In the Dwemer ruins just south of Dagon Fel you can get another amazing helmet. Everybody's favourite, the Masque of Clavicus Vile. If You're playing the Imperial Legion questline, you'll be going here anyway. If not, then it's still worth checking out as a constant effect fortify personality 30 points is not to be sniffed at.
I really like the additional information that Bearclaw's descendent says he gets a stipend from the Empire. That tells me that the Empire likely knows the truth but view him as a good PR/diplomatic piece in their chess game.
The fact that you do a deep dive on the lore for the equipment is one of my favorite things you do.....and also, you can't keep that metal t shirt from me coffee. Zakk and I both know it's Black Label Society ImI
I wish they made games now like they made morrowind. They put so many secrets and hidden things in morrowind that are so hard to find and obscure only a small amount of people would've found it but it was the rewards for the long search that made it worth it
Quick mention on the random orcs that attacked you on the way to the shrine. Clearly you don't spend a lot of time on this island though if it didn't come to mind right away haha. But it was related to the exact reason you came here. Orc's flock around the Malacath shrine. They're devout worshippers of Malacath. There are a bunch of them all over the island. A large portion of them are hostile by nature, so they will follow and attack you if spotted.
For me there are several channels which give much joy from seeing there is a new post to watch. But a new CoffeeNutGaming video is always the most joyous.
Oblivion didn't have Daedric Shrines, because Imperials never worshiped the Daedra like the Dunmer ancestors did. Nords did worship the daedra a little bit (still not as much as the Dunmer), but TES:V kind of replaced canon Nordic religion with the Imperial pantheon anyways
For the medium armor spear argonian build this seems like a great helmet, it's heavy armor, but there aren't many helmets that beast races can wear anyways (most of them being medium armor) but I feel the constant effects are just too good to pass up for the build specifically the 40 agility.
Hi. Found your channel yesteday. Been enjoying it alot! Even learned a lot of new things despite knowing the game for years. Morrowind is my favourite game of all time without question. But a small thing, in case you haven't covered it. Is something I always make in my early games. A ring/amulet enchanted with 1 hp / second and 3 fatigue / second. constant effect. Or if i am low on money/materials, just a 3 fatigue / second. It is one of those small things that makes the game so much easier.
This helm also works for Beastial Races. Meanwhile the two most Enchantable helmets, does not allow for Beastial Races to wear them. So this helmet is by far one of the best since it allows everyone to wear it, no race hinderance. There is 12 Helmets in the game that Argonians and Khajiits can wear (This includes the Gondolier's Helm). Going from 7.5 Enchantment Points, up to 25 as the highest. Highest is the Imperial Templar Helmet in Heavy Armours. Compared to the 75 of the Daedric helms, it is very low. Also about the lore. From Arena to Morrowind, it was consistent with each other. But after Morrowind, with Oblivion, they retconned a lot of lore. Which continued in ESO and Skyrim. Either by changing lore fully, removing parts or adding parts to existing lore. Like a good example is: After the Oblivion Crisis, there was supposed to be a barrier between Tamriel and the Realms of the Daedra, meaning that any item, creature or being conjured from the Daedric planes, would not be able to be conjured anymore. But in Skyrim, there is clear manners and ways to enter and exit daedric planes.
Morrowind is a full pool with shallow to deep end and has slides to discover and water jets and diving boards for the deep end. Oblivion, i cant comment on because i skipped it but the characters look very bad.. But skyrim.... Skyrim is a big pool but its all shallow end, and the slides arent discoverable, more like you are funneled into them and they suck because they are shallow pool slides. Further in the pool, todd pooped in the pool... It could have been fun but it fails overall comparatively.
