2 years and I still don't sleep well during storms. I thought we were dead too. So glad we're all still here even though 2 years later we can still see the damage.

@@evanpapay8336 I know this may seem so trivial to what so many lost but I don't have children and my 3 cats were my like my children and they didn't survive but I'm thankful my dad and nephew did. I have a lot to be thankful for when so many lost so much.
@Kid19GamerGuy I was in my living room with one wall being all glass, and my dad and I were actually sitting in there and heard it before we ever saw it. We never heard the sirens, and we live just 2 minutes away from the sirens in Ellerslie it was that loud. Don't be fooled it certainly did not sound like a train it was more like a prolonged sonic boom. We stayed in that room as long as we could until we had to move to the center of the house, but when those 2 monsters merged, we saw it happening. We watched it twist 100 yr old white oaks from the center and uproot others. There was no way to tell how big the base of it was once they merged its just that everything turned black, and everything started twisting, bending, breaking, uprooting, and flying in all different directions. Huge trees would start going in different directions, and then when it was about 15 feet from the house, we could feel the house start to vibrate, and we're on a cement foundation. We watched the roof of our lift off and heard the trusses in our attic breaking. Our house is built with 4x6, not 2x4, so it's a lot sturdier than most of the houses around here. We watched it take our chain link fence up and wrap it around a tree like a twist tie. But say we actually saw the tornado we really didn't because of just how massive it was. It literally looked like one huge black trash pile spinning in mid-air that could have swallowed our house if it had landed on top of us, but only the edge of it caught us, or it bounced because it took out 1.5 acres of our woods in back and only one side of house and 2 of our 4 vehicles, our fence and 2 acres of woods in our front our house. It even knocked our propane tank off balance, but luckily, it didn't explode. The trees that fell in our field hit with such force it messed up our field lines, and we had to put in a new septic tank and field lines. We've been through hurricanes and tornadoes and straight line winds, but nothing like this. I had to cut up 100 yr old trees just walk out of our driveway to be able to get to the road and cut through trees to check on neighbors. You could look up and down 315 and not tell which end was up or down. It's been 4 years, and I don't do well with bad weather and especially if it's nighttime and a storm comes up. I have a bad weather kit to include a weather radio and food and water to last the 3 of us and my new cat for 2 weeks. I made sure my cat was never fed wet food, so all she eats is dry, and she goes to one place when it's bad weather so I know where to find her if I need to. I swore I'd never have more than 1 cat because 3 was just too many to deal with during bad weather. Kid19, I'm glad you were safe during the whole thing, and I hope you didn't suffer too much damage to your property or suffer any mental harm from it. I'm actually a mental health therapist now, so I understand how things like this can impact people even years afterwards. Take care of yourself.
