Glad you enjoyed your scramble on Moel Siabod, a great place. You'll have to get some Scarpa boots cracking footwear.

Really enjoyed the video. Moel Siabod is one of my favourite mountains. If you take a tent or even better get someone else to carry it for you, it's a great vantage point for sunsets. If you want a peak with less climbing Moel Llyfnant has great views into the central peaks of Snowdonia.

Absolutely epic. Paul "Bonnington" Compton and Sherpa Livesey. Sometimes landscape photography takes a back seat and its just about being there. Almost needed a defibrillator just watching.

I will take my hat off to you Paul you done really well to get to the top of that mountain that climb looked awesome! you were so lucky with the weather too I bet your thighs were numb when you got back to the car, I hope you made full use of some deep heat treatment when you had time to relax, it was not about photography (you said that) it was about personal achievement and you passed the test, I do hope that you did not have to go to work the following day! I really enjoyed my journey with you and it bought back memories of when I climbed Snowdon many years ago and the weather changed within seconds and we had to abandon the climb when we were nearly at the summit. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this, it really was enjoyable to watch......

Well done Paul - I know you quite like the geology bit, so I hope you enjoyed being on volcanic rocks, that then got covered with sandstone and mudstone layers. That rock is seriously hard and strong to weathering, if you looked down you would see seashells in them. What a fantastic violent place - heaven mate. I remember Nick from MANY years ago, the cafe will never be the same.

Been up there myself a few times and you got a better view than I ever have LOL. Doing good mountain hikes like that is such good fun getting to places you never thought you would. Glad to see you enjoying it.

All I can say is, I'm proud of you. Some climb mate.
I know that if I were on that one, I'd have waved goodbye, and gotten to the top a bit later.
Ahh but the view was glorious wasn't it? I look forward to opening my new calendar. :)

Reckon there's a full on epic to be made with you , Jason Jones and Gary Gough and Livesey. All based in Snowdonia . full on tutorials. Give the F4 lot a run for their money. Using a classic to title it " Three Men and a Goat ". Great vlog and fair play to yer getting up there.

Well done Paul, great effort to climb that. The one time I did it I had a 3 legged terrier with me so had to start the steep climb a little further around the mountain and come up just past the trig point. Walking down I went down the slope toward Capel Curig then followed the river through the forest plantation back to the road you finish at. Fantastic views at the top and spookily enough was discussing this walk with the wife this afternoon. (I think Nick has put her off and she's looking at the map for an alternative lol ) . Surprised to see you didn't shoot anything at the old quarry buildings, or did you go a different way? Well done anyway :-)

Hi Alan, I'll jump in before Paul does! When I climb Siabod from home I go the 'back way' and follow the stream up to Llyn y Foel so no Foel Quarry for us that day. Your tripod terrier did well ;)

@@nickliveseyphotographingth5050 , thanks Nick, I was proud of him. Unfortunately we lost him to lung cancer in December but we still have his twin brother :-) I'm waiting for the fair-weather tourists to stay at home before venturing out to the Welsh hills again. I'll be the fat git carrying a camera bag being dragged after the sheep by a Patterdale Terrier lol.

It will only take you about 15mins a Dayton to build up the strength you need and weather you like it or not without putting it the 15mins per day you better start looking for pictures to take at sea unless you cheat and use the drone
