Guys, had a little issue with our 2015 Kubota L2501HST hours gauge and tachometer not working at all. This is a super simple fix that you can do yourself and only takes 10-15 minutes. Here is an in depth, step by step repair.
I got my part from Messicks;

Yours broke at 293, mine broke at 283. Good instructions, thanks for your effort and time.
Thank You. Just the Info I Needed. Greatly appreciated.
Just changed my cable out on my L2501 at 128hrs. Thanks for the video.
This video was amazing! Thank for the information and showing how easy it is to fix! AWESOME
so much easier than on my late 80's L2250. On mine you won't access the rear of the cluster assembly w/o pulling the steering wheel and far more body parts than you tackled. Nice vid.
That is what I was looking for. Thanks Great and Powerful Master ❤️!!!
EXACTLY what I needed. I've only got 140 hrs ssme model. This is going tk save me $$ and my time.
Thanks for the info! That is a great help to see how to get into the dash area.
Glad we could help, thanks for supporting the channel Mark!
I know this is an old vid but my l2501 tach quit working around the same hour mark as yours did. This vid helped a ton thank you!
Great to hear! Appreciate the support!
Thanks for the video. My L3200 Tach just quit. Your instructions are good and to the point.
Now I am off to the Kubota dealer to buy the part.
Thanks
Bam! Glad we could help Richard!
My L3200 tach quit today and I found this video. Glad to hear it worked for you.
Well done video, thanks for making it quick and sweet!!
Thanks so much for supporting the channel!
Nice job…thank you… my issue is a signal light bulb but your video was a perfect solution for me. Other videos get into pulling the steering wheel which won’t be necessary.
Awesome! Glad it helped 🙌 man that sounds like a lot of work
Good video, don’t work under hydraulic raised implements without blocking them up.
Great vid, saved me some time. Thanks. Fyi to those that care paid 47 in canada
Just in case, it’s was basically the same on my 1981 L345 but they didn’t have all those protective guards 40 years ago. Measure your old cable - the part number gave cables that were from 25” to 55” long. Mine was about 48” long. Exactly the same at the engine. I removed 4 Philips head screws to loosen the instrument panel. I had to pull the steering wheel to raise the panel enough to get to the back of the tach. No big problem.
Great job, best video yet, others want you to take the arms and bucket off, I replaced mine in 15 minutes. Thanks
Thanks Edward! Crushed it 💪
Great video
Thanks!
Awesome👍👍👍👍
Good information
Thanks Rasta!
Thanks brother
You're welcome!
Mine just stopped working at 356 sounds to me like kabota has a faulty product that should be free of charge to you for the part regardless of warranty
I believe that's my problem
Thank you. Oddly I have a 2015 L2501 with just shy of 300 hours and the tach quit working yesterday. Is this a known flaw or a coincident?
My repair went exactly as you describe. Thank you again.
This was great. Thanks for doing this. Have you replaced your fuel and temp cables? I think a squirrel chewed through mine. :)
Of course! No i haven't, that does not sound fun.😌
mine broke at exactly 400.0hrs. I think my tractor wanted to make sure it gets is servicing.
Haha oh no! Better het to it! 💪💪
You mentioned the hour meter. Does that one cable work both tach and hour meter?
Yup, two stones with one bird. 👌🏻
My hour meter seems to over count. After warm up of about 20-30 min, the clock has changed by 3 hours. Is that common ?
Man that’s not good, you should contact a dealer for sure
The hour meter isn't accurate anyways. It's mechanical so if you just let it run at idle it goes much slower. So like .1 of an hour is like 18 minutes before it clicks over.
Hmm did you myth bust this?
@@BreakFreeHomestead I let it idle and waited like 12 minutes and got tired of waiting after that. I think it finally clicked over a few minutes later.
