Kubota L2501 Repair: Tachometer Cable

My tachometer (and hour meter) abruptly stopped working. This is not an electrical meter, it is mechanical with a rotating cable running from the engine to the tach. Turns out my cable had a clean break about 4 inches from the engine end. The part name and number for this Kubota cable is "Cable, Flexible TC415-34650." It was a little under $30 at my local dealer when I purchased it in August 2020.
