      @@Ellebangs And one more thing. You often show us how you do your babylights, how you lighten the crown area/money pieces, but what about the hair that is underneath, at the back? How does this process work? I would also like to see more extreme low maintenance balayages on hair that is naturally level 5-7 and the balayage do not start from the root but lower, like low maintenance, well-blended ombre/sombre 😊 Something that looks nice but does not require touch-ups for long😍

I'm noticing my highlights look very yellow and areas silvery and harsh. She did not tone my hair. She had done similar highlights 3 months prior, but she did use a toner then. My hairdresser unfortunately didn’t do this .. $300 later my hair is light red .. 😂( I didn’t ask for a toner either )
    I wasted my money and 4 hours of my time with a promise of highlights and a “ very exceptional hairstylist “ that would be “ a perfect fit “ for me and my hair needs . I wish hair salons would stop doing this because they end up not doing a good job with placing people with the correct stylist . This hairdresser they placed me with was new and in need of clients. And I ended up with a crappy hairstyle and not getting what I asked for in the first place.

    I had my hair professionally balayage 2 weeks ago. I walked in with roots at a level 5 with grey regrowth on top only. ( I was box coloring to cover grays top regrowth only) I have long hair that natural faded to mid 6 ends 7. She lifted with foils and got to a nice light yellow at ends, some areas became warmth. I wanted to be a level 8 beige blonde baylage with 7 light ash brown root smudge and roots ashy 6. I don’t know what she did but when she toned me she made me dark again with copper like 5/6. Way too warm. Do you think I need to rebleach with foils? I have some grey regrowth so I was thinking 6n and 8na 20 volume, what root smudge and toner for the foil areas? ? Again beige blonde ash light brown is my goal. It’s only been two weeks… think it’s enough time before bleaching again?I’m going to use bond with bleach. What are your thoughts? Thank you! Love your advice…❤ your hair coloring is my goals!! Do you think it’s too much a hurdle for a level 5/6 with grays coming in? Thank you 🙏🏼

    Hi! I love your videos and have been following you for years. I am a lift ash blonde (with a history of bleach, semi permanent hair color also). I recently bought shades eq for blondes level 9 and 10 but am afraid to use them on my hair. Should I try get rid of the old color first before using them? What is the best way? Thank you! #FAN4LIFE

    I would like to send you a picture. It was recommended to me to put on a med ash blonde on my roots so I did. I want to now add blond and tone down the warm color in my hair. 🤦🏼‍♀️

    HELP, I’m going on vacation tomorrow and now instead of dark brown I very mistakenly went with light brown and a little bit of red. Sooo, it looks so horrible. I recolored it with dark brown and a red remover additive. Looks better but barley! I was going for a balayage look so upset I’ve spent hours working on this just to look horrible. 😢

    What happens if my hair is a level 9 and I use a level 10 toner? Will it still lighten to a level 9 or have absolutely no effect at all?

    • @teeeff8337
      @teeeff8337 Рік тому +1

      From what I gather, she is saying it won’t work. She said if you tone with a level any higher than your hair is lifted, there will be no toning results. If you use a level 10 toner on your level 9 hair, your hair won’t be bright enough for the color of the toner to deposit. In other words, your hair will be too dark to be able to see the color deposit of a level 10 toner. If you’re a level 9, she is saying to use a level 8. It’s confusing, I know lol

      @@teeeff8337 yes, doesn't do much. I want to try blue shampoo next because I think I see some orangey shades in my hair and if thats true I think that means it's not as light, but my natural colour is already a level 7-8 sooo.. my highlights have to be level 9 at least .
      I wonder if maybe my not colorsafe shampoo has been stripping some of the color away

    • @teeeff8337
      @teeeff8337 Рік тому

      @@sobean9309 Sounds like you’re on the right track to figuring it out. I believe your hair must be at least a level 9 for purple shampoo to really do anything. So if it’s not doing much, your hair either has not reached a level 9 yet.. or yes, the brassiness of your hair pulls more orangey tones and a blue shampoo would do a much better job. Being blonde ain’t easy, is it lol

    @Ellebangs Question: I have virgin hair and I've been wanting to go from level 3 to level six for my base, and then do balayage highlights after that. But ... I'm guessing the base is going to get red or brassy in the future when the color fades, because I would have lifted it with color. And this means I'll be super stuck, because with my highlights being lighter than my base, I won't be able to use a toner to knock down the brassiness of the base color when it goes brassy. Do I have this right? If I'm correct then I really wonder how the heck they do JLo's color!! It seems like her base is lighter than her natural color, and she has highlights. But her base never becomes brassy/red.

    I was today years old when I found out there are toners that don’t need developers. I think that’s what I took from this video 🫣

    • @natmya243
      @natmya243 7 місяців тому

      They do need developers they just don't use the standard 10,20,30 vol developers and they call them activating lotions instead. Redkens activating lotion is around 7 vol and it absolutely does lift some hair. I am a level 6 with a lot of underlying red pigment in my hair and toners lift my level 6 to orange. Look at her hair at the top and fringe you can see it on her as well. I am fed up of hairdressers saying it's deposit only. Not on my hair. Damn I used Guy Tang semi permanent so called deposit only toner which the activating lotion is only supposed to be 5 vol and that lifted my hair to orange as well.