This Helmet is hideous (opinion) and way overhyped. The armor rating is about the only good thing about it. Once you get a couple good helmets, you will be hard pressed to find a justification to wear it over others. Endurance buff is useless literally and agility buff is only good if you originally have abysmal agility.
Dammit, all this Morrowind content keeps popping up and I'm going to have to reinstall it. Prolly means a month straight of installing, configuring and ofc troubleshooting mods. Thanks a lot...
Fortify Endurance doesn't even affect Fatigue in OpenMW. I learned that the hard way after struggling through killing Oreyn yesterday. The Agility bonus is nice, though. EDIT: Apparently my game was just bugging out. I'm getting the Fatigue bonus now.
Haha delightful. Hey ya know what's fun? Flying around gathering a massive fleet of cliff racers, turn around and launch a nuke at them. Watch em all fall down
Great video as always! I know you do these videos on items and builds in a vanilla install of the game but.... there is a mod that makes cliff racers less aggressive (only blighted ones attack you on sight). It's called "Passive Cliff Racers". On the other hand, I do enjoy it when the game interrupts you...
Yo your videos made me buy a pc and download morrowind and I'm having a blast. Do you think you can make a spellsword/battlemage type guide, that would be sick. Love ur videos
Wow! That's crazy to hear. Hope you're enjoying the world of Vvardenfell. Spellsword and hand-to-hand are the next how to's on my list - haven't decided the order yet but coming soon.
Been playing as a Battlemage/Spellsword recently and it would be super useful. Its pretty hard to tank enough damage, I need to get more adept at crowd control. I tend to go Breton/Atronach. I prefer Mystism/Health Drain spells along with Alteration for lock opening and summoning to create a minion wall. Alchemy and Enchant as minors. Battlemage - Heavy Armour/Axe (Using summoned axes) ; Spellsword - Longblade/Medium Armour.
@Ben G in morrowind no matter what class its always handy to have spells. My favourite are conjuration, mysticism and alteration because they're always needed
I think “The city where the Man-God lives” is actually supposed to be Vivec and then you ask around there to find out that he is in Gnaar Mok, but it is of course completely skippable. Also, doing this quest alongside Azura’s Quest is very time efficient, provided you remember to actually mark Azura’s shrine. The route being: Azura’s shrine, Sadrith Mora, Dagon Fel, Malacath’s shrine, whatever your preferred way of reaching Gnaar Mok is, Dagon Fel, Malacath’s shrine, finish Azura’s quest on the island nearby, recall to Azura’s shrine. (Fists of Randagulf are near Gnaar Mok but I do not recommend getting them if you do not like to spoil story). I did all of this recently in a hand-to-hand run and it serves very well for early game gear
I’ve recently started my first Morrowind play through these videos have been super useful. Also would anyone recommend chysmere or Ice blade of the monarch.
Mainly time - easier to work in filming and editing a UA-cam video off and on throughout the week, then block 3-hour + windows to stream. I hope to find a schedule that works better in the future.
Doesn't Elder Scrolls have a lore master, a person that keeps track of everything lore related? Sounds like he overlooked something or they're just trying to keep it open ended.

@@landoncube769 Hollow Knight has tons of hidden stuff in it. Devs totally still do that. It is just in the indie scene.

luv me some helm of oryn bearclaw. morrowind has the most goated helmets
It's definitely a hallmark item

To be honest, i really appreciate this content, as well as the commentary you make during videos. Awesome stuff, i hope to see you do more 👍
I love your commentary! Deep Morrowind lore, brought to you with a dash of humor and a voice worthy of a radio presenter.
Love seeing these, thanks for keeping Morrowind alive❤️
Not only morrowind was the only game with Daedric Shrines to explore, they also had the alien names. Later games somehow mainstreamed the Daedra.

There's honestly no reason to not mix match, whether it be for fashion, enchanting purposes etc.

Mein Gott! I just finished my Total Overhaul mod list for OpenMW, my heavy armor Dark Elf is shuffling up to Sheogorad asap!
Anyway you can upload it to the nexus as a collection? If you still have it that is. I need a good pre built pack to play.
