Thank you for the great recap of both Season 6 and seasons 1-5. I now feel prepared for Season 7 in a couple of days. Keep up the fantastic work, I love your detailed recaps.
No stop omg I’m in this video!! I was an extra in a couple of episodes for this season, that’s me standing in the street at 15.44! They also shot the print shop riot that day! 😊
This really was a great recap! I’ve been watching Outlander for years, but it’s been so long between seasons. Plus, I hate that feeling when you’re watching a new season and they bring something up and you’re like, “Oh I know that happened and that makes sense…I just can’t remember the details of what that was!! 😖” I appreciate how you went through chronologically, identified the episodes on the screen, didn’t make it all about your opinions, clearly explained what happened and made sure the video matched what you were talking about and most importantly: gave enough detail that I knew what happened, but not so much that I felt like I should just watch the episode! LOL Subscribed and liked! ✅ Thanks Violet!
Hey thanks! I think I've seen every episode like...8 times?? LOL Life got in the way and haven't had the time to catch up on last season this time around. This was perfect to rejog my memory. Je suis prest!
I'd love to subscribe, as this was a great recap, but your avatar in the corner is super distracting and covers some of what's going on. What is the purpose of it?
I'm sorry you found my avatar distracting, I try to make her as unobtrusive as possible, but sometimes it's tricky. Violet is there for both creative and legal reasons. She represents me as this is my commentary/review of someone else's work. She helps establish the work as my own under fair use, legally speaking. Many people choose to put their own faces, but I opted for a much more adorable avatar instead.
Very halpful recap, but for the love of Gaelic, GET THIS STUPID CARTOON OFF OF THE SCREEN! Not only is it distracting and completely pointless, but it covers up a significant portion of the frame. Get over yourself.
After 5 great seasons telling one of the greatest adventure stories ever told, Season 6 plot lines flop around like a near dead fish, fulfilled by nearly imperceptible characters to those we've known for over the 20 years of story that came before. I can't remember when such a great series ever completely fell off a cliff like Outlander did in Season 6! I appreciate the synopsis provided here. It's just too bad Season 6 sucked.
I watched all the 5 seasons with an opened mouth always recommended the series to all my friends. But season 6 I didn’t manage to move after 2nd or 3rd episode. Now the 7th season arrived and I am here just watching the recap to give a chance for the season number 7.
Agree... Season 6 was a dud for my wife and I. Grown bored of the nearly every episode sex scenes. Look... We're not prudes. Sex is natural and it's great that the characters are still so attracted to one another after so long together. I also get that this is a big hook for those lonely 50-60 something divorced and lonely women, but enough already... Also... They messed up with the whole Jamie unfaithful to Claire interaction. He had sex with another woman besides the one he admitted to this season, the mother of his illegitimate child that was raised by Lord Grey. A little research told me that he even admitted so much to Claire a few seasons back, but to me, it seemed like the writers totally forgot that. Maybe my wife and I missed something, but that's how we saw it. The whole PTSD angle and endless stream of antagonists is getting tiring too. But I get it, you need that antagonist angle with each season to continue the story. The last episode with Jamie and Claire hold up in their home... Pure silliness. And the fact that the two of them shot at least three of the crew sent to collect them, with one dying. How do you come back from that from a legal standpoint? Let's not forget about Ian and company killing all the men holding Jamie. I guess along with all the other suspended beliefs we have to have to watch the show, the lack of rule of law as applied to Jamie and Claire needs to be added to this? While I applaud the author for her extensive research into the possibility/plausibility that Claire could "invent" both Penicillin and Ether in the late 1700's, it's just ridiculous. Why don't you just put a damn cape on her an call her "Super Girl" and be done with it. Not being a misogynist here, my wife feels the same way. Don't get me started with Brianne "inventing" matches... Jeebus. She's an engineer from the 1960's and that's the best she can do? I guess the author was tired after researching all the medical theory and didn't want to bother with going down the engineering rabbit hole? I'm not surprised that viewership is about 50% less now than it was in the first season. The show's getting tired. Recycled conflict. Too much drama.

i enjoyed it. I just didnt like how short the season was. Didnt give much time for stuff to happen.
