The part where you decide to leave the confines of your nice dry comfortable car to climb that mountain in horrendous conditions is incredible to say the least. Given the same situation I can see myself stopping somewhere for a hot chocolate while driving back home.
Moel siabod is just above the Anabasis mountain club hut at Garth farm. I was hut warden for 15yrs and Kings college Cambridge rented it for 15 students every November but after 60yrs the landlord Jones family have taken the hut back. Garth farm will live in the memories of me and my children and grandchildren, Moel siabod fell race and carnival still attracts a large amount of people. please support the carnival in July especially after the covid pandemic.
Young Lady you are simply amazing . You are a brave strong woman . I hope that always works in your favor .Once again the Grandfather in me can not help but to be concerned for your safety .Stay ever vigilant of your skills and never consider it a failure should you need to come back another day, to complete your adventure . Happy New Year and stay safe .
Aloha Claire, just watched your latest vid, man, you are fearless, you put many of us to shame, no matter what the weather you just crack on with your adventures, a great inspiration to me”as always” and always a smile on your chops, excellent stuff, look forward to part 2. Keep up this super channel and take care to stay safe, an amazing lady. Aloha, Simon from Bristol xx
Hi Simon, aw thanks I was really fortunate on this one, thought it was gonna rain the whole time but it was such a beautiful summit 😍 even if I did have to hang onto the summit trig to stop from being blown off it haha. Thank you for watching & for your kind words 🥰 have a lovely eve! Claire
@@WildBeare watching your channel is no chore at all, it cheers me up no end and gives me encouragement to get out and about and enjoy walking through my local and not so local forests, still haven’t plucked up the courage to sleep out alone yet, I find it truly amazing that you do, so I totally look up to you for that, take care and carry on camping, haha. Aloha, Simon x
What a hero you are Claire, those conditions at this time of the year, on your own in that little tent. Your bright sparkling attitude is a example to us all. The wife and I love your vlogs. We look forward to the next.
Absolutely lovely camp and hike/summit! Can't wait for day 2. Allot of people wouldn't even think about leaving the house in those conditions, much less push to summit in them! Well done! Very Inspiring!
Well done for getting up there ,looked really hard work .Glad to see you are prepared for everything nature can grow at you .looking forward to day 2 👍
Nothing but total admiration and respect for you Claire. To go out in that is nothing short of amazing. Well done on doing so and for sharing the experience with us all. Days like this will build you mentally and give the biggest sense of self achievement.
Another summit to add to the collection, Big well done mate! Ice Axe was good thinking, better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. 👍
Thank you :) Yeh, there was no one about on the way up. There were a few people around the summit who had come up from a different direction, but after leaving the summit I didn't see anyone again that evening or the entire next day going down into the valley 😍 love to be alone 💚
Your excitement after reaching your goal !! its an amazing feeling pushing yourself a bit and then achieving your goal. Thank you for another awesome video from an English woman now living in Australia. Reminding me how beautiful England, Scotland and Wales are.
Wow I,m so impressed with your courage and testing your self way to go !!! You are a Wild 🐻 Bear, and a little bit of a bad ass, 💪disguised in a sweet fun loving soul ❤️
You might enjoy ( particularly for car camping) the clip-on Optimus stove windscreen for your stove. It isn’t the lightest, but it guards the flame and doesn’t enclose the canister, which could be bad 💥. That looked to be some epic weather! Thank you for sharing!
congratulations on making the summit , that was a challenge ... there is nothing better than getting to a summit & the sun comes out , even if there is enough wind to blow you over .. actually there is , when the summit is above the clouds
The only thing that puts me off winter camps are the 15-16 hour nights. Half of that can be slept of course, but that still leaves 8 hours in a tiny tent with nothing much to do except eat & attempt to dry out.
Hi Claire - lovely video. It’s pronounced “Moyle Shabod” - we really appreciate it when visitors make the effort to learn to pronounce our names. Diolch.
Hi Gary, thanks for the pronunciation, I did look up how to pronounce it but I couldn't find it anywhere. I don't know anyone from Wales to ask and I also can't ask on the internet, as for my safety I need to not publicly announce where I'm going to be going on my trips. So often I have to just do my best, as all people do with different languages I guess?
Happy New Year Claire. I have seen so many amazing places that i would never have seen if you hadn't have posted your great video's and put your self through the mill. Thank you very much for sharing these fantastic moments.
The weather is cold, high winds, rain and snow so what do we do ? Head out into the mountains… Yeah love it ! Well done Claire lovin the experience. Keep it going.
Another amazing walk. I know how you felt when you slumped into your tent. I felt the same at the end of a long day - get the tent up and just collapse for a few minutes before setting everything up.
You Are A Real Trooper! I know Exactly what it means to be fearful of hights! Just watching the video put me in butterflies several times...Good Job Confronting fears!
Hi Claire, at first I thought bad weather found you, after this intro you go looking for it, you're a nutter, 😁😁, great to see you having the right kit for the conditions, spikes for your boots and the ice axe can be a handy aid when ascending /descending any slippery area not just snow and ice, Take care, off to part two ❤🌨⛺☕
It's a wonderful video that makes you think that in any natural environment, nature is strong, and human beings are small. There are differences in the environment from Japan, but I'm going to challenge myself and bow my head. Be careful not to get hurt, and I'm looking forward to the delivery from now on. As usual, it's cute❤️
The Girlish squeals of delight just make this you must be having so much fun, knackered you may be but hey no pain no gain or something like that, Stay safe take care 😌
Great video Claire that tip with the bag of talc is awesome everytime you do these videos I always think, You Crazy Son Of a Birch hahaha. 🤘🤘🏴🏴🏴
Great vid Claire. I was up there for the first time a few weekends ago in similar conditions, and it was brutal. There was only a handful of hardy souls brave enough. The wind and hail were painful at the top. Loved the walk, but was glad to get down and dry off. Massive respect for camping up there! It's a bit of an unknown gem and defo on the list to do again. Part two please....
Hi Rich, yeh its hard going in those conditions isn't it, especially with that weight! The views were worth it though, I was so happy that it cleared 😍 thank you so much :)
Well done, and people just don't understand sometimes how important it is to make the proper decision out there (as you did). The scrabbly stuff near the top was ick....Hard enough to maneuver w/out the elements fighting against you as well. Beautiful area...
Well done Claire. Another successful climb and camp. My toes were curling when the wind started howling around during the climb. I was praying for you to get to the top safely. I'm really pleased you accomplished your mission. Now you can enjoy a large glass of wine. Cheers.

My thoughts exactly😮
Claire, I've said it before and I'll say it again- you are amazing and your enthusiasm is infectious. Love from Texas ❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks Alex, yep I felt super luck to get that clear summit :D despite having to hold on to the trig 😄 and to get pitched before the hail came back in
Absolutely lovely camp and hike/summit! Can't wait for day 2. Allot of people wouldn't even think about leaving the house in those conditions, much less push to summit in them! Well done! Very Inspiring!
I love Moel Siabod - some of the best views in Snowdonia and a great half day up and down. The 360 degree vista from the top is pretty special.
